I was laid up with a high fever most of Wednesday and all of Thursday, so the timing of this video was perfect, and I think it was just what the doctor ordered! Here are my highlights:

• The first thing I noticed was that Phil is wearing Dan’s skull sweater merch. He brings this fact up at [1:03].
• [0:33] Phil comments on some underwear:

  P: Something tells me if the average man wears those that wolf nose is--*laughs*--is not gonna be as proud as that.

  Sounds to me like an interesting question that Phil definitely should have investigated.
• [2:55] Phil opts not to buy the two best items he’s advertised: some skimpy shorts and some non-piercing nipple rings.
• [6:30] Phil stands up, revealing that he’s been sitting in the purple dining chair from his and Dan’s old apartment. This is only notable because, in the video where he revealed his new filming setup, he was sitting in the green dining chair, so I wonder if he uses a different dining chair every time he films a new video.

I loved the video, though I'm also on team unecessary plastic crap isn't a great thing. I am living for his hair, though, and his adorable excitement for the useless box. At least he'll get a good amount of fun out of that. I thought at first that the bag of red worms were gummy sweets, at least they weren't real, eh. The trousers, hilarious, especially the upside-down butt shot, but what the heck is he going to do with them now? Would a charity shop even want them? I hear there are textile recycling places that shred fabric for rags, is that their fate? Heh. The incense burner was good too and they really did give a good amount of burny things. At least if you spent a few more than £1 you often get something kinda decent (maybe, I don't use Wish myself, wouldn't really know). His voice and bants were great too, I love when he gets that gravelly sound.

While I'm here, and cannot unhear the repeated use of the word 'butt', it's Project for Awesome from now until Sunday and they've been discussing "is butt legs?" though they're now onto mealworms. The livestream will probably be refreshed/restarted a few times over the weekend so the link will change; check the vlogbrothers channel. i loved this video so so much. i don’t know if it’s because it’s a familiar sort of format for phil, but he feels more confident or comfortable or something lately..am i reaching? maybe? i really love when he’s investigating unusual things. (also, as an aside, i never mind a honey spon because it’s one of those things that I legit use & like. it feels like a pretty natural and unforced #spon for him)

i did want to tug on that horrifying squid mask to straighten out the eyeholes...that was making me twitch a bit.

also, selfishly, loved the interaction with the Nicholas Cage pants. i feel like i heard a little more of their natural voices there too. dan was less “showman” Dan.

I found the video just so fun and classic Phil. He just seemed to be so happy and that caught on. And there were so many golden little moments! Like him not swiping the sequins the right way, the utter glee on his face when he got the batteries to work on the useless box, running at Dan...the list goes on. It was just nice and I enjoyed it a lot.

that was a genuinely lovely video. i think phil's entertaining personality really shone through in that video and it was just generally very uplifting

that was a nice lighthearted video, his reaction to the worms and the useless box cracked me up, and of course dan filming him in the nicolas cage joggers

but also, i think i've finally worked out where phil's filming background is (not sure what the previous theories/consensus on this was, sorry if this is old news!). when he pointed the camera at the mirror in the norman makeup video (2:56), there were white tiles on the floor, so that placed it somewhere in the filming flat. then in this video, he gets up at 6:31 and the same thing that's visible on the wall can also be seen at 0:06 in the bahamas video. so, he's in the old dinof filming room. can you tell it's really been bugging me being unable to tell where his background is in relation to anything else...

I watched it on the bus while on my way home from work and I had to keep myself from laughing several times. Excellent classique Phil video 10/10 would stare at Phil's ass through Dan's eyes again.

Fave bits were Phil commenting on how the wolf nose wouldn't be as proud on the average man, the wholesomeness of Phil's fascination with the the useless box, and Phil showing off the goods in front of Dan. That one felt strangely intimate.

The brown hair is growing on me a bit as well. *hides*

That’s interesting if he’s in what was Dan’s filming space since that’s seemingly not used (and BIG could’ve been anywhere), but that seems to be an air vent and there might be more than one around the apartment.

that's true, but you can also often see where the corner is on the left hand side, if the camera angle is right. and when he showed his christmassy houseplant today, the corner on the right was visible as well. so the wall he films against seems about the same width as the wall of the dinof room, and the air vent seems to be positioned in the same place. there's only so many blank walls of that size they can have in a presumably 2 bedroom flat.

i previously wondered if he'd stayed in the old ap room and just got rid of the bed, but that room had a curved corner instead of a right angled one so that wouldn't work. and there's the blank wall in the gaming room but that has a wardrobe on the right, whereas on the right during today's houseplant closeup, it looked like the corner of a windowsill.

Loved loved loved the video. Proper made me smile!

I don’t know where the live-streams are done. I initially thought they were in the filming flat but Phil said the planet props were in the room during one liveshow and from the bts it looked like they took those photos at the flat they live in and dan’s dinof desk was there too so they may have moved some things around

I can't get over how good Phil looks in Dan's jumper. It actually suits him more than Dan I think, I love the contrast of the deep black with his soft autumn hair.

Video wasn't anything special but it was a pleasant enough fluff piece (and as a previous poster said, sometimes that's exactly what you need). Loved the Dan bit, there was an air of cosy domesticity even in that brief clip which makes me happy 'cause I'm a sappy fuck.

Anybody have any thoughts on Phil’s matching socks in his new video? Not sure why he was matching and not sure how I feel about it.

There was so much I loved about that video! At first I was annoyed that it was a spon, but soon I was over it, as he was positively on fire (both in looks and bants)! Unbelievable that after 10 years he still can’t resist tackling Dan! Seems like Dan should have tackled him with him looking so good in Dan’s sweater, plus sponning more Dan merch than his own, plus his messy quiff! I would!

I don't mind a Honey spon, as I also use it quite often and it's free to get.

I really enjoyed the vid, it was just the kind of thing that I needed after a stressful day. Phil looked so good in Dan's sweater with his red brown hair
I also really enjoyed the little glimpse of their Christmas decorations while Dan was filming, it just makes me feel so soft.

That video was complete bait for me. Octopus hat, Phil's butt close ups while wearing black Dan merch and cute domestic bants in a Christmassy space. I was well fed

Dan and Phil at an art museum. There's a picture but I've only seen it in reposts and I want to try and find the original if I can.

I’m trying to care less but... logically it makes sense for Phil to film there, especially as it seems like they moved Dan’s desk and stuff to the living flat (as seen in the bts of the planet merch shoot). The corners check out for that space and good catch with the rectangular thing. The only thing that doesn’t work with that location is this:
As that’s the wall the glass door is on (though there is a section of plain wall, as seen in the still image of Dan’s filming space, which is behind their Muse poster.) The closet position is why most recently I thought it was in the gaming room, but then that doesn’t work with the second corner. So I’m stumped

I enjoyed Phil’s video, bless him for showing us that domestic interaction. Loved him in the sequin skull sweater and his hair is lovely.

There’s also a window frame you can see when he’s playing with the wooden box in the new video so I’m stumped as well

There’s a window in that position in both the gaming room and dinof space, it’s just the closet seen next to the mirror and corner next to the yarn ball sculpture that don’t work for both rooms. The closet works for gaming, corner works for dinof and neither work for AP as it has the curved corner and the closet would be behind the mirror not to the right of it. Sigh. Not that any of this matters, it just doesn’t make sense.
