Phil did an Oreo spon back in the day that got taken down (I think because it wasn't made clear it was a spon or something?). It basically just involved them having a 'lick race'... i think it's about that whole drama when the oreo licking video wasn't a clear #spon.

Ok, ty. that was what I was thinking of but something about what dan said made me think he was talking about something more recent, and I now can't remember why so it was probs that.shan wrote: Thu Feb 25, 2021 9:58 pmPhil did an Oreo spon back in the day that got taken down (I think because it wasn't made clear it was a spon or something?). It was a comment about what happened "the last time you shared an Oreo with me" and it referenced the ad disclosure scandal where UK youtubers got called out for not disclosing when something was sponsored. Somehow, despite this being a pretty broad thing, Phil became the poster child for it for not disclosing that his video (with Dan) called the Oreo Lick Race was sponsored.inanerat wrote: Thu Feb 25, 2021 9:55 pmI wasn't fully paying attention for the full liveshow but this caught me and I can't immediately think of the reference? Speaking of being perceived... like, I guess on some level I knew they must know about dannies and phillies but even so I *absolutely* was not prepared to hear that come out of his mouth
(‘ultimate phillie’ tho, aww. adding new 2k21 title to his existing no 1 Phil trash award)

I am bothered by the fact that I'm seeing the hallway flipped since it's in the mirror XD. But also stoked that they demonstrated the actual attack by physics.

I'm really endeared by the fact that these liveshows so far really do reflect the hearts of what Dan and Phil's old liveshows used to be. Dan's Tuesday show that's really just anecdotes vaguely on a theme and Phil trying to structure it with games that he hasn't entirely thought through? I'm living 2017 again, except this time it's much less stressful and a whole lot gayer.
And dare I say, better? Phil benefits from a slightly less structured conversation, and we all benefit from less of a chance of a Dan waffle with Phil there to keep him in check. I mean this is the podcast format we’ve all been begging for ever since their radio show. And I have to wonder if these sneaky lads haven’t built-in a little professional podcast space for future shows in the new house.alittledizzy wrote: Thu Feb 25, 2021 11:06 pm I'm really endeared by the fact that these liveshows so far really do reflect the hearts of what Dan and Phil's old liveshows used to be. If so, this is honestly a brilliant way to backdoor pilot it. They can take a few weeks off to get sorted when they actually do move then be like, well guys, we enjoyed that so much, now we'll do it once a week on [insert whatever platform].Phantasy wrote: Thu Feb 25, 2021 11:38 pmAnd dare I say, better? I really really REALLY hope that’s the case. A podcast is something I’ve always wanted them to do; it’s their element. So I wanna clown for a bit and think about how they (especially Dan) keep saying how much fun they’re having with this streams, so who knows.. even if just once a week instead of two, that would be a nice way to engage with their audience after they moved.Phantasy wrote: Thu Feb 25, 2021 11:38 pm And I have to wonder if these sneaky lads haven’t built-in a little professional podcast space for future shows in the new house.

I felt Phil was yes, taking it to seriously, but without enjoying it too much himself maybe because of nerves?
Dan was the sweetest though, truly truly the sweetest. He kept praising Phil and actually being entertaining (as opposed to simply "being there") which truly shined against a more placid/serious/most likely anxious Phil
Dan knows that it is important we enjoy their content: if Phil is too anxious to help with that, it could be detrimental for Phil's brand/Phil's Thursdays/Phil's own wellbeing. Performance anxiety + the feeling that people were bored must be horrendous for an entertainer whose projects have already been rejected. But there was Dan, showing his support, making him laugh to relax and all!
Regardless, I hope Phil actually ended the Stereo sessions feeling well about how it went. But I also hope he changes the format a little bit. As other have said, it was not as enthusiastically captivating as Dan's one.

The two moments of the liveshow I'm obsessed with - when Dan says 'goodbye Phil, hello Pierre' when talking about moving to live his Parisian twink fantasy, and when Dan asks Phil isn't he glad he found 'the one person' to indulge him by listening to stuff like what his brother's hamster was named.
It makes me think that a) Dan really genuinely didn't have close enough connections before Phil that he felt like anyone wanted to listen to his inane random life facts and therefore regards that mutual interest between them as rare and precious, and b) very frequently lovingly teases Phil about how he found 'the only guy' to [insert whatever silly thing].
My brain is just permanently tuned in to Dan and Phil love right now. Though I'm also kind of happy for a few days as a breather to listen back to the other shows and properly digest them. Two hours in three days is... it's a lot, you guys. It's a lot.

My favourite bit was definitely when Phil said he was good in medium doses and Dan said “hey Phil, you’re good in high doses”.

This! Dan actually being comfortable saying those things is such progression. I am enjoying the love on main SO much. Parisian twink bit was so funny. As was the mock annoyance at Dan and Jan. And the entire concept of the only game Dan will play and actually deign to compete in is one about Phil.alittledizzy wrote: Fri Feb 26, 2021 2:23 pm The two moments of the liveshow I'm obsessed with - when Dan says 'goodbye Phil, hello Pierre' when talking about moving to live his Parisian twink fantasy, and when Dan asks Phil isn't he glad he found 'the one person' to indulge him by listening to stuff like what his brother's hamster was named.

I also got a feeling, at the beginning, that Phil's complained about more than one of Dan's tweets, as he doesn't think the dark mode one initially is the one Phil's talking about. Which is SENDING me.

Can somebody explain me the zoom thing?
So, there is Dan facing his laptop screen & (somewhat) the mirror pixel which (somewhat) "faces" the wavy-mirror which (again) "faces" the bathroom window.
Once Phil facing the bathroom window, as shown in the clip, he can see Dan's face and viceversa... but he cannot see Dan's screen: the mac's webcam is directed at Dan. Phil only sees the cover-side of the laptop.
Thus, how could he have seen the "very important people" Dan was having a meeting with? Unless the webcam (impossibly) was facing towards the pixel mirror, it is only Dan the one able to see Phil, isn't it?

The story about Phil seeing people on Dan’s screen is probably a stretch. It’s not the first time they have embellished a story for comedy it was probably only dan who did see. I think it’s more “if Dan’s laptop was facing that way they WOULD of seen”. They just like telling us about scandalous things. Remember the story they tweeted and told us on liveshow “Dan and Phil were seen coming out of a bush “getting dressed” by a subscriber” when really Phil was putting on a shoe after dan photographed his foot... like it’s super funny to me that they WANT us to think of them getting out of a bush half dressed.Levitating wrote: Fri Feb 26, 2021 5:27 pm Can somebody explain me the zoom thing?

A vlogger i follow posted a video sposored by stereo where she talked about it for a few minutes. I've only seen her talk about it on instagram stories once or twice and i think she's done two shows so far. She's the only one except dnp i follow who i've seen done anything with stereo.Amiaw wrote: Fri Feb 26, 2021 6:20 pm I don’t follow anyone else on Stereo so does anyone know if other creators are doing this much spon for their shows?
