I'm sorry, but that jacket looks atrocious to me. I guess I have a boring fashion sense.

Anyway, their ls yesterday made me happy, I love the new pastel D&P merch and I'm sad that I'll never get any, and it's only just now starting to sink in that in less than two months, on Dan's birthday, I'm going to see them in real life, like up close, hug them etc. and wow. I honestly can't wait.

Excited for the first tour spoilers!! I know I won't manage to avoid them, so I'll just dive right in.

I'm on team wear what you like, but seeing it properly on the model, nothing about that jacket looks good. I've already been scrolling mutliple sites for clothes for an hour and headdesking over all the boring plainness, floral patterns and ruffles.

I like the hoodies, though I don't pastel (also tricky on women's clothing sites). I might be persuaded by the purple one, but it's lighter and brighter than I'd usually wear. I should start a line of all indigo (properly deep purple) clothes. Maybe a bit of dark teal for variety.

They've started off well with so many snippets all in one day. That chrome extension is handy too.

Has anyone filled in the interactive questions? I have done mine for Leeds and I proper went to town with the answers which mostly included the fact we are still waiting for the tatinof cake scene and calling Dan “Mr Jo King”. I love that they specified you could be slightly offensive. I hope they pick some super funny ones instead of the usual samey things!

The only downside is that filling out that form was hella long. I wanted to do one per show but tbh I don’t have time to sit and fill that essay in

Also, that pastel D&P merch is cool but I would love one in black. I’m such a Dan and black is the only colour I wear.

Yes, I was thinking about that as well because my university uses an audience response system too but I think it'd get rather expensive if they would need to buy/rent thousands of those keypads and they're also easy to misplace.

Sorry when you mentioned this I just had flashbacks to freshman year and now I'm imagining the merch stand selling iClickers for $30 ($15 used) for anyone who wants to actually participate XD

I am devastated that I won't be able to get any of the pastel merch for the pop up shops. That baby pink is my favorite color and i love the subtlety of the "D&P" on the front. Really really hoping they end up releasing something similar online (or maybe i can find someone selling one of the pop up shop ones on ebay

)

Also I voted for "nah" on Dan's jacket insta poll. I was honestly surprised when it showed the results that only 13% agreed with me. Whoever said earlier that it looked like he was wearing a backpack -- thats what i first thought too. Then i realized it was just on the jacket-- the straps just seem kind of awkward. I don't hate it but I'm def not a fan either.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly -- those things were almost too janky to work for a class of about 50 people from my experience at university, theres no way it would work for an audience the size that would be attending Inactive Ingredients

I'm still not sure I trust them to not do insta stories for like two weeks and then completely forget about it, but either way, this first day of it has been really great. (It also got me thinking about the supposedly different liveshows they might do, and if those could be related to instagram too? it might be more tour friendly? I don't know if it would give them the revenue younow does, though.)

also I actually really liked the jacket. from the front, at least. the back is a little weird but

I care more about the fit than anything else related to Dan’s jacket... both of them have a tendency to wear jackets too short for their tall bodies.

I hope the insta stories don’t turn into an anti-phan propaganda machine... last thing I want is a repeat of tatinof... “oh, good morning everyone... let’s go see what Dan is up to in his separate hotel room on the other side of the building”.

loving the instagram stories so far and i'm glad they're actually using them and not just doing the whole one post per day thing like on twitter. though, like @huphilpuffs i'm worried they might do it steadily for a few weeks and then just....not. but i'm trying to be optimistic! i think i can deal with one video a week if they continue like this, though. but am i being optimistic by hoping we'll get a video a week?

i think they'll keep up insta stories, honestly. they're really addicting to post and once you start you can't stop (at least how i've found them). i also think they like sharing little real tidbits of themselves and their lives that aren't Dan Is Not On Fire and AmazingPhil, and insta stories allow them to connect on a smaller level.
