"I went to Disneyland in January once. My mum somehow, I think I was like 10, managed to convince the school to give me a week off at the first week of school — which they never do because obviously that’s a terrible idea and you get off to a terrible start with your education — but we did. And we went to Disneyland Paris. And it was completely empty, it was completely empty, and I had like the best time ever. We went to the Hollywood Park(?) one, and you know the Aerosmith rollercoaster, I went on it five times consecutively [because nobody else was there but me, the guy in charge of the ride was less than enthused about it]. I was in the front row, I think my grandma was just sat on a bench outside waiting for me to get off, just texting or whatever a grandma does, doing her sudoku puzzle, I don’t know. And the guy came round, like ‘surely this child has had enough’ and there I was in the front row, just holding onto the thing, like ‘do it! do it! whoo!’ Which must have given me severe brain-shaking issues that would frankly explain a lot of my behaviour, to be honest."
