i've never liked the discussions because i think speculations on if someone bottoms always tend to be incredibly invasive and eventually demeaning, especially because i don't think the people who post such detailed things about dan being a bottom would comment things so detailed or invasive for a straight couple. i think those discussions being so common mean that everything dan does (minor, innocent comments on someones attractiveness)is so incredibly hypersexualised, to a point that's passed what he jokes about himself.

You always make good points. I totally get that Dan makes outrageous/ sexual comments, but the amount that people sexualize him is definitely inappropriate. And i do think that philtops is phandom's way of compensating for something

Sorry to burst your Phan bubbles but I'm 99% sure he was referencing the story that they wrote about Vegas in Tabinof, hence why Phil said "which is a totally true story." Then again, Dan might've been referencing something completely different than what Phil ended up talking about.

I know, but it does sound like Dan was talking about the non-Tabinof version (the general "myth", nothing ) and then, after Phil said that, he added a little comment like "oh, yeah, we'll have trouble because of all that stuff 'we did'". Like Dan was thinking about all the Vegas footage and Phil was thinking about Tabinof.

gosh, we're really starved for content, can't believe i got excited about that video just because it was something to watch where's the dinof video dan, c'mon, it's been 24 years

also i would kill for a ditl, i really hope the dvd/documentary/whatever won't get in the way of them making a ditl, because when side projects (like this fucking tour that i'm so tired of) get in the way of getting the regular content we signed up for i start getting annoyed

To keep this on topic... I'd hope if there's only one day/city (outside of Philly maybe?) that they vlog, it's Vegas. Even if to appease us all slightly. Though, if we're being honest, they probably both want to keep those birthday celebrations to themselves...

It's strange because I normally feel so uncomfortable about couples that never seem to do anything apart, but I don't feel any of that from d&p. I've tried to figure out why before, and had a couple of thoughts:

1. They don't seem to be unhealthy about it. They hang out with other couples people, have a productive(ish) work life, have their own separate spaces at home, have differing opinions on a variety of subjects, and they can do things alone if they need to. I guess that says more "adorable closeness" to me than "creepy codependency".

2. Idk but maybe it's because they look so similar? The height, the hair, the general body shape, the similar clothes - it kind of gives off twin vibes. I mean some things about twins feel a bit creepy but I guess I don't find it weird that twins do everything together. So maybe that's a contributing factor?

I actually usually don't mind the guy and think he speaks up about a lot of important issues to his audience but the movie made him seem so stand-offish and like his fans are a burden and I'm just.... wtf? Still sort of disappointed they didn't prepare videos beforehand for the whole duration of the tour, they could learn one thing or two from Pewds. I've checked it and Dan has uploaded 6 VIDEOS so far this year, two of them being the crunchyroll ad and the TATINOF announcement. Phil is not doing much better with the astonishing amount of 8 videos

I don't know, it just seems so forced and awkward and ugh. I'd love to see a compilation of it. (Why am I like this? I don't know it bothered me to the point that I didn't want to watch them anymore. I know that it was part of the persona but ugh. I'm glad he doesn't do it anymore. (at least not often)

[offtopic]I talked to my best friend about his opinions on Deppy a while back and he said the only reason he doesn't ship them is because they look like each other He actually thought they were dating because he saw lots of posts on them in tumblr and automatically assumed they were canon Whats funny is that recently he started dating this boy that looks like him as well so now I joking call them "Dan and Phil." funnily enough, it's called the straight man act and I'm with you there; it gets real old real fast.

i've noticed dan laughs as kind of a placeholder sometimes, but i don't think thats weirder than any other awkward transition. also not sure the example at 1:05 even counts because there's a cut before it and he could genuinely have been laughing at something.
