Haven't posted much here but just came by to say I definitely wasn't expecting this kind of video and it's ridiculously endearing that they made so much effort just to help a wild pigeon!

& sharing my excitement that the vets they went to is my dog's vet! Haha. They are a lovely bunch over there.

What a lovely and brilliant video! Definitely an interesting story to come out of the pandemic

I can't watch until after work, but seeing the tweet notification with the video title made me laugh out loud. This is why he's been quiet for a few weeks -- he's fully been plotting a pigeon capture. Looking forward to watching.

When I saw the title I was fully imagining a chaotic Benny Hill-style chase around the balcony with Phil in giant rubber gloves or something but they actually did such a great job getting Steve to the vet!! Like the plant tour I was expecting Dan to be silent cameraman again, so I was delighted when he was both mentioned *and* actually spoke.

1) they showed their neighborhood
2) they showed a lot of their house
3) phil said he needed to "ween" steve off of the seed...

i was thinking the exact same thing! like so much of the apartment! also a bit more dan, not sure if that would have anything to do with them moving but he's slowly been appearing a bit more on twitter and phil's videos. definitely on the conspiracy path, but it's fun to hope

*serotonin intensifies* Phil's content has been pretty A+ this past year in general, but this is an absolute highlight.

First things first. Phil (and Dan since he deserves his production assistance credit for this one) is really the kind of person who is so kindhearted that'd he go out of his way in order to catch so that he can save a feral pigeon that he technically has no responsibility for. Also props to the vet for taking the feral pigeon in, I know that a lot of clinics wouldn't. It makes me so happy that I stan these good human beings.

Loved the little glimpses of not only Dan's voice (oh how I've missed that laugh), but also his physical form. Turns out he still has one! I thought that at this point Phil had invested in a hologram that can film on an iPhone and mimic Dan's voice. But I don't think a hologram can have a foot fetish like Dan clearly does. I definitely noticed how relaxed they seemed about filming the flat and neighborhood. We've seen shots of the flat before in skits and Instastories of course, but this felt different. My mind can't help but wander back to the chaise longue I still have planted somewhere on Moving Hill.

Anyway I'm so glad Steve is okay and I'm even happier that we got good content out of it

Not timestamps exactly because I didn't have that much time available but I still couldn't help but make a list of everything I loved in the video.

- Phil listing off Steve's attributes in the start of the video like he's making a pigeon dating profile.
- Phil working in the lecture advice for social distancing.
- Phil being so emotionally attached to Steve that it was instantly and inarguably his responsibility to help Steve since Steve couldn't help himself.
- Phil!! On phone calls!! Sounding all adult and responsible and using a Business Casual phone voice!
- Dan zooming in on Phil's feet while Phil is business casualling it up.
- Pink lights in their flat. I'm guessing they do color changing bulbs.
- Phil being consistently very worried about Steve not liking him.
- The plushies on their board game shelf.
- SCRAGGY.
- Phil taking on the added responsibility of wanting to respect Steve and Scraggy's relationship.
- The pride in Phil's voice when Steve won't let Phil close the door. "He's too clever!" Proud dad.
- The fact that Phil tried to do as much as he possibly could through email to avoid phone calls. I *feel.*
- The fingers crossed gesture/face he makes at Dan when he's on the phone.
- Phil's gay socks.
- Them using a phone charger in place of any kind of actual cord or string.
- Dan!! Words!! Dan says words!! Dan has a voice!! In conclusion: Dan.
- 10/10 shots of Phil walking.
- Dan in the lift wearing a mask and also sunglasses. I mean, we can see his hair at least.
- "Dan had to stop me walking pigeon first into an old woman."
- More social distancing advice. Good good good.
- Phil's logic that a short voicemail is good news.
- Phil's face journey finding out that Steve is okay but lost a toe but that's alright.
- "We don't even give him bread."
- Once he's sure Steve was okay his anxiety of Steve not liking him anymore came back full force.
- Steve/Scraggy nesting happiness. Good for them.

what a video. made my heart so full. it makes me so happy to see Phil and how just absolutely caring he is. also that comment about medical professionals and social distancing-love him to death. so so much to comment on i don't even know where to start!
1. glamor shots, lately I've been so aboard the phillie train it's insane. he's so grown and oh my god is he beautiful.
2. neighborhood! apartment! this definitely wasn't a moving video like i had somewhat maybe thought it was... but damn it was pretty close with how much we've seen. if i wasn't convinced seeing them move was coming in the near future, i am now.
3. dan!!!! face and voice and everything! I've been on the dan hair watch for a bit, and wow did that hit nice. he's been quite on twitter for the past week or so, but i've noticed that he's been slowly becoming a lot more active (at least in terms of the last few months)-maybe an announcement soon? maybe we'd see more of him if they move? a pipe dream of course, but it was a nice little bit of nostalgia as i dropped off the deppie train for a good year, so seeing new almost ~joint content~ was soo good.
4. more appreciation for Phil. this was such a good, wholesome video for how things have been going lately. it truly covered all the bases-glasses, apartment, dan, feet... maybe not feet. but there sure were a lot of feet.

