Jesus Phil when are you going to stop doing this to me. I had enough on my plate with Dan, and now you too. So inconsiderate.

Is it me being weird and my Phil-thirst has just developed due to the drought, or is he just fine as fuck lately? Like, extra?

Also - we've been amusing ourselves but I do think we can officially call this a drought now. I'm almost getting used to it, to the point where I feel like a new video will make me worse again its like we've gone cold turkey and giving me another taste is only going to draw me back to the misery of wondering when the next upload will be. Am I using an addiction analogy? Yes, yes I am. Too. Damn. Real.

Oh and I think the 2012 jokes are fine - they're a deliberate reflection of how far Dan has come and I think there's a sense of pride towards this which the phandom sews into these jokes. They're always as a contrast to something 'good' or 'accepting' Dan has done recently and I think serve more to praise how much they enjoy 2015/2016 Dan, rather than really drag 2012 Dan.

i still find 2012 Dan jokes funny, sue me. Dan has joked about it himself, I don't really see the issue here.
you summed up my thoughts at this point. I watched a video with all of Dan's "furry proof" moments and it demonstrates what you're saying pretty accurately. Knowing how ironic Dan is, we all know he's just joking about the furry thing, but when you compile all of it together and take it out of context the evidence is actually convincing.
In short, we can all have speculations about things. I don't think there's a specific handbook of what is proven and not proven, because LITERALLY NOTHING is proven.

Beyond the fact that I feel like Phil's got a big dick, I've never really found Phil that attractive, but in recent photos, I'm starting to see what I assume the loyal Phil lovers have seen all along. I don't know if I'm fully a Philophile yet... he still needs to slip on the glasses, swoop the hair to the side, and grow out the stubble (and maybe gain back the weight in the booty)... then maybe we'll talk.

I've always been more attracted to Dan, however I'm on the same boat of the Phil train.
Phil with glasses if my weakness. And also +1 on the booty weight. Phil has to flaunt it off, he puts the ass in sass.

Idk they are cute being with each other all the time to a extend. But the fact even when they are in a social scenario with lots of acquaintances they still keeping each other within halp meters actually made really annoyed for them? Like aren't you get tired of each other I'm tired for you!

Or maybe they are just friends they don't talk to each other in the tour bus and one of them sleeping in a magic unexisting second bedroom.
When I saw the YT summit photos and videos, I immediately thought "IT'S NO LONGER CUTE!! YOU ARE NOT CONJOINED TWINS!!" Seriously. they have been doing this Youtube thing for years. They meet those people at least twice a year. Technically, they are their colleagues. And yet, they don't socialize away from each other. From what I saw on the different vlogs (not just the summit), they do socialize separately but they are only a few feet away from each other. Don't they get tired of each other??? HOWEVER, whenever they are not together, it feels odd. I always look for the other person. They make me go crazy.
kuensukki wrote: Is it me being weird and my Phil-thirst has just developed due to the drought, or is he just fine as fuck lately? Like, extra?
IKR. I mean I've always liked Phil more than Dan because of their personalities but DAMN Phil's really looking good lately. I'm thinking it's the age thing. He's aging well just like a good wine . Or, possibly because most of his photos lately were tour related where he was mostly Phil Lester than AmazingPhil.
Phil's increasing appeal to me makes me dislike Dan more because he's keeping Phil all to himself. Learn to share, Dan. Post more photos! hehe. jk. I like Dan now.
I can feel the drought. huhu. I don't want to believe that there is drought. But with all the toxic news and posts on the presidential candidates of my country , I just want to be happy. :sobs: I'll be content with a LAP video. Please.

Dan and Phil at a baseball game is a concept I'm having a hard time computing. But oooookay. Whatever gets them in the North American spirit.

Totally off-topic, but I found myself talking to my roommate about the general concept of how sad it is that they probably won't come back to some of these American cities anytime soon (or ever, for that matter). To which she responded, "Maybe they'll come back and do another tour?" And my thought was... what the hell would they do on another tour? Would they even do one? It's not like they're a musician with a new album. I just can't picture them being able to come up with a brand new production, but perhaps I'm cynical. Thoughts?

edit: after looking up the company there might have been other passengers, however, it is definitely smaller and not as well known as the traditional "Maid of the Mist" tours so maybe they were trying to avoid crowds
Those ponchos are from the "Hornblower" tour boat - looks pretty non-exclusive from their website:

They're really getting the most out of this tour! Viagr-I mean Niagra* falls tour, then shopping, dinner, sports game, when will it end? If they were having trouble sleeping before they won't now...

I love you guys too much. The amount of booty-deflation wasn't brought to my attention until now, and I will stay ambiguous on the topic.

What's going on with the world! I guess they ran out of things to do in Toronto lol. Or maybe they got free tickets somehow b/c I really can't see why they'd pay to watch a baseball game.

yeah, not so much. I mean, as someone who is both American and Canadian, if I were able to go to their Toronto show, I wouldn't want any American flags.

lmao at the baseball game.

Our lads have almost zero interest in sports aside from the anime kind and F1 for Dan, theynever even go to a football match in England and Phil doesn't even have a preference between ManU and ManC, but they go to see a baseball game in Canada.

Ok. :thumb:

toronto's baseball team (and basketball right now) just brings people together, the season just started, the team's on fire, and the skydome roger's centre is packed to capacity every night
they were in the city, feeling the hype, and they're probably not the most out of place people i've seen there

The best thing anyone can do is look at the big picture situation and make their mind up, imo, instead of going overboard trying to prove or disprove every individual thing as it happens.

But fandom is a very in-the-moment vibe and people often aren't thinking more than a week in the past or a week in the future, everything is evaluated for strictly what it means at the time it happens.
but people try to use the big picture to prove little things, rather than adding these smaller details to overall reasoning. the wedding venue event in particular was not a phan thing and does not play into any big picture - it did not make sense either way because gay marriage is not legal in japan.
once some people already have in their mind what the truth is, they don't take into account any new evidence that doesn't fit that, and bend anything else to make it support them. people could make house plants phan proof if they tried hard enough, and it would be accepted as part of The Big Picture, when instead these instances should be analysed and that then either adds or takes away from the winning view you have.

when will the 'hahaha 2012 dan wasn't comfortable expressing himself!!' jokes die a horrible death
The problem with this argument is,who is going to decide which of the little detail counts as definitive ''proof'' or ''antiproof'' to add to The Big Picture? The truth is that everyone has their own biases clouding their judgment. Everything they did or said in the past can be interpreted as a joke or taken out of context, or similarly as a declaration of their hidden love if you try hard enough. No one is really impartial enough to decided what can go into the canonical textbook of Definitive Phan/Anti-Phan Things. I think we can all agree that until one of them has a significant other in the public eye or they confirm their relationship, there really is no such thing as ''proof''. I'm with jaej on this one. Mostly I don't like being a delusional fan. I want to keep a clear head about these things. Sure, the wedding venue tweet was funny, but how did people get it into their head that in implicated Phan? It had nothing to do with Phan. I just don't want to be that delusional. I understand that it's 'fun', but yeah, I'd rather stick to what proof we have. Gay couple emoji is cute. Doesn't necessarily mean anything other than that Dan doesn't give a shit, which I admire.
Why would we try to create some sort of AU situation where Niagara falls is romantic? I just don't get fandom sometimes.
I wanna emphasize that I like phanfic. I guess I just don't like conflating reality with fantasy.
