He's said he can't wait for the iPhone 7+ to come out because he hates the iPhone 5 (again, another ls), so it's definitely his old iPhone 5 that he's using because he doesn't see the point in upgrading with the iPhone 7+ coming out in September.

Did he mean the 5 itself, or the size/shape of it? Because if he just meant that, he could very well have the SE, as they have the same casing.
If it was a new iPhone 5E then I don't think he would have tossed it onto his desk carelessly in a ls and said urgh I hate this phone and that he couldn't wait for the iPhone 7+.

While you all lose your shit over that picture (that do look great, I have to agree) I'm here still mad about Dan's tweets about Brazil.
This one in particular: Even if he was being sarcastic I haaaaate it! Oh yeah, we're all a single hivemind, no thinking humans here :sideeye: Yes, brazilians are enthusiastic about the things they like and support, but it's not like people from other places aren't the same. Because some are 'loud' on the internet and seem a bit obsessive doesn't mean everyone is the same. Brazil is fucking huge, of course part of it's population that like the same thing will appear more and call more attention.
Ugh!
/end of my rant about people making fun of brazilians for that stupid "come to brazil" shit that not even we take seriously
and plase don't come to brazil lmao
Same lmao he did NOT make it better with the replies. gringos sem noção
It's just unfunny, you can joke about this without going this far.
Ngl I really don't see the issue and thought it was funny - he's obviously not dehumanising the entire population of Brazil, come on :?

I put it under spoiler because I can't express myself w little words just
tl;dr yeah it was not terrible and problematic just kinda lame (imo) but wtv
I don't think of it as dehumanizing the entire population, I just don't see why he would not stop at that first ~joke. I don't care about his reply to "brazilians are people too ya know" because the girl itself didn't mind and I don't think she was trying to snap at him, since she was happy about him tweeting her.
I don't expect him to be a left wing guerrilla boy fighting for no borders and politically aware about all countries, I just wished for him to aknowledge he has a brazilian following and after the joke say something lighter and nice for idk his young brazilian viewers that already see our population as crap. It just didn't come. But again I don't think it's his fault that their fanbase is so young lol
Like in the Australia video I don't know how australians felt but in the end they aknowledged that it was just an exaggeration.
But I'm not one to be all bothered around tweets from someone I barely know and don't expect/want him to be a role model or something. I even laughed at the thought of him getting attention from brazilian twitter like Hope Solo did when she joked about zika.
PS. I'm sorry about the wording in portuguese I just wanted to give a shout out to OP bc I was excited :/ "Gringo" means "foreigner" in colloquial language and "sem noção" means something around "clueless".

mrrobot I can see how his comment could feel insulting. At the same time I understand how Dan could find the Brazil cheering funny especially because he finds all of the many 'come to Brazil!' comments amusing. His language was a bit 'othering' toward Brazil though.

Yes, that's what I meant ^ I also don't think he meant to dehumanize the population, just that it really wasn't a good joke and it's already something foreigners keep picking on and it's getting tiring. We know that at this point it's a joke, but he just stoped at the bad comparision and made it sound bad (imo).

Well everyone has pretty much summed up my thoughts on the hobbit hair that I didn't have time to process and write up before! Didn't notice Dan's replies to PJ and Anthony on here so in case anyone missed them: Listen to your friends Daniel and stop with the damn straighteners okay?!

Re: the Brazil tweets, didn't think they were super offensive but didn't think they were necessary ether can definitely see why people would be a bit upset by them though, imo he probably didn't really think it through
And I know literally nothing about Kanye so add me to the list of people who are confused by dan's stanning him.. Also I can't believe that hoodie was £650 but he does look hot in it so there's that

Thanks for the info on kanye. Maybe I will give it a whirl again with those albums. But I still can't stand his personality. Why Dan loves him so much I can't figure out. He seems like such an ass. It's one thing to be confident, another to be cocky. And he seems to be the epitome of cocky. I find it hard to appreciate people of influence who use it in such asinine ways. Be cocky, speak you're mind but use your influence to help others not just fund your bank account or get a rise out of people cause you think it's funny or whatever. maybe his music has what i think he's missing so I want to give him a fair shake.

That was such a great moment and it went practically unnoticed. We should have a playlist of these (the cactus, 'seriously how long will I love Ellie Goulding?', 'I need your love', 'All I want for Christmas is you' and I'm sure I'm forgetting some). I'm not sure about the blush, though, it could have been the light or the camera angle.

