re: sherlock, maybe they went to a bfi screening on friday? there would have most likely been fan pictures, but maybe all those tjlc-ers who went couldn't see past their agony over their conspiracy blowing up in their faces to notice dan&phil. jk.

Or maybe they watched the leaked episode on Saturday instead

it could be that, but it's not like they just went "aw, the episode leaked and we already watched, better cancel the watching party and go see The Cursed Child!" unless they bought the tickets off some rando in the line for 1000% above face value.

I think they already had tickets as Dan did mention about going to see it in the live show he just didn't say when. Maybe it was a suprise present for Phil as it looked lile he knew nothing about it because he mentioned going to a sherlock party?

He talks about his own life as a teenager towards the end of the clip as well; what do you think of it? And how much do we know about his young adulthood? All I've seen is his tumblr reply to someone in 2009 where he talks about how some children beat him. Anyone care to elaborate?

He describes secondary school as hell via drawing and then:

Thankfully I got over that and had that piano and my nerdy obsession with acting to keep me occupied as I was in a load of productions in a nearby theater. Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story, and Fame, and blah blah blah. But then when I was seventeen, I kind of changed my mind. I don't know why. These kids who were mildly cooler than the nerds I ate lunch with were all, "Hey Dan, you should come down litres of cider in the woods with us at ten pm." And this little voice in my head said, "Dan, you'll never actually be an actor, you know that right?" So I went yeah, probs, okay then, and ditched everything.

but yeah, I looked into my alcohol pile and thought of how being under 18 never stopped me from getting alcohol
5 minuite walk to the corner shop, and a bunch of happy 15 year olds getting wasted with cheap cider in the woods >_<

but maybe they just dont care for the children where i live

the story changed a bit from being 15 and drinking cider in the woods to being 17 and doing the same thing
i believe the 17 year old story, seems like young dan just fudged the ages to make himself seem cooler (no judgment- very teenaged thing to do)

There's also possibility that later he said he was older cause of his young audience. Reality is that many 15 years old have sadly way easier time getting alcohol then they should. When I'm looking back it's kinda scary how many of my friends could get it

I'm a little late to the party so am going to mention a lot of unrelated things-

I loved Dan's tweets about their Harry Potter outing- I bet they had a great time and
I also got the impression that Moonpride did that it was probably a surprise or present because of how Dan mentioned it during the liveshow

Phil's new header is adorable - now he just needs to change his YouTube profile photo and all will be well...

also - (sorry, can't post the link for some reason) Marcus Butler did another Instragram video- This time with Phil -it's not much but if someone wants to post the vid his part starts at around 1:38

I got that feeling too from him posting it on YouTube and Facebook as well. It's a really good one that sums him up pretty well. There are quite a few others that are really good too, but most aren't so great to be his long-term one.

I had a phan related dream

where basically they were their normal selves but they had a framed picture of them in a wicked coupley position of Dan laying on top of Phil on the couch..? I gotta get off this forum

so maybe my phan goggles are too tight on my head but if that was Dan's gift for Phil than that's ADORABLE. Presents like that where it's an experience are so much better and more thoughtful than material objects (I guess it's a case to case basis, but I'd assume Deppy would agree because they already have plenty of stuff/money). I guess the Sherlock party could've been after the actual release day if it didn't work with one of their schedules (I've done this before with breaking bad, RPDR, AHS, IASIP, ect. ) OR their friends could've went along with that Sherlock plan to help cover for Dan's surprise. #boyfriendgoals

It could've been a gift without being a surprise too. When my Dad took me to Phantom of the Opera for my 16th birthday I knew about for months (but during the trip he had a different surprise, so Dan could've done that as well). I took my brother to see a stand up routine by a comedian we both love for Christmas and I asked him if he would be free that day before I bought the tickets.

We have no PROOF that it was a surprise, but I also think Dan and Phil are close enough for Dan to be able to plan a big surprise like that without being worried that Phil has prior obligations. (I feel like Dan would either already know, or it'd be easy for him to find out).

I would be more inclined to say probably not a birthday gift just because Dan is the one that loves Harry Potter, not Phil - though, lmfao @ Dan if he bought Phil a birthday gift that was basically more of a gift to himself.

But Dan would definitely know Phil's schedule, and people have already theorized that he might have had Bryony or someone invite them to the Sherlock party as a cover to make sure Phil didn't plan anything else and the day was free. And if it was a gift, then yeah he'd have had the tickets in advance, but he wouldn't have been saying that in a livestream or anywhere it would get back to Phil, that would have negated the surprise.
