Yeah iirc they hadn't acknowledged the phan wedding 2k22 at all until now, and the phandom was relatively quiet about it for most of the year as well. Most got the jokes out of their system in early in January. I'm nervous lol.

'rip danandphilshop - the dramatic and very formal death of the merch shop' might also be interesting, because at this point nobody knows what's going on with IRL Merch anymore. Aside from Dan's tour merch, there have been no releases this year. There's a whole thread on Twitter compiling people trying to get into contact with them because they aren't receiving their orders, and Phandom Gives wasn't able to get into contact with them as usual either.

Yeah, and I personally think it's weird because IRL and Martyn used to have a fairly decent reputation of quickly taking care of stuff like that, afaik.
I literally just saw on the dnp subreddit someone complaining bc IRL has been ignoring their emails regarding the missing VIP merch on a show.

Maybe the IRL team being abroad and busy with touring has made them neglect the online merch aspect of business?
But also, when was the last time either of them released new merch? Like a year ago?

I missed this review at the time, but I really like it so I’m sharing it. I even learned some new words (I love when that happens). I’m not sure if the author was new to Dan or not, but she really gets him.

I really wonder what's going on at IRL. It's one thing if most of the crew was gone for tour and I think most people would understand that if they just told us. A banner on the website, a newsletter, a note in the order confirmation etc, there are many ways to inform customers and most will accept that. But once again communications is their worst skill.

Dnp didn't release anything new except tour merch, and I can't seem to find that IRL released anything new with any of the other creators either. They are still working on Hours with Lucy Moon (she talked about it in her latest tarot video because the reader said she would fall out with her business partner, but there was no tea there) but I don't know if that's big enough to take up all of their capacity.

Idk, I work in ecommerce and know first hand how difficult it can be to manage suppliers and logistics especially the past few years, but I'm quite confused about what's going on.

Yet, I have also been listening to Stereo shows recently (thank you IDB ) and the amount of times he mentions weddings and possibility of eloping... You cannot tell me they've not talked about it.

I'm not usually into the beard edits but this made some valid points. But yeah to be fair, his hair isn't naturally wavy like that so in the end it probably would end up looking more like fetus Phil.

I am sure they are enjoying some alone time after family has gone and before tour resumes but also.... I miss them.

The later added Sydney show on the 20th of January has been cancelled. That's the second added date that has been cancelled (first was Copenhagen).

I wonder if Dan's specific promo for the Warsaw show today means that it is in danger of getting cancelled as well. Like Copenhagen and Sydney it was a later added show. I hope Helsinki and Amsterdam are safe.

He really should've done more promo for those dates in the first place though, it took him a long time to announce them as well even when ticket sales had already started. But maybe his promotor just sucks idk.

Can it be a surprise that shows get canceled when they're barely advertised?? I know things circulating in the dedicated fandom can make up for a lot but it can't fill a whole venue in a specific city.

Note: a dedicated fandom on twitter. I barely saw it circulating on tumblr, and who knows if the info even reached instagram, tiktok and where ever else people hang out. The website has been terribly out of date, not showing new dates for weeks. Even a dedicated fan who wanted a ticket to a sold out show would not know about it. It makes me so sad.