Yes to this compilation please. That would be super fab. I saw one the other day that I had never noticed before and never saw a discussion on. Can't remember what it was for though. I may go back and look at my YT history and bring it up when this place has a lull. :)

Super late to the party but about the European tour: I think they'll do something in like a week or a week and a half at most. Ireland and some northern European countries. Keep in mind for now all the places they have visited have English as their first language. I'd say in half of Europe the language barrier is too big for Dan and Phil to have a consistent teenage audience willing to buy tickets for their show.
This is so cute! I don't think I noticed that before, I can see the blush, his laugh is also so surprised I replayed the moment quite a few times.

Re European tour: idk, I'm leaning more towards 'not happening' but the fact that they didn't announce anything keeps me in the fence, but it's awfully close, I hope they announce something soon.

Re Kanye: Add me to the crowd that just doesn't understands stanning Kanye, I get liking his music but I wouldn't let myself pubicly stan someone so problematic.

Re Brazil tweets:
I don't think they're offensive but what rubs quite a lot of people the wrong way is 'come to Brazil' jokes, I 100% know he doesn't mean it in a bad way and people who joke about it also don't mean it badly at all because people really don't know what's problematic about the joke and I get it, it's not something easy to know but it does get tiring after a while. The joke started as a way of making fun of how passionate and loud some brazillians fans are so yeah, it's automatic to hear the joke and think whoever is saying it is making fun of people for loving something passionately.
tl;dr: I don't mind him for the joke but I get why people feel 'ugh' about it.
I would imagine Google analytics would show which European countries have enough of a fanbase to make a tour stop economically plausible?

People are freaking out about it probably because commonly, most roommates don't live together for longer than 2-3 years. Let alone in two different places. But they managed to live together for literally half a decade now and have no desire to move out separately any time soon as far as we know. So it's just lovely to think they enjoy eachothers company that much and that they've lived together for 5 years and counting.

Its really heartwarming, really. Many people plan w friends (or even partners) to move in together but as they get to know/be with each other so much, it doesn't go far. It's really meaningful to live with someone for so much time, I fell all fuzzy inside. Specially since they met on the internet. Gah. Cute

I moved into an apartment with my best friend when we were 21 (despite my Mother's warning that it might not end well) and we lasted 2 years before going our separate ways. I should have heeded my Mother's warning because it really didn't end well! I know that won't be everyone's experience, but it's probably why I do find it especially heartwarming that they've known each other for 7 years, lived together for 5 of those, and have seemingly maintained such a close relationship that shows no sign of weakening any time soon. It's just a nice thing.

I've had the same thing. Mom telling me not a great idea bla bla. NY the end we weren't even speaking. But then I moved in with 2 other friends and we're still friends, but because we lived together it still hurts the relationships. We no longer just hung out. We saw each other at home so why make plans etc. We were old too so that helped. But it us a thing, your not supposed to live with a friend. Easier with strangers even if it sounds weird. That way you have set boundaries. Best roommate I ever had was a person I never met before. it is great that Deppy still are happy living together. 5 years is an accomplishment.

It is an accomplishment indeed. Also I think it's cute, because they can obviously afford to live on their own, but still seem to really like living together. Hope they will continue to do so for a long time

It seems pretty clear that they get along (aside from Phil pinching cereal and leaving cabinet doors ajar - all kitchen related, hmmm...) Anyway, they are creative partners and use each other's input and assistance on a daily basis. If they don't get on each other's nerves, it makes sense to live together - although maybe in a bigger place?

Alright, I'm late as heck to the selfie party, and I've made no secret of the fact that I'm 100% Dangirl and #TeamHobbitHair, but I agree with Winston. I can't get behind the selfie because it's a tooottaall fuckboy pose. All he needs is his shirt off and a baseball cap on. That Peej reply tho. Adorbs af. Also I will submit to #handporn.

Yeah, it really does make sense for them to live together, especially when they moved to London because they didn't have a whole lot of money to fall back on (and their rent isn't cheap). But why would they need a bigger place?

So it's about midnight here on the east coast of the US, which makes it 1400 / 2 in the afternoon in Perth (if I have my timezones correct,) and not a peep out of either of the two yet. And it seems to me that if they're sightseeing, somebody must have spotted them by now and leaked it all over IG / Tw. Time to speculate: could they perhaps be rehearsing somewhere? It has been weeks since the US tour, so they must be rusty. Are the Olympics so absorbing that they haven't left the hotel? Maybe an encounter with some exotic indigenous creature has changed their destiny??? In any event, let's hope for the sake of the Australian fans that Dan is getting better and nursing his voice. At least the humidity in Hong Kong probably helped that out.

It's just past 12 in perth, considering the time difference between the UK and australia, they may be sleeping late and recovering from jetlag. I expect a tweet from dan about hitting 6 mil very soon
