hmm. i always thought that the 'headboard' was actually their old sofa in the filming flat, with a dark/purple-ish filter put over it to make it look like nighttime. the deer bedding is a bit of a mystery though. and i think they have plenty of their personal odds and ends on shelves/side tables in their main living room.

I think I’m the only one who doesn’t think it’s the sofa. I remember this topic last time and I think it’s too structured to be pillows or a sofa. It’s possible they have a bed in the other main room. A double could fit that they wanted to use if friends or family stayed over. With the things that’s in there now I don’t know if anyone would use it as a main sleeping area. Would they ask friends or family to sleep in a completely different apartment aka AP old bedroom ? I would say no but ??

I thought they might have used it as a guest bedroom when they moved in and then they just got lazy and moved filming stuff into the room to make it into an office. They probably shoved the bed on the other side of the wall for guests - kind of like the setup they had in their old flat.

anorher possibility is maybe that is Phil’s room and that headboard/bedding is his. We’ve never actually seen that whole room so this is all speculation but those would be my guesses.

I also think it’s a headboard and that it was a guest bed in their living space (where folks like PJ and Sophie stayed the night), but not necessarily at the time that brief clip was filmed. However I imagine a lot of things got shifted around when the gaming channel went on hiatus and Dan stopped being a full time YouTuber, at the beginning of 2019. This is when Phil got his new background (because no more pinof) and took over the dinof filming space. The dinof furniture got moved to the second bedroom, where Phil has been streaming from and doing merch photoshoots (as we have seen) and I think this is what they refer to as the office. And I fear that the guest bed got moved to the abandoned gaming room and that’s where the clip was filmed as it was after Phil switched his background. RIP Dan and Phil Games

Was just thinking about the fact that Dan straight up said “Obviously, we were more than friends” and “our relationship was more than just romantic” yet one year later a part of my brain is still like “hmmm maybe they really are just friends...or *plot twist* exes.” My brain can’t compute this reality. (Just to make it clear I don’t think Dan and Phil should feel obligated to share any information about their relationship)

I absolutely loved the quiz. I got almost all Phil related qs right, which felt good for my phillie pride. And it left me feeling so happy.

Now, about the living space, I totally thought this was happening on the gaming room, which apparently is 100% off, but something I don't get: if this happened upstairs, why did dan go back upstairs after getting the door?
maybe i'm just deaf, that can also be possible. But I could swear it felt like he was going upstairs.

He was! The living flat has 2 floors - the office/second bedroom/livestream space is on the bottom floor along with their bedroom. Everything else is upstairs and you can see the top of the staircase often when we get shots from their lounge.

I have this exact thought on an almost daily basis. That quote still shakes me to my core.

And then you get shit like Phil's little smirk when Dan screams he's gonna sue him in a quiz show and that's how you just know they're in it for life....

I just rewatched the quiz and somehow the first time around it didn’t fully compute that this Ciarán/Kieran guy from Q was actually in the room with Phil, but he definitely is as Phil talks in a specific direction (opposite from where Dan came in) and points at the same spot when he thanks him at the end. Mike and Dan must have been together upstairs in the lounge. It makes sense that their manager would be there, but I guess I just didn’t realize what an official deal this was.

I’m actually still floored that Dan was fully engaging. I agree he threw that question. Eggie deserved the spotlight and Dan loosing made for great shit posts. Phil trash number what? To be fair Phil probably announced to Dan how many socks he had, if Dan wasn’t in the room at the time or helping with the actual counting. So he might have seen it as an unfair question since it’s possibly the only one he knew was on there ahead of time (as unlikely as that may seem to some of us).

I wondered about Mike being there as soon as Phil mentioned him because I’d had the impression that this was tied to IRL since it was through Phil’s merch shop but having the switch be part of the giveaway and having his manager there made it seem like there’s more to this quiz than we know about.

I always thought the moon room was upstairs, in the living flat, so maybe that confused me as well?
I don't know, I accepted this theory a month ago after saying fuck it and lurking around here and going all FBI on videos decided it was the only logical explanation.

I really hope we get a video soon. Seeing Phil yesterday made me miss him more if that makes sense.

It may be that Mike wasn't physically present but maybe orchestrated it? Like set Phil up with the company to do the quiz and all that.

The software they used for the quiz is a whitelabeled quiz software that anyone can use, and a lot of VERY big names use (wayyyy bigger than DNP) - I suspect they bought the quiz software so they could be in control of the pipeline now that they're free of younow.

Usually I would say “it’s not that deep” BUT it’s true that he’s been uncharacteristically active lately. Firstly the ig post, then his voice present on Phil’s pigeon vid and the livestream and he’s tweeting semi-regularly.. I am suspicious. I do wonder if he’s about to drop his project, especially considering he was supposed to release it on October last year. Maybe he’s gonna do that ~ this year? Or maybe even sooner idk, I can never tell with him. But also I am curious to see if Phil’s gonna keep being active too now that the live quiz is done. If so, I’d start being reaaallly suspicious about him too.

Is this the original project? I got the impression from the October post that whatever that project was didn’t happen and that the project he was going to release this spring was different.
Regardless I’m not sold on his project yet and it’s mainly because we’ve seen him be active for days at a time before but something to think about is that dan and phil have alternated being active every day for a week now so if it does continue then like others have said I’ll start to get suspicious

Yeah - this is what they used, as per the url, and Phil it seems like brought on either a person associated with the quiz software company for additional help or they found their own independent ~expert and enlisted them. I do think this certainly seemed like a test run for something else.

I do also feel like the quiz had more of a professional vibe in a way. While it was very much fandom focused, with many Phil-themed questions and it only being announced on twitter and instagram, the use of the specific software, and the fact that Phil had someone (not just dan or a friend, but like a business person) there helping him run things, doing scene changes/ showing images etc. gave it a different feel. The closest comparison might be the radio show, where there were other background production people, but deppy (or more dan) were still running the deck live themselves for most things.

It remains to be seen what happens, but because he didn't mention it being a regular thing it does also leave questions as to why. I mean try new things, but also there very well might be more to it. I can't remember if it was on here or somewhere else but I saw someone mention how it kind of suited being a trial run/audition tape kind of thing? It's been on my mind recently that Phil could try doing a gig as some sort of gameshow host and I feel like having something like this liveshow under his belt would be a good thing for that. I have no idea how getting into things like that in a traditional media setting work, but I could see having reference pieces as part of a resume/pitch type of thing helpful.

Also while most of the questions were explicitly Phil-themed, and the rest were very Phil-esque (animals, memes, funny random shit, TV and movie references, etc) I do think they go to show that Phil could do something with those kinds of questions and themes that could appeal to a wider audience than just our phillie asses.

Idk. We'll see. I'm still holding onto my ultimate dream for Phil to write some sort of fun, space adventure with queer characters and humor that is enjoyable to a wide age of audience as like and animated series or something but I'll be curious and excited to see whatever happens. Go for it Phil.

I'm not shocked, but it's also interesting after discussions in the past about who of their friends/acquaintances knew about deppy. I think this prob confirms that they kept the circle of people knowing very small (not that they are super close to tyler, but if they didn't tell him then they prob only told very close friends)
