Loved Phil's new video! Stressed me out to no end but it was fun to watch! And somehow my favourite part of it was finally seeing the bottom half of that muscle apron lol. I guess just being able to compare when we first saw it to now is just nice :') Feels good :')

That was fricking hilarious. I was a bit sad for things that didn’t work so well, tie-dyeing in different buckets with string on the tshirt might work better, but he was so funny. Overprotective parents or an overenthusiastic messy child, who really knows. The mars bar looked amazing, shame the marshmallow didn’t work, I had high hopes for that. I was surprised he put the whole stack of crisps in his mouth, he doesn’t have that big a gob, but he managed, and very crunchy. Maybe his mic wouldn’t pick up the actual crunch, but I don’t really love that harsh crunch sound effect. And omg the apron. Dan was adamant we couldn’t see the bottom half of it in the Easter nests video and now here we are just flashing that guy’s speedos. How times have changed.

If dnp purchased the flat they currently rent, would that satisfy the residents of moving hill? I’m curious. I actually have quite fond feelings about their flat now—the moon room and the lounge with the windows especially. Probably because of WITL content and all their domestic nonsense filmed there.

I can't really imagine that because they talked about the house not being permanent, but i woudn't mind. I've thought about it before, it would also solve the dog problem because from what I remember it's not the complex that doesn't allow dogs but just the landlord.

I don't think they would though because a lot of people already know the address, so I think the moment they decide they're ready to buy they'll keep it off the internet as much as they can

now I'm not too familiar, but I thought in the UK if you purchase a home it's public information as well as how much you purchased it for? so wouldn't their address unfortunately likely get leaked regardless of where they live?

I thought that you can get information about owners of a certain property and the amount of money they've payed for it only if you know the address.

Yup, you can pay to get the information from land registry but you're right that you do need to know the address.

I enjoy these videos but I also feel like some of these segments could've made for an excellent seperate video and that's a shame because now it feels a bit rushed. I could watch an entire video of phil tie dyeing shit. Starts with a t-shirt, end with every piece of fabric in the house. And I'd watch an entire video of him deep frying random foods as well. Deep fry those Pringles. Deep fry Norman. Deep fry Dan. Basically I just want more Phil doing dumb shit.

I also hope he ate a nice fresh salad for dinner that day. not like that

Anyway, the video was lovely and made me happy. He's truly a light in the darkest of times.

I was terrified the whole time with the deep fryer, especially as he had a candle 10 cm away. One splatter and that could go wrong in so many ways. But no, he was more worried about the oven he doesn't use

Phil reblogged a gifset from a tumblr user with the url 'danrifics' (it's a joke url) and people on twitter were talking about it (because they didn't know it was a joke url) and it made me wonder... there were people who genuinely thought Dan and Cat were flirting/might have been a thing, and at that point (like 2012-2013) I do get it.

For you old timers, were there things like that that you thought had validity? Any of the rumors of Dan dating other youtubers, the whole Phil's secret wife, people who would claim to spot them with a girl, even Dan and Phil's own inconsistencies. What things really struck you before we can context that don't bother you anymore now knowing what we know?

Genuinely believed that phil and alyssa had something that went on between them, which is why dan reacted the way he did in that one liveshow moment- “who’s alyssa.” But now knowing that phil is gay and has known he was gay since he was 12 I know that it was actually nothing

I didn't really remember believing any of it being true tbh but I was keeping an eye on what rumours I spotted. I wasn't really active in the fandom, so barely had any discussions on it, I just watched their videos. A lot of them I've had to catch up with
However, I did think Cat was fancied Phil more than Dan around that time too

Before I truly looked into the timeline of 2009, I thought there was legitimacy to their claim that they had gotten to know each other through a mutual friend. But I never believed any of the rumors about Dan and Cat. Frankly I was confused by those because he barely seemed to enjoy her company as her friend but mkay.

I saw on Twitter that Phil's video made it to the trending page? Good for him. Haven't seen many nasty comments yet but views are looking good.

Can't really say joining in 2014 when I did qualifies for the old timer phannie card, but I will say I've always found danrific amusing as a ship because it always seemed to come across to me like Cat and Phil were always much better friends and Dan just kind of...tolerated Cat because of hers and Phil's friendship.

And given stuff Cat has said in the past, how much more vocal Dan is about not wanting to be in the company of people who don't share his beliefs (tho, I would say one person in particular doesn't fit that bill), and recent weird controversies between them, I feel like of Cat and Dan are left alone together without Phil there to make conversation/buffer...I literally have no idea how they would get on lol. I can only picture awkward silence.

I never believed there was anything going on between Cat and Dan at all, I did feel like she would kinda exclude Phil a bit in the videos but I thought it was because Dan was more popular and she was trying to piggyback off that. I feel like a lot of the collaborations they've done have been similar in favouring Dan a classic example of it for me is Louise.

Dan and Louise really do have a hysterical dynamic between them (see their one-on-one collabs), so I think there is just more comfort/chemistry there.
