They also said there might be a spooky livestream so I'd assume that's Saturday. Then baking video on Tuesday (the 31st)?
Btw I was wondering today, do you think they'll do Gamingmas again? Those kind of things always create an expectancy in people (like when Dan was asked for another edition of the Memes of 201x), so I think they will address it soon so no one gets too excited if they don't wanna do it.
Dan & Phil Part 57: Pinky and the Brain
I think even if they don't do the whole month, they might at least do a week of games (kinda like spooky week), because they know people want it and would be disappointed if it doesn't happen.LtrllySusan wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 5:13 pm Btw I was wondering today, do you think they'll do Gamingmas again? Besides that would be a great time to play Truth Bombs again. They would sponsor the game around Christmas time, when people might be more inclined to buy it as a present or just as a fun game to play during the holidays.
Also thanks to everyone who answered my question about Tom/Phil. I'm still not sure what he meant, but this video left me wanting more interactions between them (and Dan too).

I'm guessing it depends on just how badly they want to cash in on the increased adsense dollars? Surely they made bank on it last year. But if they look at how much they made and decide that it wasn't actually worth the effort they put in... I won't be super shocked.rainydays wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 5:52 pmI think even if they don't do the whole month, they might at least do a week of games (kinda like spooky week), because they know people want it and would be disappointed if it doesn't happen.LtrllySusan wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 5:13 pm Btw I was wondering today, do you think they'll do Gamingmas again? I just checked and it looks like you're right!JustMe wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 9:12 am Loved the video and the game! I like the colors and design of it. I might be crazy but I kept wondering if Dan was wearing pink nailpolish in the gaming video... I'm probably wrong? But I can't figure it out.

To me that looks like nail polish, but it might just be that his nailbeds are unusually pink in that video. But here's another screenshot of Dan's nails for reference, not as pink:

To me, it kind of looks like he just didn't do a great job of removing the yellow that he had on for World Mental Health Day.emerald wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 6:26 pmI just checked and it looks like you're right!JustMe wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 9:12 am Loved the video and the game! Possibly? I don't wear nail polish so idk, but that could be it. Would it really linger this long even after you've used nail polish? Gonna try find another reference for Dan's nails recently.onceinaugust wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 6:30 pmTo me, it kind of looks like he just didn't do a great job of removing the yellow that he had on for World Mental Health Day.
In his That Week In March LS, these are his nails - not pink nor do they look like they have nail polish on them at all.
Again, you could still be right, but I feel like they'd still look like they have nail polish on them in his liveshow then.

And the possibility for three dinof videos this month has been dashed, but I think that’s perfectly fair.
Also Dan’s new header is strongly Truth Bombs themed, but is also fan art.

I'm well hyped for the baking video - it looks like it will be on Dan's channel so I'm expecting next level innuendo and inappropriateness from both of them!
Re. Spooky Week, I wonder if they'll do the haunted course on Golf With Friends. Probably not scary enough!
I'd love to know what Dan thought of the new Blade Runner - I saw it the other day and thought it was amazing. Hopefully he'll talk a bit about it in his live show next week.

Yeah, I really doubt they'll do the entire month again though I'd absolutely love to be wrong.LtrllySusan wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 5:13 pm Btw I was wondering today, do you think they'll do Gamingmas again? I spend a solid 5 minutes glancing through and whilst I'm not convinced he's wearing nail polish, I think I've figured out partly why his nails look so pink? in none of the previous pictures of his nails from old videos does he have a white tip, in this video it seems like he does.emerald wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 6:35 pmPossibly? what I find funny about this is that Dan had first choice of which question to answer for Phil and he still chose the what does he taste like question. he's such a shit, I love it. and I also think it's funny that Tom and Hazel left Phil to answer the same question about Dan. I also love the shared glance between Tom and Hazel when DnP were bickering about the spoiled milk comment
Yes! omg I was rewatching the video earlier and I noticed the same thing! Dan really wanted to share that bit of information apparently. Also Hazel's face during that whole bit is gold.ArtyJim wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 7:52 pmwhat I find funny about this is that Dan had first choice of which question to answer for Phil and he still chose the what does he taste like question. he's such a shit, I love it. and I also think it's funny that Tom and Hazel left Phil to answer the same question about Dan. THIS BIT. Dan literally moves Phil's chair over and not just by shoving from one side, but putting a hand on each side of the chair and moving in. I think it's v cute.dailybooth wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 6:14 pm
2:21 idk I just love this combination of Dan trying to slide up next to Phil and Phil chewing, just something u don't really see in videos and it feels natural and cute

This is a few days old, but I actually just noticed it:
I feel like it's pretty rare that youtubers from that particular set actually address how... well, annoying, lol, they have been.

