I mean, they were there, they definitely flew today, that time may not match because 11:45 was the time that girl's parents took their flight, or the time she got the message ?? or they arrived at the airport early to get the tickets and had to do a lot of waiting, or they said the flight was early for dramatic effects ??
I dont think they lied.
They lie to protect themselves, but not for content

Welcome new posters! Glad to hear more opinions. Hope you enjoy joining in the discussion. Anybody know when deppy's meet & greet is? And are they doing a panel?

The explanation for why they flew so late is hilarious, and also quite satisfying given how many people were giving them a hard time for allegedly lying! Sounds like an incredibly stressful journey, but good on them for managing to pull it together and be entertaining even still.

Re: the contentious meaning of 'early flight' - I agree that the most likely explanation is a) due to being such terrible night owls midday is genuinely considered early by dnp or b) Dan mentally converted the timezones for the American audience. I don't think they'd have any reason to lie about that.

Re: the try guys - I'm with fancybum tbh, I never find it particularly funny when youtubers mimic dnp by exaggerating homoeroticism and making that the punchline of their jokes, as it comes across as insensitive and kind of cruel to me. But I also agree that in the grand scheme of things it's not worth making a fuss over, and I also recognise that this might just be me being overly-sensitive

Also I believe it was the daughter that shared them not him? He was just doing something nice for his child by taking a few snaps of these grown men who make their living by selling their own likeness and likability.

As we know being a fan is by it's very nature invasive, this whole forum is dedicated to – respectful for the most part – chat and speculation about them, which I love by the way... I have never engaged in such classics as 'the zoom in on grainy pictures of the outside of their hotel room, which shows a vague impression of a bed', nah huh, not me (yes me) I'm innocent your honour; but as we all know other people can think we are a 'creepy bunch'. However I think these dad shots are very different from pictues taken by someone whose stalked them specifically to try and get a certain type of shot/proof.

Anyway, sorry to prattle on, I didn't really mean to go on about this specific set of pics, more the fact that youtubers in general are very casual about taking pictures of other non consenting members of the public in the course of vlogging etc, and think nothing of it, but they and often their fans don't like it the other way around. (I may be weird but I would hate to find myself around people who were vlogging). Do they even need for us to be over protective about being the subject of a candid picture? Personally I don't think so.

Also, let us not forget our boy Daniel is not averse to taking the odd candid celebrity shot himself, Psy in the lift anyone (failed admittedly)?

I think the Dad was probably thinking that, so I wouldn't blame him tbh.

Also your english is amazing dw! :D

Well that was a fun rollercoaster of scrolling, who knows what might pop up next? Although I wish their flight story was a main channel dinof video, I actually loved "I nearly blinded myself", so hearing Daniel dramatically tell this story with some amazing phil (bdum tss) acting would have been incredible tbh.

Wait, Dan and Phil were shouting at each other? On stage? Like, in a bickering sort of way? Or did the twitter replies not say? So many questions...

I'll probably end up watching at least part of it, especially if that is the case. I hope it's not, but that's the kind of stuff I want to see firsthand as opposed to just rely on someone elses' account, if possible. Either way, I'm sure it's just due to nerves/exhaustion and I hope people don't blow it out of proportion. :? (Although I do totally understand not being able to watch it!)

My exact thoughts. Omg who did he piss off?! Honestly I think travelling with Dan is going age Phil by 2 years every time they have to do it. Can you imagine if THAT had happened, and then on top of that, Bahamas 2.0??

If this doesn't become a main channel video for either of them they've missed an opportunity, that was genuinely hilarious. I promise I feel bad for them, its just so ridiculous and Dan definitely pissed off the gods of aviation

It was in a jokey sort of way! They'd never acc have an argument on stage aha. They asked the audience whos fault they thought it was (and ofc the audience thought it was Dans fault, which Dan was expecting from the beginning ), then Dan went in for the joke that it was the drivers fault and Phil hilariously replied something along the lines of "No, it was all Dan's fault"

They were jokingly roasting each other throughout for Dan leaving his passport in a pair of jeans that he'd packed and Phil booking the taxi on GMT rather than BST time.

It's quite an amusing story imo, if you scroll down updatedphan on twitter there's a periscope of the whole show, Dan and Phil are right at the end (around 1 hour 20 min in, I believe).

They were shouting at each other but not in a 'omg Phil you're a dumb fuck who I hate' more like 'I cannot believe this fucking happened it is so ridiculous' way. It was definitely friendly banter, they were laughing at themselves, I didn't read it as malicious at all. They wouldn't bring up anything that might be a sore subject that might cause an argument (like how much rescheduling flights cost or how much sleeping in an airport sucks).

