i think part of that is bc dodie is younger than dan - she's 22 rn, started her channel at 16 or 17 - so from early on her 'branding' was all about being open and vulnerable, which was allowed and even kind of expected bc she's a girl. she seems to be rethinking some of that recently, and working on establishing better boundaries. hopefully she gets better at that soon.Topaz wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2017 3:17 pm Oh no, poor Dan looks super uncomfortable on that tiny swing.

I second this! I know it's written in every show thread here, but make sure that you can trust whoever you are meeting (by having a phone call/skyping) and definitely let someone know where you are and who you are with. I did some (music) forum meetups when I was younger and luckily only had good experiences, but my dad had also insisted on having a phone call with everyone first. I've met people from the internet throughout the years and have mostly had good experiences (one guy turned out to be an abusive sleazeball to his girlfriend, who I met through him and am still friends with), but that's also because I take a lot of precautions!
