I've just had a thought totally out of left field. (That's a lie. Chris Kendall's recent tweet inspired this.)

Remember that voice-over Dan and Phil mentioned doing last year that wouldn't be out until... well, now-ish. Did they ever specify that it was a show/movie necessarily? Perhaps they voiced a game? They are, after-all, sponsored by a major game developer.

Re: Other paths that might pursue. I could see Dan moving into gaming and/or music in some way. Maybe writing, using his analytical mind for research and critique. I could also see him running a business or organization when he gets a bit older, perhaps something political/social justice-oriented. Phil perhaps something in film/television- directing, maybe even cinematography. I also could see him getting involved in animation (e.g.- voice acting) or some kind of emerging interactive media platform. Or maybe his love of animals will lead him to be a presenter for some kind of children’s wildlife program. Or both of them might decide to kick off their f/t onesie modeling careers in 2020. They have options, that’s for sure.

As a big fan of natural hot springs I hope to goodness they get their soak on at some point in the future…but seeing as both of them seem a bit uncomfortable with the whole public nudity thing, they might consider decompressing with something private…very relaxing and very, very…bro-taular

THIS! Honestly, this would be the best thing ever, and Dan's already had all the necessary experience in throwing random dick jokes, male attraction mentions and funny voices to keep his audience engaged when he's talking serious business (said with all imaginable respect to Jon Stewart and John Oliver, I adore both). Unfortunately, I think he's too much of a misanthrope for that, you have to believe in people. And too afraid of critique.

As for politics, I just imagine the press going after him, even the most annoying fans would pale in comparison, he would never but we'd finally know for sure if phan is real

i think what Director Ed said about them in the documentary, about them working hard to do whatever it is they want, means they will succeed at anything they try for. The trick is really wanting it. Dan could totally be a lawyer, but if he doesn't want to, he wont put in the effort. Phil could be a big time director, but maybe he doesn't want to. idk. I'm sure in a world without youtube they would have found something else they love eventually.

Yeah, same, I think they can do whatever they truly want, the bad thing is that they lack the motivation, but they are fairly young, and have a very comfortable life so it's not like the need to do it right now, enjoy the moment guys, just don't spend too much $$$ on expensive clothes and souvenirs. (also the cat cafe thing made me remember that delightful fic, thank you )

-also I really hope they do go on holiday for phil's bday, I would love japan again but if not just anywhere is fine, i just need them to enjoy some private "we" time. and if that includes some platonic steamy showers then who am I to judge?!
