When I had laryngitis in February, I had to volunteer somewhere and could not direct people where they were supposed to go at all. So I can relate to this story from Phil about being unable to communicate. What a cutie though. I can't believe Dan made him talk to the guy at Wimbledon.

You know, sometimes I think Phil is so skinny and cute that I can't believe how tall he is.

Then I watch him talk and I really focus and holy f- his shoulders are so broad. SO. Broad. I'm such Phil trash excuse me.

Omg I was so happy and surprised to see him, and I! Loved! This! Liveshow! Phil is so adorkable. His voice was equal parts squeaky and sexy, haha. I laughed out loud multiple times.
Mmm those backpacks. I'm torn between getting the black nebula adventure or the pastel cloud dream (I'd cover up that lettering though) and I might even get the pastel plushies after all because the idea of having a little curly!dan plushie is just too cute. Phil you have well and truly brainwashed me.

Liveshow thoughts:

Dan made him talk to the "red trouser man" even though he couldn't speak... bc of course
"Did I do my face?" He was very concerned about having the appropriate face angle for TV, and no derping or looking at his phone. Dunno why but this made me so fond
Though he supported Federer, he thought crying Čilić was really sad. King Of Empathy
"Thanks for spreading some pre-hype!" other people mentioned this, but this was such a lovely, positive, lowkey way to acknowledge it! I love Phil!
Love how he named the "pastel blue cloud bag" while Dan named the "black glitter nebula bag", because they are what would happen if Dan and Phil turned into bags, apparently
Literally this was just a liveshow to promo everything (bags, newsletter, plushies)... maybe Martyn put him up to doing one today
No cologne at the moment, because he only buys them at airports, but since he's been late he hasn't had time to sniff them, also he calls it aftershave because he's not snobby... nice

I can’t wait for the next gaming vid.

For some reason I wasn’t expecting another Phil and Anthony collab, so I’m excited about it and wondering what that will look like. Sounds like I will find out tomorrow.

I thought the little tidbit about him buying colognes and aftershaves at airports was interesting. Makes me wonder if Dan helps him pick out a scent since they usually fly together

Does "fruit" not have the connotation in the UK it does in the US? I was surprised to hear someone call him a fruit and Phil reply that he was a fruit. I guess it is a more old-fashioned slur that people might not be aware of. I had only learned of it when my dad told a rather off-color joke that ended with "It's better to be a fruit than a vegetable." Is it not a really a thing anymore kind of like queer to a certain extent?

Yes you can see my reaction to him saying that above! I was like "wait not only did he agree with the person who called him a fruit, but he then restated it clearly???"

In my (limited) knowledge of UK slang, fruit does in fact carry the same connotation, but yeah typically it's used by older generations, and often in a negative way (though it has been reclaimed a bit according to the internet). But that's where my mind immediately went, although Phil's brain might not have.

Edit: Wikipedia says "Fruit as gay slang or slur is amongst the lexicon of the cant slang Polari used in the gay subculture in Britain which has become more mainstream with transcontinental travel and online communication."

Basically, I think if they were to do a coming out documentary, even if it was strictly edutainment, I think it would be because they needed full control over their relationship for whatever reason. Can't get outed if you out yourself? Thats a very d&p thing to do.

What I would like to see, and I HOPE they are doing/Dan makes a video on is the effect of YouTube on interpersonal relationships and mental health of creators. (I'd love to do a MA dissertation on this but getting access to any YouTubers that are big enough for this to impact would be nigh on impossible, even with confidentiality clauses). See I want to know what happened to them in 2012, not in the sense of #PhanProof but in the sense that I want to know what its like on the other side? I've been publicly shit on by fandoms (I got read out on Radio One by Daniel P. Carter, the MCRmy didn't like what I said, I got death threats, people tried to doxx me, it was horrendous) and its hard enough when its one day of your life. Never mind every day, and never mind being one of the most private parts of your life.

I want them to talk about this. I want them to tackle something serious. I can't see them doing a documentary on their relationship specifically, but I can see them doing a documentary on fandoms.

In October they get a confirmation that they're going to work on a documentary about shipping. Online phenomena, and Phan is a ship that refuses to set sail. Lets assume they are together for this, they are exploring at what point the 'evidence' becomes undeniable and a relationship and sexuality is viewed as authentic without an explicit confirmation as such.

So they start hinting, we have the baking video, and this is them seeing how much sexual tension they can get away with displaying. Dan talks more and more about sexuality, they have the flirtingbants at the start of the Bombs video, they are more comfortable touching each other. Then August happens and we realise its been a social experiment and they're like 'psych' until the last scene of the documentary where they show a 'gag' reel of all the things that haven't made the cut since October and one of them is them kissing, and we realise they are trolls, but geniuses too.

lbr, i'm still totally down for it being t-minus 2 weeks until #phanwedding and Dan is desperately trying to nurse Phil back to health so he has a voice for their big day, which is why they're not even attempting to film a gaming video

I mean I should really be asking for a discount after all that pre- hype, I didn't watch the show but Kathryn rang me and played it to me down the phone, safe to say we were a bit excited lol can't believe it got a mention!

Thanks to everyone last night looking out for me, I got very upset (massive anxiety/panic attack) but Kathryn was reading me all the comments and tweets so thanks again to everyone

He was all bouncy again, penny finally dropped in my brain that he's been more cheerful in liveshows for the same time Dan has, I realised straight away that with Dan it was probably due to the new apartment. Storage and not being stalked must be a good feeling.

He was so cute smiling and blushing at the end when he admitted it hadn't taken him years to come up with that game. I waited minutes to type into the chat how funny it was that he's a cheeky troll and the chat finally freed up as he was saying goodbye, and he read out my name. I felt blessed, I do my best to time when I type to when they're actually looking at the chat, but it's so zoomy.

Can't believe Dan still made Phil do the talking when he'd lost his voice, it's like with catching the bugs, poor love.

I'm intrigued how they're going to do curly hair on plushie Dan, good they both saw the requests for no wigs. Interesting how much they do see in the chat and on Twitter. Even wirrow suggested just doing separate outfits. Be tricky to dress them in clothes over the sleeves on them already, perhaps, but otherwise the clothes are flush with their bodies. They're not bad quality, btw, even if mine did come a bit unravelled (one hem was a bit loose just like my own cheap trousers as soon as I buy them, and Dan's hand had split. I sewed him up, sent the shop photos and they gave me £5 off). I can see myself buying them again, I guess they can sit in a different room so they don't all stare at me.

Terrible news about Chester Bennington. I've heard of the band, but none of their music, still I've been down badly enough to know the feelings well, it's obviously pretty awful to get that far.
