Please, for the love of our Google overlords, please let there be more Golf With Friends in the near future. Those videos are on par with the baking videos for me in terms of rewatchability, chillness and fondness, and the fact that they exist, but there's only two, is bittersweet.

I saw "a theory" on Tumblr last night and thought it was a bit silly for like the conspiracy they were making it out to be, but fine as just a passing thought: that 'Higher or Lower' was not the game Dan had hyped and that perhaps something happened with that and they had to churn out and edit this one, hence it being late.

You go away for a bit and so much stuff happens! I loved the Anthony collab quite a lot, also loved the Pride tweets. The "Higher or Lower" video was okay. I liked the bants and Phil was great in it but I found the game boring. I'd also like to see them play more indie games or just generally more two-player games like Keep Talking or Golf with Friends. I don't mind them throwing in a flash game now and then though, some of them are really fun, like Geoguessr.

I think it probably was the video he was hyping, as it definitely wasn't one that they filmed at the last minute - Dan mentioned that one of their next videos would have multiple mentions of Hitler after the most recent Mario Kart vid, so it must have been filmed a while ago:

Anthony is asked if there are youtubers that inspire him and he says that he's been watching Dan a lot. Oh how the tables have turned!

Anthony also liked this fanart (that he was not tagged in), which definitely not had me laughing out loud in the park where i was supposed to be studying for exams: (in general there's been so much amazing and funny fanart about this video, gosh, that's one of the things I love the most about this fandom: just SO. MUCH. good content.)

That is a pretty interesting interview with Anthony. I watched half of it earlier and plan to come back to it. The spice has arisen and gave some reasoning which I had suspected. One he has no vested interest in Anthony (though I did give him some back story before watching) two Dan's self deprecating schtick is too much for him, three it wasn't with Phil. "#philforever", "better together" and all that, but seriously he doesn't like Dan's collabs with other people. He literally gets jealous on Phil's behalf. It's kinda adorable. I shared the fanart tweet with him and he said they both better be careful. Lol.

I love Beeken's art but am bummed it's not on their Tumblr yet.

You and pilotlight both have adorkable spices though. I tried pushing Dan and Phil on a friend once, he gave me such a confused and disinterested look when I asked if he watched any youtube vloggers that I just aborted the mission and watched their new vid on my own. My friends aren't exactly the kind of people i can share my obsession with
It's funny, I'm so used to Dan's antics that I forget how intense some scenes could look to people who aren't level 7 church of scientology members fans. Sometimes I forget how Dan's (feigned) misanthropy really is only understood and known within the niche of internet counterculture. I mean is your husband some fucking Normie or sumthink
A couple of weeks back I was daydreaming of something gloomy Dan said (I know, I need a boyfriend) when a coworker suggested organizing a meeting and I just blurted out "BAH then I'll have to be social again" in typical Dan fashion. That was a hard one to joke my way out of.

I just wouldn't work with their content. It's dialogue heavy so they'd have to be quiet for a lot of it or end up talking over the plot which won't be entertaining for non-gamers who watch purely for banter. It's fully voice acted so they can't even be inventive with their own voice overs (Undertale & Horse Prince). It's gameplay is also very stringent in where you go and when so no messing around or exploring (Yandere Simulator & Who's Your Daddy). I just don't see it working out.

i never thought about it this way, but i see your point that the voice acting and stringent plot might make not work out so well with their usual gameplay, it'd definitely be a challenge and they'd have to tackle it somewhat differently. however, i could still see them doing it in somewhat similar fashion to jacksepticeye's playthrough, i.e. being calm and listening while the story unfolds, bant and probably scream while you're walking around and nothing heavy is happening, then do a recap/conclusion at the end of the episode. but maybe that really wouldn't be appealing to the mysterious creature that is the casual viewer. (seriously, there must be so many of these, and i just want to know how they're feeling about deppy videos. i forgot what it's like to be this person.)

but oh well, it doesn't seem probable that this ever happens in any case. although, maybe in true "you guys have been demanding this for YEARS and now we'll give the people what you want ARE YOU HAPPY" fashion...? some day?

tl;dr i'm desperate for a new series that i can get emotionally invested in while i watch them being emotionally invested. *that one sound effect* invest-ception in slightly related news, i really hope they move the focus of the sims series to the next gen soon because while i still enjoy it i'm getting a bit tired of dil like...i understand he's your son but...just let him go to work in peace and focus on the other characters in the meantime...i'd even watch a tabitha-related work episode or something. i also hope the next one will really be the house renovation...please.

Nah. He paints his nails, dyes his beard purple/pink and has a unicorn colored gaming keyboard. So not a Normie per se, but definitely not part of that deep, dark, dank internet counterculture. But then again neither am I. One thing we agree on is how much we hate Dan's current favorite jumper. So that's something.

+1 from me too! That beige/black AllSaints jumper (that is the one we're taking about yes?) is not so good...funny to think it came from the same shop as my favourite Dan clothing item, the wonderful sakura shirt!

I feel like I'm in the minority of people who like the jumper maybe because it's because I too have a favourite jumper that I can wear like 3 times a week. I also have an outfit that is eerily similar to That One Outfit - I have a jacket that is cut almost exactly the same, I love it.

At this point I'd take anything. I played The Stanley Parable today and I'd like to see them give that a go. ESPECIALLY Dan. I'd love a Portal 2 playthrough. I just want something with emotion/story.

Speaking of DAPG, I just finished watching the last video. I saved it to watch with dinner and I got a migraine and fell asleep for 2 hours so late dinner, late video watching.

I didn't really like it. I genuinely don't think I laughed, but that could be because I'm grumpy because I knew I was going to get a migraine today. Maybe I'm projecting onto Dan (honestly this needs to go into my signature, all opinions expressed about Dan are from me projecting onto him) but I think he'd rather they not be doing constant Google games. Definitely more Phil's thing.
