some past phannie hysteria is welling up in me (i apologise) and i'm trying to decode what dan says at 2:15 (when phil throws the first batch of clothes at him). it sounds awfully like "[this was] the first relationship in your life" (he's admonishing phil after the 'twink' shade line - which was hilarious btw )

I think he says "never done a push-up in your life". Phil calls him a twunk which is twink + hunk, then there's a jumpcut and Dan says something about a push-up before getting hit in the face by a coat hanger. So I think there was twunk talk that got cut out there.

- Phil telling Dan he ain't really a twink anymore made me choke on my tea, I'm talking coughing up a lung with tears in my eyes wondering if this would be the end. Phil Lester is the king of comedy, joke of the year, everyone else can go home.
- Dan's zinger about Phil's poor posture was a nice attempt at leveling the playing field, but it was all for nothing.
- Dan going all whiny voice because Phil implied he didn't look good.
- I hope Phil steals the jumper from the soft boye look, it'd look great on him.
- Reminds me of when that Phil's low effort YouTube Short about Minecraft went outside the bubble last year.
- Dave. Not Dave. No, not Dave. Dave.
- "You'd accidentally pierce my other head if you threw it on a low-ball." Hawt.
- Dan calling Phil 'dad' when he needs help with something, just like when he couldn't figure out how a can opener worked. Inch resting.
- The out of context innuendos reminded me of The Wardrobe. Phil said 'come' in a very specific way there imo I'm just saying.
- Dan pretends he hasn't owned light up shoes before. Also tbf, in the 70s airline regulations weren't as strict as they are now so maybe they should belong in that era.
- He needs to be a little more slutty and pull it up but yeah Dan looks great in a skirt (though this is one ugly effing skirt wtf is that pleating?). I'm guessing this is what inspired him to get the slutty nun costume.
- The skirt might not have immediately awakened his inner whore, but the see through trousers certainly did considering he flashed Phil.
- "You look a bit Tory" somehow ends up being only Phil's second best insult towards Dan in this video. But...
- ...it was only his first politics joke 'cause he then disses Liz Truss. Spicy Political Phil!
- This what you get when you cross a furry with a girlie on TikTok doing a stupid dance. The cheese suit is still way worse btw.
- The Dan shirt and skirt combo however, is in fact worse than the Phil dress.

Although, Dan is quite savage when it comes to make fun of himself and he has made jokes around the ship. I do not see him having problems with it. It looks different to Shane Dawson's videos: Shane was problematic himself and it looked like he took those topics seriously, while it is clear that try guys are just acting and being purposely silly/idiots.

I'd say that Dan would be down to it if it were not for schedule conflicts or if te Try guys were to be seen as problematic

I wouldn’t be so sure. Phil said in his am I a difficult person video that he still holds grudges against youtubers that were rude and disrespectful to them back in the day and I'd argue that this was extremely disrespectful, no matter how "silly" it was. There's a big difference between Dan making the occasional joke about phan, a ship he's a part of, and people who have no connection to them getting on stage in front of thousands of people and mocking their relationship. If I was dnp I'd sure as heck be holding a grudge against them, I think there's a good reason why the circle of people they'll collab with is so small.

But who knows, maybe Dan is more forgiving.

Yeah, I thought that was interesting as well! A few days before that Dan said that they had promised themselves to not watch more of Our Flag Means Death until he got back. Yep, I do always love getting a morsel of an opinion. I enjoyed this too! Especially the 'Dan is a slob' bit and the intro to a porn-like story about Dan's cousin. Short, sweet, topical and erring on the strange - nice one, 'Phil' *shifty eyes*

This was a fun video! Definitely agree that the slightly unsettling vibe of it reminded me of old-school Phil videos. I'm surprised at how accurately the AI managed to make the script feel like a Phil video? Particularly enjoyed the fake plant stuff and the Dan's cousin thing. Also loved the outtakes at the end! I've been missing Phil lately and was happy to see this yesterday!
