I was thinking about this post and for some reason my mind went to the mirror pic dan recently posted before wimbledon and I was like hmm why would they bother pinning up a mirror that big if they were going to move out so soon? And then i realised it's not pinned to the wall, its leaning on it. And their walls seem annoyingly blank. idk maybe it's just the aesthetic they're going for, but it just doesn't seem as 'cluttered,' i suppose, as their old apartment. It would also make sense for them to not make an apartment tour if they're going to be moving soon anyway. this isn't really even proof for this theory but it makes me happy.rizzo wrote:
So, in February he and Phil were doing a thing? Probably the secret project/documentary/whatever the fuck. But he separates that from whatever happened in March and notes that he might tell us about it. Assuming they did do a 6-month lease and rented in April-ish, we're coming up on 5 months and roughly the time in which Deps would move to their "forever home" or whatever the potential new place is. Dan would then be able to tell us about it, if he so chose.
Anyway... Obviously, this is all conjecture. But in combination with the "where I'm currently living" comment, it's sort of building upon itself. There's also the potential that their stay in the current place will be longer than 6 months, but IDK. I'm working off of some really loose clues here and they may not be moving at all.

I do like this idea, but I was initally thinking that with what they've said about wanting to stay in London and how London real estate is so crazy and in-demand, it would be pretty difficult to build your own home without going really far out of the city. However, I found a 2013 article about Londoners finding land to build houses on, and this was the first sentence: "There is something seductive about creating your own home, designed and tailored to your taste, with the storage you always wanted, the glass extension, perfect staircase and that big bathroom."confusedpanda wrote: I've aways had this theory that they were gonna build their forever home and have it customized they way they want it to be. And I've seen a few other youtubers temporary move into apartments while the home is being bulit. So if they're building a house...
Anyway that article changed my mind, because apparently people have been having success, without being exorbitantly wealthy, so it's not impossible. However, I feel like it would take a very long time just to find the land, let alone then get approval to build, and then build the whole thing.
I'm curious about those other YouTubers you mentioned, though. Where did they end up moving?

I've been thinking about them waiting for their forever home to be ready for a while now. Their move seemed not really sudden but a bit rushed. It would make sense if they were about to move into their new house, something happened that delayed it, and they had to rent a place for a few more months. I'm thinking, for example, about Alfie and Zoe, who said they were supposed to move into their new house a few months earlier than they did but they were remodeling and something happened and ended up living with boxes around for weeks.
While renting a bigger and more expensive place just for a few months seems weird, if they're in the position to do so without a problem I don't see why they wouldn't. I HATE my current apartment and I've been looking for a bigger one for months now, even though I know I have less than a year left in my current city. Sometimes comfort is your biggest priority.
Anthony, Phil and a puppy, what more could I honestly want?

I hope it's them making a tiny lounge and tiny furniture under Anthony's stairs for dogs to hang out in! Wait, that's already been done, you say? Okay, how about they throw a pool party for the dog!MythicalPinkTrashCan wrote: Yes more dogs! Theories on what it's about?

I believe one was named Mathis (I don't know his channel name but I know he's a semi big ytr) and he lives in the states. I might be getting the apartment thing confused as it might have been a smaller house, but none the less they still moved before actually moving, from what my friend told me (she's a big fan). There was another youtuber she told me about as well that she watches and she said that they moved to remodel their new house, but I cannot remember they're names, I'm horrible with remembering names! They're in the states as well though!BuffyFiona wrote:I do like this idea, but I was initally thinking that with what they've said about wanting to stay in London and how London real estate is so crazy and in-demand, it would be pretty difficult to build your own home without going really far out of the city. I'm curious about those other YouTubers you mentioned, though. Where did they end up moving?Anyway I guess I got too invested in this theory. I think they will probably buy a preexisting house (or penthouse), but might remodel it (fingers crossed for a home reno series à la Jimmy0010's The House Files)
With deppy though, it could be possible that the process of building could've started sometime last year after they came back from touring in aus. the moving hints did start in October. To me, I do find moving before moving a bit strange but it's not like it hasn't been done before.
We're here, we're queer, we're filled with existential fear!

i feel left out and want to add my forever home conspiracy:
they already own the forever home.
so, at least in the US, closing on a home takes at least a month. It can go a little faster if you're paying cash but my guess is they're taking out a mortgage. that's statistically more likely, and they can get a much nicer place that way. If their lease was up on the other apartment before they were able to close on a house, then they'd have a period of time where they had to get another place. A six month lease might be a bit much for such a short amount of time, but there are things that can increase that time. They could have had issues on inspection that the original homeowners needed to address. They could have an issue on appraisal and had to negotiate down the price of the home. (they could have also been closing on a home and then had to back out and had to quickly find another place to rent)
That said, the reason for the longer stay in this particular apartment could have to do with renovations on the new one. Even with good money, it's really hard to find a house that's just what you want especially in the location you want--and if you have the resources to fix it available, it makes significantly more sense to have those changes made while not living in the house. I'm currently living in a house where we are doing serious renovations and it's the worst (i will never forget the days of going to the bathroom at walmart, though i wish i could). And if they, let's say, ordered a new kitchen. It can take a while for custom cabinets to be made or whatever. So they don't necessarily have to be building a house (though they could be). They could just be renovating one.
This could explain why there is so little going on in terms of decorations etc, because a good deal of it is at the new place, and it's also just not worth it to hang things on the walls when you'll have to take it all down and fix the holes in a couple months. Mostly they just need the rooms to film and sleep in. Probably also why they aren't showing us much of it. i mean phil is like ridiculously zoomed in in his live shows.
ok conspiracy theory over lol

I don't know what it is exactly about this collab, but I enjoyed it. It made me laugh a couple of times and I just enjoyed the vibe of it.

Yes, what alittledizzy said! Uhf, this is good Phil. His deep phone voice, his deep voice, the jacket's effect on his shoulders, his troll act saying he's gonna take the dog home and whatever he said that rekt Anthony. And the phone conversation about this opening a door to his dog fashion dreams. Man, is he extra hot when he's like this.
Also Phil in a video where they do a Jenna Marbles-type thing of making tiny clothes for a dog. Anthony's spin on it coming from a demanding diva dog. Phil and Anthony working together to get it not quite right and then, of course, Phil being Phil with the dog. She's a pretty dog too. And Anthony throwing in some self-deprecation in his search history at the beginning with things like "watermelon soup". So glad they did separate collabs, great to see Phil with someone else he works well with. It wasn't just Phil, they had good chemistry and bants all the way through.
Ooh, I'm a butterglutton now. Sexy.

I think I would have clicked out of it, it Phil wasn't in the video. I like seeing Phil interacting with other people and how much more "normal" he behaves, but if you take away that, and even him for that matter, wasn't that great of a video. I'm trying to think of what made Dan's collab much more entertaining...more wiggle room for spontaneity? Idk. I say a lot of my "meh" comes from them tearing out shapes in the yoke that turned it from semi-alright creation to complete garbage and hurts my soul, I might have a better appreciation for the video if the creation was actually successful and suave, then I'll be preaching about fashiondesigner!Phil
