Dan & Phil Part 57: Pinky and the Brain
I can only repeat what others have already said: What a lovely video! I'm not Louise's biggest fan lately but I really appreciate her educating people about pregnancy and childbirth in a fun way and normalising talking about it. Very nice indeed.
I also really appreciated Dan when he said there was no reason to be grossed out about the things they talked about. The whole video was very chill, informative and entertaining, I really didn't think it would be this good.
I'm not that keen on Louise, but this was a good video. I was impressed and pleased with how maturely Dan and Phil handled the topic. I hope it sends the message to any male viewers that it's okay to discuss female antomy and biology/reproduction without misogynistic 'ew, gross' comments.
I also loved the self-drag 'placenta' mention. It's more proof, if needed, that Dan has developed and matured a lot in the last seven years. He's almost a completely different person, which is normal and healthy for someone going through their late teens/twenties. I'm proud of him.

“You’re seeing” could well refer to the internet and not just porn. Well at least they all watched ‘The Miracle Of Life’ afterward. I just remembered that Phil got jump scared by the crowning later that day, which I now believe he deserved.
Happy Phanniversary to all those who... celebrate? I’m going to go watch some phan edits and cry.

Happy Phanniversary lmao wonder if they'll give a small acknowledgement of it? I'm pretty sure they're more focused on the board game video but Twitter is filled with sappy feels
Will probably never be over the BONCAS and the beauty of Phil Lester.

Half an hour until the video! I really wonder how long it is - a good board game takes a while to complete but at the same time the average person won't click on a 2h video.
Is is possible for the danisnotonfire channel to have had videos instead? Are there are really old fans that can attest to any videos prior to Hello Internet? (The fraction that there are, lol) The runescape video has no audio so who knows if there was a voice over, or it was just music before. It could just be another Daniel Howell in the world. Also, has Dan played runescape before? I think he has, but I can't remember where he last spoke about it. (I'm just rambling, sorry, but this is too interesting not to talk about)twix wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2017 12:23 amThere's one video we know he uploaded to myspace in late 2006; there's also this channel, from the summer of 2006 and that predates the danisnotonfire account by a few months¯\_(ツ)_/¯onetruetrash wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2017 11:46 pm Okay but why do we never talk about this
This was tweeted before Hello Internet was uploaded, so what is he talking about? I feel like I've said something here about this before.
Also, I hate phan anniversary. It's people celebrating the relationship of other people, and they're not even involved, and they pretend it doesn't exist. I think I've said this every year. It feels weird, sorry. The only positive confirmation we've ever gotten has been Dan's recent liveshow comment about meeting Phil being a lot more wholesome than hello internet. That's something, at least.
I wonder if they hate it, or are indifferent? I know nobody wants the whole but what if they aren't together hypothetical discussion, but at the very least, they'd probably feel weird any which way about it. It feels like people prodding them with sticks, creating hashtags on twitter to celebrate, and tagging them in explicit fanart of their 2009 self's going at it with each other.
At least I haven't seen a cake with the number 8 stuck on.

this is probably very unhelpful but dan reblogged a picture on tumblr a few months back where it said "how do i dab on runescape" and i'm pretty sure he's spoken about the game in some liveshow somewhere. so i'm sure he's played the game at some point in his life? idk im sorry i'm so vague, i'm bored and it's the only instance i can think ofAlso, has Dan played runescape before? I still haven't caught up with everything DnP related I've missed in the past few weeks, but I just want to say that I wholeheartedly agree with this. can't imagine anyone not being annoyed or at least weirded out by something like that, regardless of the circumstances. it's obvious that the phandom constantly goes over the line and treats them like two monkeys at the zoo. I kind of feel sorry for the guys because the phandom claimed so many of their personal things. the internet used to be a "safer space" for them, and now it's invaded and turned into hundreds of thousands of (often dumb) fanfiction tropes. Dan used to view that as "stalking".000dia000 wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2017 4:36 pmAlso, I hate phan anniversary. anyways, I'm gonna go watch the Truth Bombs video now before watching anything else since it seems like the most interesting thing they did this week

I'm not even 5 minutes in and I'm honestly wondering how the FUCK are they like pressed against two other people and STILL manage to be squished and glued to each other, can someone explain it to me

The game looks quite fun! I'm so happy for the boys
I'm not joking when I say I literally do not have 4 people who would play this with me (plus I am broke as heck), so I won't be getting it, but I think it could be a great party game. I hope it sells well, and I love that it seems to have been Phil's idea mostly?
Also, the video for the game was more like "when will Phil finally sit in Dan's lap" than "look at this cool game" for me
EDIT: The commercial/how to play the game video:
Why didn't they do something about Dan's oily skin? And who are all these people?

