Mainly popping by to commiserate with you - I'm exactly the same! Last time I went bowling I was like 16 maybe and I still had to use the ramp thing as I have really weak wrists, it's such a struggle. Also, saying "REEEE" is just too coincidental. We know Dan and we know he knows his memes. It would also make sense since recently seems like he's trying to appeal to the edgy straight male audience who makes those kinds of jokes.
this is why I hate shows like tbbt. ppl find it so fing hilarious and than they think that when I'm going through something it's just for a show or something. like it's so easy - I'm so old so why "I don't act like normal grown up" because the population is constantly fed that it's ok to laugh at "weird" things. that it's all maybe done on purpouse by us... Agree with that - a fair few years ago nothing was really judged or off limits (didn't Phil make a rape joke in a deleted video?) because people really didn't understand how insulting they were being - actually, the constant rape jokes had been spread around so much that my brother and I started to use them casually when we were younger (a LOT younger) and it led to my mum breaking down infront of me and telling me she was raped when she was 14... that's one thing that definitely teaches you that those kind of jokes are wrong.awkwardly wrote:I've never heard of the meme at all. but I kind of doubt that Dan knew the exact meaning - maybe he just seen it used as an expression of people getting angry? idk. seems unlikely to me that he would - I can see him doing it maybe back 4-5 years ago, but not sure he would now.
