I've been watching some adam mcintyre vids (do you guys know who that is? He actually does Know of the Phandom, he was a big fan of Colleen Ballinger and she totally groomed him and... well, I'm just glad he's doing his own thing now, he's creating good shit) He's been reacting to some of the dream stuff ig, his reactions are funny because he knows as much as I know about the drama i.e. nothing. But he has the perspective of being a young fan interacting w famous people older than them. I think he mentioned the dnp in one of his videos (I'm sorry I don't remember which one at all.. it was just a throwaway reference to them I think) and it always makes me go !! when anyone mentions dnp/the phandom.

Basically he was very active in fandom spaces (so, being aware of the phandom just makes sense) and rewatching some of his Colleen vids are just making me THANK god and just be so grateful for how.... normal and good dnp are? Because seeing his chats with Colleen (when he was 15ish and a big fan)... if dnp talked to ANY of us like that... of course we would do whatever they wanted. Imagine Dan just in your DMs like [omg you are so funny and i LOVE you] good god. I am just feeling grateful, because I'm no stranger to being groomed online and... it really is that easy to just not.. be weird with minors huh. (It is also that easy to exploit kids. They should be protected.)

I was thinking about how this comes purely from them being Good People. Because they too were thrust under the spotlight with no guidelines on how to interact or draw boundaries with fans. They did their best, we know this. But I was thinking about how it boils down to this: dnp did have interactions with their fans and it did get pretty sick and twisted, but only in the way that was age appropriate because dnp never made content that wasn't aimed at someone younger. They have always made content that they wanted to make, and with them, their content and humour grew. With them, we grew too. This meant that they didn't have as imbalanced a power dynamic as some of these youtubers who have knowingly or unknowingly caused harm. So yeah, Dan and us (as a whole) would butt heads, because we'd push and he'd pull and well. I found it so refreshing when Dan pointed that out in the SUIT podcast that the only beef he's had is WITH his fans ("I'm quite sensitive" oh love. oh dear. we know, and we upset him quite a bit I think, on purpose even. Honestly I still feel like I have conflicting ethics about this) anyway I'm just glad they weren't in this position where they could unknowingly hold their power over us and hurt us in any way. We did hurt each other, and that was best case scenario I suppose. It's just kind of big-brained seeing them openly acknowledge all of this. Youtube culture is super interesting and yeah dnp should have a podcast talking about things because the things they brought up.... I could write entire research papers about it..... ok goodbye who let me yap.... shopuld've signed me out when u had the chance

side note: I loved the podcast? It was such good fun, i love seeing other people laugh at dnp's jokes... they really are just funny, I'm not insane... Phil always has a good story omg.... his little comments, like "s'alright" got me rolling on the floor laughing

Great video, I love how secure PJ is in himself and their friendship that he can genuinely contemplate which one of them he would date lol. Obviously I've never suspected romantic undertones between him and Phil but I do think they are on the same page creatively in such a fun way and I see why PJ would pick him! Love the continued PJ X Sister Daniel lore as well lmao.

I've been using public timelines and this forum in the meantime, but really what I'm looking for is a decent archive of their tweets / a timeline of phandom drama. Any idea where I could find anything like that?

Ya there's got to be at least one person at dragon city who is a dnp fan (and how many employees do they have?? I'm assuming it's not a large company). I kind of think that about the board game company that sent them / sends them games as well - like someone is making some cards specifically for them.

They are not sure what DnP 2.0 is. The liberal use of air quotes around the "gaming" channel does lend credence to the possibility of it getting rebranded into just a joint channel. Or they could keep doing whatever they want on their and keep the name. I agree with Phil that DnP 2.0 was when they came back from the hiatus. Whatever comes next is 2.5 or something.
