it's not an argument - it's just pointing out that what people are seeing as a "bulge" is an optical illusion. it even kind of changes shape when he moves. like with the original bruise picture and sheets vs. shorts. i am a personal trainer and i have seen far too many lads in flimsy shorts lol and - it just isn't a bulge. not saying he doesn't have one at all of course. phil wears tighter jeans - we've seen it before and that just wasn't it (this time anyway lol - i am sure there will be other opportunities  ).
it doesn't matter either way, but why not point out something that you find inaccurate? idk - it's a slow day and just offering my view

I got so many tumblr anons doubting me this morning and acting aghast that I implied Phil has a dick and the general outline of it might be visible when wearing loose shorts and no underwear that I did resort to polling some dick-having friends who unanimously agreed it was a case of sweatpants dick so yeah we'll definitely just agree to disagree. (And I'm not saying that passive-aggressively, lol, we just see it differently and that's okay - I also can't believe how much time I'm devoting to talking about their dicks. I honestly don't care that much about their dicks.)

I think we all need to calm down with the conspiracy theories. Phil? Has a dick?
Even for this forum that's a bit much, I mean the man hardly ever swears, you're going to try and make me believe he has a dick? Y'all are too much.
Tinhatting their relationship gets boring, I need to spice it up now and then.

Next on my agenda: Dan and Phil get naked in the shower.

I would love to see how you started that conversation.

And since I do want to contribute, here's some more dick facts for you (especially side-eyeing the monster coke fan fics)

Woah woah now, let's not get over ourselves now. That's a bit much. Next you'll say they have nipples!

I can't believe how much talk of Phil's dick I've read all day. I will end up writing about his dick in between discussing youtube marketing strategies for my thesis, I swear. Maybe having a dick IS a marketing strategy.
Will probably never be over the BONCAS and the beauty of Phil Lester.

My two cock cents - the deeper the voice, the bigger the monster, and Phil has quite a deep voice... I rest my case.

Yeah, same. I think it kind of bothers me actually.

Cis men and many other people have penises and sometimes they're noticable because clothes can be rubbish, are made of thin material, are flimsy or baggy whatever; I think people with breasts struggle with the same thing sometimes because clothes can be see-through or have these strange deep necklines which nobody asks for and it's all a bit rubbish. But we can't help it, a large majority of us have protruding bits on our bodies and I feel like in regards to the glimpse of a penis, women need to kinda grow up and not squeal every time they see evidence of it existing.

Can you imagine how it would be if it was the other way around and if Phil was a person with breasts, and any time he was on screen in a shirt, the response would be "omg he has breasts! Look, the shirt is pulling tight in this gif/screencap, you can see nipple, look look!".

It's distasteful to me and a bit embarrassing  I literally cannot see anything in the gif anyway, I've no idea what everyone is looking at. I just feel a bit bad for poor Phil. Hardly the wonderful conversation I usually like to see on idb, haha.

I literally just logged on to thank you for this post, reading the thread made me deeply uncomfortable just now. Like, how are y'all okay with discussing this so freely on a website everyone can look at? Poor Phil. He might not read idb but I'm pretty sure he's noticed it on Tumblr and Twitter already and I was really hoping idb wouldn't contribute to this kind of discussion because it's seriously invasive but okay. :(

Oh are people squealing about it? All I saw here was 'whoops that happened'. I mean people have definitely pointed out their nips before, too, when they've been noticeable. I was more finding it funny that noticing it at all was some kind of rude thing (or 'reaching' thing), but nobody seemed to be like. ogling it. I don't know dick etiquette well enough.

edit: maybe we've found the only scenario where it would be welcomed to treat them like Ken dolls- nobody look or think about anything in their pants, there's nothing there but smooth plastic

I personally don't mind the noticing part but the pointing it out part. :D Like, I wouldn't do that to someone on the street so why do it to someone on the internet where even more people can see me do it? "Look, you can see his dick!" over and over and over, you know what I mean. It's not because it's controversial or anything, it's just not the polite thing to do imo. It happened. We saw. Now let's move on and not embarrass the man further by talking about it forever and pointing it out over and over. Can't be fun to have thousands of people on the internet talking about how they saw your dick.

This looks cool, I can't wait to for them to talk about it! Also, it seems to be bryony's birthday today? On her twitter she posted a photo of her with a birthday cake, I wonder if this has to do with that?? Or did they just go out to a museum Just because?

The original topic had a context and leading question, though. It's not out of the blue "Look, you can see his dick!" At least for me on tumblr it got brought up because someone specifically asked why Dan and Phil would have been looking at Phil's lap and giggling just before that moment. My pointing out the dick thing (again, on tumblr) was a very non-ogling, non-dramatized explanation of why Dan and Phil behaved a certain way when trying to figure out if Phil should show the bruise.

Damn, I work near there and my friend had been asking me to go see that exhibition lol. It looks delightfully nerdy!

Cornelia tweeted about it also though so unless Dan, Phil, Martyn and Cornelia and Bryony and Wirrow went, I think it was just the fam.

Tbh I didn't just stay out of it, mentioning types of boxers, so I can't really judge, but those are good points too.

From Cornelia's Instagram, she was there too. Cute if a group of them went, from Phil's tweet you'd think it was just him, interesting how they do that sometimes.

In fairness, we wouldn't analyze bedrooms, develop moving conspiracies, judge haircuts, question travel timing, or discuss someone's sexuality on the street either.

I can see how this can make some people uncomfortable, but in my (very personal) opinion, it's really no different than anything else we've done or discussed. Phil wore some very loose, unforgiving shorts in a live show and a conversation occurred much like it would if we suddenly saw a tuft of chest hair again.

confusedpanda wrote: Mon Aug 28, 2017 6:36 pm
IDK why I find this tweet so cute. There's something human about Phil needing to explain the choice to avoid GoT spoilers. It's unlike him... I think that's it.

I agree that all the dick talk is invasive but that's always been my problem with the Phandom in general. I find a lot of the discussions surrounding D&P borderline disturbing, like people speculating about their floor plan so they can figure out where they sleep in order to lend more credibility to the phan conspiracy theory (no offense to anyone that partook in those discussions, it just weirds me out and I always scroll past it). But this forum does almost feel hidden from the rest of the internet, as if only the true phan trashcans will be able to find it. So I'm not too worried that they'll see any of it.