Also this is how I watched it, if you can deal with some pretty loud screaming at the end the video is in really good quality and you can hear everything.

Ahh okay, good! I couldn't picture them having a full-blown argument on stage, but I was imagining them being lowkey snarky about it (especially Dan) and throwing in jabs at each other that were only half-joking. I guess I just don't have enough faith in their stage abilities.

Gonna go watch it now before I go off to sleep, since the curiosity will keep me awake until I do.

Wow these two are so good at making a mess. They also both look amazing in those trousers. Mhm, Dan's fancy pants and Phil in skinny jeans

I just watched the Periscope stream (there are three more streams from previous years still there btw). The YouTube video looks clearer, amazing someone put it up on there already, gotta love a dedicated phandom that works fast. I loved the bit where Phil shouted "isn't that the first thing you think of!" top dramatic argument bants right there. It's so unusual for Phil to even pretend to be annoyed, it's funny to see him like that. Loved the way Dan posed and said "met Dan and Phil, that was fun", that's the kind of observational snark I signed up for.

I also wonder what they'd planned to talk about if they hadn't had this, but they tell a good story. They did the Daniel and worrying about falling off the stage in their intro hosting the Playlist Live opening night show too. And Dan again with the Shamu Splash Zone, he gets a good laugh from that. I guess what Dan meant by only telling the story at VidCon was now they've tweeted it and told the story, maybe they don't want to rehash it for videos as well.

Ok I watched it, and I only got a bit uncomfortable when Phil said the "Isn't that the first thing you think of" thing; acting or not, I like it when people are happy :? #justdivorcechildthings

I am wondering though why Dan left his (stained) shirt on, I mean changing a shirt takes literally 30 seconds. Could have also repacked at the airport and put a secondary set of clothes into the hand luggage and changed before the landing?

Also, I hope the "slept at the airport" means they got a room and didn't snooze under some bench. Hard to believe it would be worth staying at the airport (time-wise) instead of going back home, but oh well, it made for a good story.

I can believe the part about the taxi driver, compared to my dad and friends who did The Knowledge, they have no idea.

They told the story very well, they really spark off each other and make some great voices and poses. Phil's surprisingly sharp with stories like this. Dan only gets blamed with a louder cheer cos everyone still thinks Phil's an innocent angel, though

That security guard does look amused. They must just wonder at who these guys are who are most popular to get such screams from the audience.

This is literally one of the few things I remember from Psychology A-Level but don't all London taxi drivers know London so well that it is biologically measurable in their brain? Like their hippocampus is larger than it is in a 'normal' person.

The only way I can see the taxi driver bit being true is if they used Uber or something, do non black cab drivers have to have The Knowledge?

3 weeks is the average amount of time to get from one side of LA to the other. LA traffic is HORRID, and you literally sit in one spot forever.

That's what he was speaking of.

[offtopic]Now I really want a story about a team of superheroes, and one of their members is just a completely normal guy who has a superpower-like knowledge of London's layout from his special taxi driver-sized hippocampus. [/offtopic]

In the video, didn't they mention that the taxi driver was new? Or was that just Dan speculating/making a joke? We don't have taxi drivers in my area so I'm not really familiar with how they operate, and whether or not a taxi driver that truly inexperienced would be allowed to work.

I don't see why they'd lie about the taxi driver getting lost when they could've just blamed it on Phil booking the cab an hour later. Plus, shouting out at the protestors to "Get a real job" ... sounds pretty realistic, sadly. Hilarious in the story though. Maybe it's just been my experience with them, but London cab drivers really are the most talkative and willing to break the regular awkward social boundaries (remember Dan and Louise's story about when a motorbike rammed into their taxi and the driver just got out? Good times ).

I'm guessing the cab driver might've said "I'm new, so sorry if I do *blahblahblah* wrong" at the beginning of the journey.

The other idea is that he just took them on a really shitty route (some sat nav routes are so stupid man, why can't they just turn around instead of having to do a full circle around a block? ) because he wasn't familiar with the area and didn't know any shortcuts, good routes etc. therefore it was determined that he was new.

Only black cab drivers have to pass 'The Knowledge' test, meaning that they have to know how to navigate London. I bet they took an Uber or similar service (Hailo/Gett) because black cabs are super expensive and nobody really uses them anymore except for tourists.

I just dug mine out from The Wardrobe and Phil signed with a '=)' which is interesting. I'm guessing he alternates or alternated during this signing?? Maybe mine was a later signed poster when they were getting tired because Dans ':Dan' doesn't exactly look neat (Though I am aware Dans handwriting is so bad that if the enigma code had been written down in it we'd still be trying to crack it)