anyways, going to rewatch this video solely for every shot of Phil. i just can't get over how much i love seeing him really into the content he's producing now. it feels like he's made a new connection with his audience, and especially seeing him go from a ~no swearing there are children watching~ channel to openly being himself has been really awesome for someone who was like 14 when i started watching their videos to now being in my 20s, it makes me feel a little bit more comfortable enjoying their content (as wacky as that sounds, absolutely no shade to anyone younger or open about it if they're older). it feels like he's more open to his audience growing with him and i will never shut up about this.

I loved the video! I’m so glad Phil (and dan) are so caring, I can’t help but feel attached to Steve now too lol. I love all the shots of him on the phone or just sitting around. I’ve always hoped for more vloggy videos but I don’t really expect them, so this was such a pleasant surprise!

I just need to accept that I will never understand the setup of their apartment. The more I see of it the more confused I am. My spatial intelligence truly takes a hit every time I see glimpses of their lounge lol.

Anyway, I've been watching soooo much of another youtube duo lately and had a moment where I really questioned if Phil was being dethroned as my favorite youtuber. Lol nah, nothing brings me the kind of joy that watching an amazingphil video brings. Phil really is such a special soul that I just resonate so much with. And the more multifaceted his online persona becomes the more I adore him.

Bless Dan for the variety of gratuitous shots of Phil's beauty. Not just any cameraman would have the eye for it and for that I am forever in Dan's debt (lmao jk I've given so much money in exchange for his merch but I appreciate the shots of Phil all the same).

I'm so curious about the blanket that gets thrown on Phil. Has it made an appearance before? Does anyone know where it's from? To me, it almost even looked like a Bryony original made from the amazingphil bedsheets of yore.

I also love the video and Phil’s adorableness in the whole process. Dan’s too, and his hair looks good. The method they went with of slowly luring him with the seed was a good one, it’s how you’d catch a stray cat too, though they can also be too darn clever. I think everything’s been said and I was liking everyone’s post on the previous page and then stopped cos there was a whole other page still, lovely to read everyone’s thoughts. I only have one more - Phil in those shorts. Yaas

I have SO MANY positive feelings re: Phil's new video, but the one thing that comes immediately to mind is: haircut? Haircut! Which means.... Dan also haircut? AH.

I loved everything about the video it was so Phil and it was so good hearing Dan again. I'm fully camped out on moving hill after him talking about weaning Steve off of bird seed.

I was confused about this for so long but I finally understand how the lounge works after this video. Being a very specially-minded person it has always frustrated me to not be able to put that space together but I did it! It puts me at ease. I don't really want to post it since, while I just like to understand it to calm my 3D brain, it could enable stalker-y behavior that we do not stan but if you pm me I can show you my messy sketch lol.

Does make me want to join y'all up on moving hill though, with how much they've shown of that flat now. They're still careful about the kitchen but other than that they've shown a LOT. I had thought they would consider moving a long time ago once Phil changed his background to something that could be easily set up in a lot of places and not have to deal with the lack of a 'Phil room' if they moved. It would make a lot of sense seeing as they don't seem to use the filming flat much at all except for Phil's videos and I can't imagine paying 2 rents is ideal. It's a shame though since they really seem to like their current flat and it's a really nice place.

Okay. Moving hill theorists, are you ready? Here's my offering to the cause.

Phil made it seem like the Steve issue was a recent situation, but he responded to the twitter user on June 25th.
Last week he said he needed to film one more bit (I'm guessing the sit down part). but that still makes for a month between when he found out about Steve's foot and when he started editing the video. We do know the vet appointment was on a Wednesday from the phone call. He said he had 'one more part' to film last Tuesday. That means the earliest Steve's vet appointment could have been was July 22, and all of the vloggy bits would have been filmed and finished by that day, so two weeks ago.

If he's not fibbing about the nine day process (he writes out nine but then refers to it as a 'couple of weeks' in the video) then it was probably even earlier than that, either the 8th or the 15th.

Either Phil just took his time and took 2+ weeks to edit one video which he already had most of the shots for (which, lbr, it's Phil, this is valid and logical, but also we here on Moving Hill reject your reality and replace our own, so *raspberries*) or this was a clever placeholder to buy them time TO MOOOOOOOVE.

These last two posts have me always here for Phil’s butt and legs, and those long shorts have always been a good look (on Dan too, and the below-knee ones they used to wear), though objectifying what And of course we can find an acronym for Dan’s favourite word
