When I saw they released the song and video, I was so nervous that they would be cringe, especially since I cringed at the show and watching the movie and doc. But like someone else said earlier (I apologize for not going back and finding the post) watching the music video actually caused me to lose the cringe. I have no idea why. Maybe because there wasn't an audience shrieking in delight? I have no idea. Must say it was nice to actually hear the lyrics too for a change.

They were absolutely adorable adorkable making it and I love that it's their contribution to SUFC. I think they sing quite well. (They're not going to make a living out of it, but hey not that many people can)

After the music video, I actually had my first, legit, "I'm so proud of them!!" feelings. I didn't even have that at tatinof. But they got to me! And my money

As a kind of followup to my compilation of Dan and Phil touching each other’s faces, here’s a compilation of Phil touching Dan’s face with various objects (and a few examples of Dan doing it to Phil).

I think it’s such a cute habit of Phil’s and in some instances (definitely not always, but sometimes) it seems to function as a kind of kiss-by-proxy… like he has the object kiss Dan’s face instead of doing it himself (in some cases quite overtly, like with the skull lol).

Some random observations:

• It’s kind of interesting to me how often Phil does it compared to Dan. Even in the examples I could think of where Dan does do it, it's often kind of different in one way or another from how Phil does it.
• Dan’s most frequent response is to say “Thank you.”
• Once again we have examples of Phil being kind of rough with Dan, basically attacking his face with all manner of different objects, and Dan obviously trusting him enough that he doesn’t even blink half the time.

Speaking of the kiss-by-proxy thing, I also threw together this small compilation of them ordering each other to kiss/blow into/hug/touch various objects. I’m sure there are other similar instances; these are just the ones I could think of off the top of my head. (I also feel like there are some interesting conclusions that could be drawn about their power dynamic from these examples, but I'm not sure what it would be lol.)

Though Dan does end up licking the Wall-e, so idk what I'm talking about really lol.)
