Agreed. It always baffles me when people seem to think not being offensive is some kind of forced positivity or forced "political correctness". Some people just like to avoid hurting others, especially marginalised groups. There's nothing wrong with that. Dan still has some dark humour moments, he just does it without offending/hurting others which is possible (this might be news to the likes of Pewdiepie and Shane Dawson). I will never understand why so many people perceive being rude and offensive as edgy and more real than someone like Phil, who just happens to have a very sweet personality. Maybe people just like having their negativity and hate speech validated so they don't have to put effort into changing their behaviour. "Look, XY says being offensive is okay so I can be offensive too, he's so real!"
Birdie I totally agree with you. The "realest" youtuber I can think of is Drew Monson and his jokes are never on anyone's expense but his own. Then really offensive youtubers like Shane Dawson are more persona-reliant than Deppy could even DREAM of being.

1. "Santas sack" - thanks for ruining that for me.

2. I love how Dan back off with the camera when Phil shushes the "gas man".

Great video, and great liveshow.

Nicely Phil-of-energy!

But who the fuck am I kidding? I'm mostly just the rotting banana peel at the bottom of the phan trash can who genuinely gets excited over the thought of them snuggling in bed. Idgaf let a bitch live

Phil's hair was pushed back in all the little "skits" of him playing himself #DownWithFringe2k17 I really liked the video though! People in the comments noticed more similarities with mannerisms with him and Dan but I think he's just trying to update his persona to make it more like himself.

I'm side-eyeing Phil for including the hot knife in the thumbnail... :sideeye: please tell me it's not actually in the video

I couldn't watch the whole ls but the part I did watch was really great. I need to rewatch the whole thing later or tomorrow. I just love to listen to Phil and look at his beautiful face
I have to admit that I dabbed with Phil, I cringed so hard but I did it. So glad it was the last time that he'll do it!

The video was funny. The jumper looks great, Phil looks amazing. They are the hugest candle nerds I've ever heard of, getting each other candles for Christmas, talking about candles all the time, having candles everywhere  I didn't even realise how much I've missed videos of Phil alone. Excited for future content

This was very incoherent, sorry.

Oh ffs a rainbow tape out of a unicorn's butt? Hate me as you want, secretagentphan, but that's the gayest shit I've seen this year so far. Like, what is he even going to wrap with that? Their gas pipes? BYE.

Yas! If you want a see a persona then all you need is Shane Dawson. Ain't nobody got nothing on him. Personally I think it's probably damn near impossible to not develop a persona to some extent for YouTubers. You learn what about your personality your audience likes and can't help but play up those aspects and downplay or hide the ones people aren't too keen on.

Phil's new content The live show was nice and lovely as always and I loved the new video. Cute and weird as always. Also he looks good af in that ugly ass sweatshirt. They got each other candles for Christmas (I find that so funny for some reason). Is it just me or are they both editing their videos more lately? Like using effects and stuff. Anyway A+ from me, I missed Phil so much

The first thought I always have after watching an amazingphil video (or live show) is that I love Phil

Interesting that deppy got each other decorative candles- that's not the go to gift I'd get my best friend (I'm not making a statement about their relationship- I just think it's funny they got each other the same thing)

Also- live show thought- Phil mentioned listening to the Undertale soundtrack while cleaning his room - and we know from Dan/Dan's Spotify he recently listened to it so I wonder if Phil shares his Spotify account. I've always been curious about Phil's music tastes and I want to know more!

Edited to add: I wonder if Phil has a reindeer kink- there was the wooden reindeer he made Dan blow into, the reindeer tweet, the whole reindeer thing in akinator, and now the deer candle?

It did me remind me of Dan too, but I think you're right. It makes sense for him to be like him, just like the "Dan is absorbing Phil's soul" meme holds some truth. not the soul exist thing though

I really liked it. It made my day and he also looked very good.

Sorry to say i found this video boring, only good part was the gasman skit.
Really, grabbing things with your toes? who tf is going to believe that, but i guess he needs a new quirk for the AP persona. meh.

eta: about the creative project he wants to do, i think he might try creating a series of some sort for youtubered.

Have you ever met a person with really long toes?

My first college roommate literally did the same thing. If there was any possible way she could reach it with her feet, she was going to pick it up with her toes. And then put it back so she could call me into the room and tell me to watch how she could do it.

Bit jealous of Phil being able to share his love of candles with his housemate...my husband is a grumpy bastard and always whinges when I light any of my beloved candle collection

Didn't Dan also say in his ls that he tidied his room while listening to the Undertale soundtrack? :D

I think when he grabbed things with his toes, he was atuall barefoot, if there's one thing that will not change in 2017 it is Phil's feet insecurities smh

I've heard enough of the gas story now tbh let it die.

I like when Phil does these skits like Dan. They influence each other so much it's great.

I can't wait for Phil's birthday, for him to turn 30 and for people to shut up. Also the same for when he inevitably reaches 4 million subscribers, maybe people can also shut up then. Also nothing more annoying than people treating him like a child in the comments, Phil is a lovely man but he's a human being and does not need people condescendingly treating him like a child or like some object for them to fantastise over and dress-up oh wait the phandom already does, and with Dan too

Ignore me, I'm in a weird mood today. I need to re-watch it tomorrow when I'm not sick.

I.. really didn't notice any difference with Phil in this video? The video was fine, but more of the same old formula imo.

I don't have long toes but I am a toe grabber. It's a habit I picked up from my mum who had to do it when she was small as a cure for flat feet. I may horrify people but I won't have fallen arches! (according to the nhs in the '50s anyway)

A very nice solo AmazingPhil vid.
He looked really good.
Love that Dan also gave him a candle. They sure love their candles.
Also that rainbow unicorn tape dispenser is awesome.
Liked the editing.

Oh god, I don't want to be that kid. I'm cool with lighthearted shenanigans (not that you guys need my approval lol that sounds bad sorry) I'M A FUN TIME I'M SORRY

Also I agree there wasn't a HUGE change from Phil, but I didn't think there would be. I noticed change in his "persona" not his actual content if that makes sense?

Also Shop Shiba said they sent those jumpers as a gift to Dan and Phil, so they didn't buy each other matching jumpers.

I loved this video! I like chill!Phil just updating us on life. (If anyone wants to know more about his new jumper, here you go.)

The skits were adorable. Phil with a quiff in them was killing me in the best way. "Emotionally, aren't we all connected to the same flow pipe?" is my new life motto.

Also, I 100% grab things with my toes, so that was #relatable.
