I love how Dan and Phils lines in the first half of the song are so cut out for them. They could just have split up the lines but what they sing still represents each of them as a character. I noticed that at:

But Tumblr's a part of me!

I always saw Phil more as the chatty twitter guy, who posts random thoughts and snippets from his everyday life and converses with people (and after all it's where his career hit of, right?) while Dan is such a tumblr person: sarcasm, meme shitposting, assembling and curating some weird #aesthetic, strong (and sometimes problematic) opinions...

[Dan:]
Who cares if you procrastinate
Your one shot at existence!

Another one that is of course overused branding but seems to show a lot about how they view the internet in general: to Phil it's a place where you can look up all kinds of useless knowledge and talk to people, while Dan with the eternal doubt whether it's all just a waste of your lifetime.

And then after the "dance break" they sing this:

[Phil:]
Who cares if you're a loser
And everybody knows it!

[Dan:]
Or if you spend your life drawing whiskers on your noses!

[Phil:]
Even if your chances of getting tanned are slim

[Dan:]
Or if you like vicariously through the life of a Sim!

Which I'd say is all things that define them as a pair/brand together. (being a loser who never goes outside/is pale, PINOFS, gaming channel).

I don't even know where I am going with this, I just found it fun to think about and love that they clearly put a lot of thought into constructing the song!

nice analysis, but don't forget, they got help with the lyrics (they couldn't even rhyme the internet )

btw, Dan tans easily, doesn't he? cue all the racist jokes about mexicans he used to make. so the tan line is 100% Phil.

True they might have had help executing this, but it's the thought that counts

When was the last time Dan was tan like in 2010/11? These days he is almost as pale as Phil imo I mean you have to go outside after all, no matter how easily you tan
Also I feel like he's made the pale joke about himself before?

Won't buy it because I don't use iTunes and I'm stingy and not interested enough I found it kind of cringy as a standalone thing I'm always cringing when people that usually don't sing start singing (karaoke and I aren't friends), I'm very surprised that I only had a mild cringe attack when they started singing in the show and actually enjoyed it. But I can't really listen to it out of context.
I can't believe they still didn't tweet about it. I doubt it's because they're asleep, it's too late, even for them. Besides, they had to know that it was going to be released. Wouldn't they want to promote it (not that that was necessary, judging by the charts)? Or do they have another reason?
They look good on the cover but very odd and fake. I do love those gold jackets though. The American flag ones looked hideous, I'm glad they didn't do flag themed ones for all the shows.

I love Phil's sweater, it looks amazing I don't know if I like Dan's shirt. It's not ugly, but it looks kind of weird.