Oh man, the Truth Bombs video was so amazing. I do think that Hazel and Tom were a good choice considering their rationale was people who won't be easily offended and people who are quick witted enough to provide entertaining answers.
This isn't really the kind of game I like to play myself (it's like a social anxiety nightmare) but please please let this be Dan and Phil's go-to collab game from now on. I'd be all for them playing this with various other youtubers.
I agree that they shouldn't be prodded to interact and I always agree they shouldn't be tagged in shipping or explicit stuff, no matter what the date is. But beyond that - let's be real here. Dan and Phil aren't prodded into doing anything they don't want to do. They're pretty good at evading phandom pressure so I'm not worried about them. Of all the things that could be stressful to see phandom barking up their tree about, being excited that they met and how long it's been seems really innocuous.

Huh, I don't see that many people celebrating it as though it was Dan and Phil's actual anniversary? I've got the obvious bias of only being exposed to who I follow on tumblr and twitter (and here) but the whole hype around Oct 19 reads a lot more to me like people celebrating that Dan met Phil. I've seen a whole lot of 'phan through the years' gifsets but it's more like: this is the day these two people that I love met and I'm happy they did, not this is a special, personal thing for Dan and Phil themselves that I feel entitled to. Because I don't think it is a personal thing for them. For one thing, assuming they're together - and I do, obviously - I doubt it's their anniversary relationship-wise. But it is definitely one hundred percent the day they actually did meet in real life and things went so well that it got the ball rolling on the past eight years. And I think it's totally okay for phandom to celebrate the key event that started... phandom.000dia000 wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2017 4:36 pmAlso, I hate phan anniversary. There's an online version of Cards against Humanity... any programmers around? We need to have an IDB cherry truth bomb showdown!Ablissa wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2017 5:36 pm The game looks quite fun! For real though, I am on the same page as you - looks like fun, but a) I am not a board game person and b) I cannot come up with 3 people who I'd wanna play this with and explain to who Dan and Phil are (I'm pretty private when it comes to being a fan)
Unpopular opinion: Phil's constant sexual innuendos are getting a bit old
Popular opinion (I guess): Can we get DnP to livestream this with some friends?

Didn't even mind Hazel too much for the video
I wish they'd have played 1-2 more rounds of it after they explained it and everything (I don't think it would have been that much longer, they could have just read the questions and sped up the part where everyone writes down their answers)

But I'm definitely getting the game, it looks like so much fun! Great job guys![]()
Loved the video, love the game, love Phil’s mind and personality (I’m sure Dan helped with the questions), I want to own it. I think my siblings would enjoy playing it. Back on the Christmas wishlist.
Fair enough on the anniversary thing, I get it. Though I think it’s also fine for it to be a celebration of phandom, if they hadn’t met eight years ago we wouldn’t be on this forum or interacting and creating on other sites. I say that knowing full well that’s not what most people make it about, I’m guilty there. Ah I see dizzy said it better. :thanks:
Tom's joke, while dark in the context, was genuinely funny! Phil slowly realizing what it meant was even funnier.nigel ratburn wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2017 5:25 pm okay, "the god of serotonin deficiency" and dan as phil's weapon in the zombie apocalypse made me really happy
I second the request to play this again with on their channel, maybe in a livestream.
I loved it. I laughed out loud a lot and wow, they managed to make Hazel AND Tom speechless like that takes talent
I loved it so much, I def am happy they're gonna play it again.
I'm really curious to read what they wrote behind the polaroid, do we have any pic?
Also omg Phil's reaction at the "god of serotonin deficiency" joke is both hilarious and precious, incredible

The video was very amusing but I'm not sure if I'll be getting the game - I can't imagine playing it with my parents/in-laws as it would be far too cringe and don't have enough local RL friends to play it. I could get it to play with my best mate and her husband as we used to play Cards Against Humanity all the time and it was a huge laugh (I always won
) but we don't see them all that often now as they've moved away
Really hope it does well for them - I'm sure it will with the buying power of the Phandom!

If Dan really loved us, he'd set up a hidden camera and then record Phil playing when Phil doesn't think it's going up online so we get to see the real, uncensored Phil Lester humor.
