Adding in The Final Google Feud video. They were vibing so hard the entire time, from the opening rant about technology to the inside jokes, the mid-video pizza delivery war, Phil's genuine stress at not getting answers right and Dan absolutely living for it. They were clearly exhausted (and maybe a bit tipsy...?) and it was just so laid back and felt kind of intimate somehow. Plus some truely incredible facial expressions. A definite S-tier video imo.

I've been following the Busy Philipps Insta account ever since she and her daughter visited DnP last year. I like her a lot! She's a rich celebrity, sure, and she posts a lot, but overall she's very likable and shares a lot of her life. She's mentioned in a few posts this week that the anniversary of the DnP/London visit was coming up (obliquely; I don't think she's tagged them ever since that first visit), but she made a long post today giving more context for the visit, tagging DnP, and saying that Birdie was in crisis this time last year (they came out as non-binary this year and had been struggling for a few years prior to that) and Busy says she was just trying as a mom to do whatever it took to reassure her daughter that it would get better, including leaning on some London connections to get a chance to meet DnP. She doesn't say anything about the meeting, but the general implication is that maybe seeing DnP's representation as happy queer people was a part of the "it gets better" message Busy was hopeful to show Birdie.

Anyway, think what you want about Busy Philipps and what she shares about her life and her child's life and the privilege she has to go to bat for her child in this specific way, but it makes me happy to think that DnP helped a kid eventually feel better, even if in a small way.

Aw, I hadn't seen the post but that's lovely. Good on DnP and Fearne too, and it's nice that she is happy to be publicly grateful to them. You don't see most Hollywood celebs shouting out others like that. Just a small gesture like tea with them will mean so much to a child. As would her mum making such an effort to do something to support her whether at the time or in hindsight as she gets older. Makes me feel a bit emotional!

I saw a TikTok where this girl was rating different celebs she had met based on how nice they were, which included Phil (she rated him highest). Birdie commented on the video that “he’s the nicest and most kind accepting awesome person I’ve ever met”

I've been on a bit of an Ashens kick recently, and I just keep thinking of Phil and all the weird shit he buys. With the amount of stuff Phil has I feel like there could be an amazing 'tat Phil has bought' collab of some kind lmao. Some part of me years for Stuart's sarcastic and informative commentary about shit Phil has bought for whatever damn reason. Kind of a roast, kind of a haul, kind of co-commentary. idk.

I'm adding it to my idea list (unofficial)! although might not be as strong as the previous ones.

Also reminded me that dnp were actually in his sofa video back in 2016... and Phil can't act from a script that's not his at all but it's kind of endearing.

sarahmlee47: Had to go back through the raw files from this shoot I did in the summer (publicity for #youwillgetthroughthisnight, which is published in May!) and found this frame that I overlooked in my original edit but now really like. I was so nervous about this shoot because it was my first in months and because I was worried about distance and Covid etc (I was sheilding at the time) but we managed to pull it off while maintaining strict social distance and despite my fears it was actually fun. And @danielhowell couldn’t have been a better subject. The shoot was a good lesson in that despite it all (pandemic etc) distance and intimacy *can* actually work together. As someone who wishes I could play the piano a lot better than I actually can, I have strong feelings about this! I feel like Dan would really, really want a grand piano for the aesthetics, but would probably settle for a mini grand. But I also think he might see that as too much of a commitment since they are expensive, and also can require a huge amount of upkeep and people coming into your house to tune, etc. I think I would recommend for him to get a digital grand so it could look cool, but be lower maintenance and less expensive in case he drifts away from playing again. Probably something like This or This.

ahah i’m literally sat on my piano writing this but i totally see also dan really wanting a grand acoustic piano but then the knowledge that someone would have to come to his house occasionally to tune it would scare his introverted being.

also you do have to have a lot of space to have a grand piano, though i’m imagining that their next house is probably going to be huge... i do feel like if dan had a grand acoustic piano he would be one of those snobs talking about never being able to play in a digital piano again and i wouldn’t like that look on him lmao. but honestly have no clue, i wouldn’t be surprised to see him with a new classical grand or mini grand piano, digital or acoustic.

I've looked at it more carefully and that makes a lot of sense, the grey wall, then darkness of the doorway and then the white wall of the living room area. I think what was throwing me was the wood... but it matches the wood of the like island/attached kitchen table thing that is there. So it being a smaller more portable keyboard set up in the limbo flat seems like it's the case!

Under this assumption, I wouldn't be surprised if Dan has kept the white piano and will move it to the house. It always seemed like he liked it, and it very much suits his interior design taste, so unless they really try to change it up it will probably fit in well. Honestly, idk if I see them going for a mini-grand or anything like that, even if the house is big I just don't get the feeling that the piano is enough of an important thing for them that they would want it to take up so much space and also be kind of a central thing in a room. But idk, we'll see (or not lol)
