nothing new to add, but hi to the IDB family reunion!!


I’m so proud of them.

In true old idb fashion I had to go have a look at the company they're partnering (?) with to produce the podcast, studio71 - because I knew I had read that name somewhere. Had a look at all their podcasts and it's A LOT. Like so many. Lots of them I've followed for a long team and didn't realize they were all involved with the same studio.

I'm now hoping for a day where they will do an episode with Trixie and Katia. I want to see Phil attempt drag makeup and not poke his eyes. A girl can dream.

I was taking a look at that earlier today! For some reason when they said they were doing a podcast, I hadn't realized that they meant an actual, professionally produced podcast. I was just imagining the Stereo Shows with fewer issues lmao.

Does this mean that they're in it for the semi-long haul? I was honestly expecting 10-20 episodes, but if they're working with a real studio I might get my hopes up for 30+

I am so excited for the phodcast this Monday (though it'll be Mond y afternoon for the actual podcast and 1 am for the video). But well, I'm in the Deppy trash and sleep can wait. Glad to see a lot of people coming back. We will have loads to talk about every week.

Also, as a non-techie grandma, how do you do the thank you for this post thing?

Their channel has hit 3 million subscribers! And the video hit 3 million views as well, in just four days or so, damn...

Phil shared links where you can listen to a small snippet of the first podcast episode, for me the youtube link just took me to the channel. I'm wondering if they already have recorded a bunch of episodes beforehand or if they have a recording schedule as well. And indeed, was the first episode recorded after the video was released, so they would be able to talk about the reactions to it.

If I still lived in Manila, I would have definitely gone. But I'm now residing at a province which is a plane ride away from Manila. But if they ever do a show there again, I'll definitely buy a ticket and see them. Although of course, they lost money during the II tour here, so I don't think they will ever come back here. I'll just treasure my II memories.

They really heard that there were no up to date red carpet pictures of them and said oh we gotta change that.

I can’t believe we live in a post hard launch era where they go out DAYS after and pose glued to each others side. It makes me so happy

As a kpop fan who does do meet ups I have to say I am mourning the lack of dnp fans in my vacinity. The only 2 people that i knew irl as fellow phandom memebers went to live abroad... I am sad.

Anyone else just like NOT okay this week? In a good way but like I am a grown up person with a grown up job and I am way too distracted. Like I feel unhinged in a way I haven’t since BIG?

Thank god my spouse is also a phannie because otherwise this would be hopeless

Oh 100%. I'm even excited for my morning commute because the podcast will be out, and I am NEVER excited for mornings lol.

can't believe i've been so gaslighted by them for a decade that i couldn't believe this morning that they sleep in the same bed. like i heard that whole story and was like what do you mean he was next to you in the middle of the night.

i hope the podcast gets longer - 35 minutes is short for a podcast! also interested to see what structure they end up with. i enjoyed this episode but it is definitely a first episode with lots of room for growth. i hope it works out, i love podcasts and d&p but they do need some structure.

I need a lot more content to be able to digest the news, that's what I've realised. Reading the news articles was a way to do it, but if it doesn't come from them it's not as interesting (but kudos to those news agencies who actually took the time to watch the video and add positive notes!)

The podcast's release on a Monday morning is perfecto for me. Such a boost to get on with the week and plan a routine in those 30 minutes! Even if I too had expected something longer.
Did anyone notice that the sneak peak published during the weekend contains a mistake - or is it just my spotify being messy? There's a bit towards the end of the recording that runs twice.
Hearing that during the weekend made me wonder if they'd be alone as it happened during the stereo recordings and Phil's nervousness suggested they wouldn't (otherwise why to be nervous to basically record a youtube video?). This is a bit of a negative for me, or at least something that yeah, creates that space for growth that they wouldn't need if it were just the two of them.

Somehow I still have an account here as well. Hiiii everyone welcome to this blessed age. While not active here I'd been watching almost every video still and somewhat following along their journey in life. I'm Phil's age and boy do I NOT have anyone to talk to about them, so here I am.

I've not much new to relate however I've listened to the phodcast in public and was almost cackling out loud so I recommend or do not recommend listening in public, take that as you will.

I feel hugely relieved for them and for myself as well, interacting with their stuff. It feels so much lighter. I'm a happy bee.

The seperate bedrooms thing was done so elaborately and consistently by them honestly I think they had most of us convinced, except a few bedroom truthers lol. Since coming out, I had assumed they were just a slightly unusual seperate rooms couple.

I do now have some mild historical parasocial speculation
Which bedroom was the 'fake' one? Thus, of the two iconic bedsheets, which one is a lie?
Did they pretend to sleep in seperate rooms when people came to stay?

I also listened to the podcast in public. Can't wait for the video to come out, but it'll come out at 1 am for me. Unfortunately, when my dad's away, I'll sleep in my mom's bed, and she wakes up easily, so I'll have to wait to watch the vid when I wake up in the morning.


Like everyone else above, I was also kinda in shock that they can now refer to sleeping together as something they do? Part of me is like... girl... you're delusional.. But it's nice to know it's not just in my head and that they've actually confirmed it. Somehow the image of Dan crouching and saying there's a man in the room is terrifying for me. Phil you have the heart and strength of a lion.


Also loved the Philippines shout-out. They were really featured in a lot of news sites here. I felt bad that we could only give them top 20 in the trending podcasts in Spotify. I guess their influence here has significantly lessened since II. But I'm glad that they love us, though I know they're never coming back here.


Loved the part where they read out the reactions to their coming out as a couple. They went with the most popular ones but I feel bad cause I've read a lot of funnier, more thought-out posts, that I hope they saw.


Also, release the phodcast producers. They sounded like they were kidnapped against their will.


The sugar daddy story was insane. Like Dip and Pip, you really have no concept of stranger danger have you? But then again, if they did have concept, they would have never have met... so I guess it all works out in the end. I've seen people saying they discussed it before, but I have no idea where they said this. Also, I love that they were so oblivious that they were being hit on. And of course loved the "It's never too late", "what do you mean it's never too late?!?". Dan's indignation. It's okay Danny boy, nobody's gonna steal your Phil.


Also Dan spelling Phannie as Phanny? So are we changing that or do we go an as usual?


Also was it just me or was Phil Capital £ester throughout the entire podcast? It was very funny and on brand of him. He was also insane for trying to spread misinformation. Glad Dan factchecked him immediately, but then again, Phil Lester is the only man I'll allow to spread disinformation and be like.... yes king. Go on make your stories. Him indirectly saying "Can't a fact be a lie?"... Like sorry honey.. No... a fact is a fact.


I also felt like it was too short. I really hope they make an hour long podcast.


The only part I really didn't like was the hard launch segment? I feel like it really didn't add much.

After hearing the truth about their laundry, I have to say that Phil is absolved of all cupboard and cereal-related crimes

I listened to the podcast in the morning and it was lovely! Way too short, felt like it flew by. Was so nice to hear that Phil felt relieved after hard launching. Will watch it in video form, as soon as we get it since it's late

Concerning the section where they will have listeners in the future, they said that this time it was from 'people in their life', I immediately thought the final caller (about killer whales) sounded a lot like crabstickz Chris and there was no name but eh, I might be imagining, I have no idea if they still keep in any contact
