I'm way behind like usual so I have a question about them missing their flight story. I'm sure it's a dumb question/ I don't understand something properly, but I'm so confused right now:

Why does it matter that Phil booked the car in the wrong time zone?

Don't worry I am also too very behind, but I don't get HOW Phil booked the car in the wrong timezone. They said something about it currently being BST (which it has been for ages), so is Phil's phone (although he once said he doesn't have Uber on his phone and had to use Dan's) always an hour behind? I'm so confused.

Being Portuguese I was screaming at them 'THAT'S PORTUGUESE NOT SPANISH YOU IDIOTS' but obviously being biased I can't tell how objectively easy it is to recognise the language and distinguish it from spanish without knowing how to speak it. I'd actually be curious to know if most people who don't speak either language saw the difference or if they were as confused as Phil.

I loved that video! They were both very happy and flirty (no surprise there) and I'm always happy to see Phil win a DvsP. I really hope they play it again in the future, as I'd love to see them it work together rather than compete. The fact that most of the places were random fields in the USA made me laugh. I was also surprised by them not taking the 'km/h' in the street as a huge hint, but I guess they were distracted. :wtf:

About VidCon, my only wish was a Nathan collab/selfie because he's just the best and most attractive man (I will not rest before I see deppy wearing Nathan's merch aka the most beautiful merch ever created by a youtuber), but I bet the only thing we are getting is a Cat collab ^kill me^.

That Geo vid was so perfect! Phil looked so good! Dan's curls were extra curly due to the heat (Is the air con too noisy to have on while filming?) He was wearing the weed jumper which I don't like. He didn't seem extra to me. Why is he so paranoid about seeming to? They were so giggly and happy. Love Dan's swearing. Love the game. Love that I was wrong about who would win. Love that it was long.

Yup, both have K's on the buttons! That denim jacket is making my life worth living tbh.. They both look so fucking good here ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!

First of all, both wearing grey, (is that korean couple comment relevant here? ) Dan's hair looks so good. Secondly... Fuck. Phil. Fuuuuck. He looks so good!! Yes!! That denim jacket really suits him and it brings out his eyes aswell. Fav outfit this year by far. Also the sleeves rolled up?? Consider me deceased.

Video was super fun, I really enjoyed it and the little element of surprise not knowing where they were. Pretty neat game concept, I often like going on google maps and dumping myself somewhere but I like how this makes you guess. They seemed really happy too which was lovely.

I don't speak Spanish or Portuguese but I thought Portuguese has the vowels with the tildes (is that even the word in English? Idk.) and Spanish doesn't but I could be completely wrong. That was what I was basing my guessing on at least.

So it automatically just changes to a random time even though you haven't actually changed timezones? (maybe you should get that looked at ). iPhones etc automatically change to BST, but if it was really that it didn't change, then he would be late for everything surely.

Here I come from the dead to talk a lil about vidcon but by time i got here everyone had moved on to the geoguessr game ): i havent watched the whole vid yet but yes, like grindr. yes.

try guys:the try guys thing killed me, in my opinion they get credit for being bold enough to do that. it was such a read, especially with them pushing each other away!! i enjoyed it.

Anyone heard of any other previously hidden youtube couples discussing whether they were open about their relationship with the community or not?

the first that comes to mind is Zoe and Alfie, who did hide their relationship and were (sort-of) outed by a shot of a computer desktop with a nearly-kissing picture of them in a friend's vlog. I think Zoe did post a tumblr post about it or something? It was a few years ago.

I find Dan's choice to apologize for being 'extra' interesting because to me he did seem a bit more short tempered and acerbic than he normally is in videos, but I didn't mind at all because it felt very honest (as opposed to overstated loud screeching or things played up for the camera) and Phil took it every bit in stride. I got the feeling that this was just normal fussy Dan in a bit of a mood because it was hot and uncomfortable, but maybe because it was closer to normal fussy Dan he felt more uncomfortable about it than he would on-purpose banter?

I have a Spanish GCSE and my grade is the only word I know in Spanish. (I suck at languages, I owe my GCSE to google translate)

I recognised it as not the Spanish I did at GCSE but thought it could've been a regional variant? I didn't realise it was Portuguese. In my defence, I genuinely thought it was Spanish countryside, if it had looked less like Spain I might have realised the signs were Portuguese.

I was going to say that Phil in particular looks SO good here but actually they both look lovely (both in grey shirts as well awww) I love Phil in blue, this denim jacket is up there with the foamy Illuminati t-shirt and the blue shirt with black stars for me

The only thing I noticed that seemed particularly "extra" was him being a sore loser at the end and complaining about Phil taking too long, and it came across as 100% heat-induced frustration. I think alittledizzy was onto something with him being uncomfortable because this attitude was a more natural kind of extra-ness, as opposed to his usual performance-style extra-ness (if that makes any sense lmao).

It really is! I wonder who decided on that font? I think I saw Nathan Zed posting his jacket, but it was a mirror selfie so harder to read and now I can't find it...I can't remember if his font was the same or not.

Re: Dan's extraness--I didn't find it more 'extra' than normal? I did notice that there was less table slamming and screeching, so I actually found him less extra than the past few videos. I'm not great at reading tones though, so I usually judge things like volume or actions. Was he more insulting than usual? I didn't notice that either...good time for a rewatch, I reckon.

I second this. alittledizzy tends to be very perceptive about these two, and this is no exception -- I think that's exactly what he's uncomfortable about.

Phil was not bothered in the least, so neither was I. I'm guessing he sees this sort of irritable but not angry Dan quite often. I thought it was kind of cute, honestly, he seemed at ease enough to be a bit of a baby about things without turning every response into a joke, and it was endearing.

I only know a limited amount of Spanish, basic conversation starters, certain foods, numbers up to 20, colours, days and months - the stuff you learn in the first few years of school before you pick GCSE's (oh and I know salida means exit - or departure as the direct google translate says -just from going to Spain a fair few times).