I'm sorry but, "usually stereotypes are quite true" is not an okay statement. It's not okay to say that Irish people drink a lot, just like it's not okay to say that Jews are stingy with money, Women are bad at hands-on/technical jobs, English people have bad teeth, blond people are stupid, feminine men are gay and masculine women are lesbians. None of those statements are okay, no matter if you think they're "quite true" or not. Even "positive" stereotypes can be/are harmful, like Asians are good at math.
(And, see that you're from Ireland, but I still don't think that makes it ok.)

I don't think that's fair. If dia is from Ireland and is comfortable making jokes about Irish people and/or agrees that there is truth to the stereotype of Irish people and alcohol, they are completely within their rights to do so. Who are we as non-Irish people to tell them what they can or can't say about their own country?aleanna wrote: Sat Oct 21, 2017 6:14 am (And, see that you're from Ireland, but I still don't think that makes it ok.)
Like, I am Australian and I completely welcome people joking about my country. Mainly because I hate patriotism and think Australia is an absolute racist/colonialist/homophobic shithole, but like I am not at all offended by people making fun of white Australians in any way. There are similar stereotypes about Australia and alcohol actually, and most Australians would probably just find it funny, and pretty accurate tbh. I think it's totally unfair to jump on dia for this, and to compare what they said about their own country to making racist jokes against people from a race/culture they are not a part of, which is absolutely not what dia did.
(also i'm sorry, i know this is off topic from dnp but i'm procrastinating essay writing and i can never shut up)
on one hand, stereotyping is a form of racism.captainspacecoat wrote: Sat Oct 21, 2017 6:25 amI don't think that's fair. On the other hand, all aboard the banter bus. I'm half Irish and my experiences with my fully Irish family have indicated that this is a somewhat accurate stereotype that is joked about in good fun. (That and is every Irish person a feeder or is just my family, because visiting family in Ireland sometimes feels like an episode of Man V Food - like the time we had 3 breakfasts, a mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, dessert, and an evening snack in one day
like if Hazel had been deeply offended and hurt, it wouldnt have been in the video and they'd have played another round. They know Hazel, Hazel is known for drinking like Tom is known for guns. Its just a joke, a slightly offensive but still funny joke. (and my weakness for offensive humour is showing again)

Oh I hope they do, I love that game. They do play things that aren't particularly scary, look at their video for Can Your Pet so don't see why they wouldn't play the level on GWF.DatCog wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2017 6:58 pm Re. Okay, but if they don't play the haunted course in GWF I'll be sorely disappointed, there will never be a better opportunity to play it than Spooky Week. Apart from that I hope they're going to go for more cozy spooky games again and less really scary ones because I usually can't watch those videos. I love horror books and films but somehow horror games are too much for me, don't even ask me how that makes sense.
I love Spooky Week though, I'm so glad it's going to happen again this year.
This. Guys, seriously. If dia as an Irish person is okay with jokes about Irish people how is that problematic? She's not saying everyone has to be okay with them... Also Hazel is Dan and Phil's (and Tom's, I guess?) friend and has been their friend for a long time. I'm pretty sure they know what kinds of jokes she's okay with and she didn't seem offended at all, she was just joking along. Obviously if some random person went up to an Irish stranger and made these kinds of jokes it would be hella insensitive and not okay at all, especially considering the history of the Troubles, but they're all friends and they know what they're comfortable with. And I think telling an actual Irish person that she's not allowed to find Irish stereotypes funny is crossing a line and y'all might want to take a step back.captainspacecoat wrote:I think it's totally unfair to jump on dia for this, and to compare what they said about their own country to making racist jokes against people from a race/culture they are not a part of, which is absolutely not what dia did.

I doubt it. Dan said he had a busy weekend and either today or tomorrow they’ll be with P.J., Sophie, Marzia, etc. I’m excited for the Spooky Week livestream next weekend though!
