Totally random side note... I was digging through old threads (genuinely can't remember why) when I realized that the original broad announcement for TATINOF and the doc said the release would be end of November. Anyone know why it got pushed so early so quickly? And now appears to not coincide at all with UK's YoutubeRed release.
Seems fishy and explains why D&P were in the editing room all day long every day...

If it's still coming in November they obviously changed there mind about using TATINOF to help launch it because now everyone who wants it has it they aren't going to be many convinced to pay for a streaming service that gives them access to content they already have.
I always thought that the TATINOF videos were part of a marketing strategy for YTR which does make it odd that they were released so early. I guess it could be to cover up the lack of the Europe tour, but it may also just have something to do with YTR. Are there any statistics about how many people are using it in the countries where it is available? I am currently using my free trial, and was surprised to find that there are only like 14 YTR originals, most of which I have no interest in whatsoever. Maybe they're post-poning the launch in some countries until they have a bit more to offer. Where it stands at the moment you could easily watch the things you want to during your free trial.

One of my fave vids and blushings of Dan is the scratch and sniff challenge. (on mobile someone link it for me ) he is just so awkward at the beginning and just bright red... then at the end so red. Also I just love how they figure out who is who. Not by hair, but by how the face/neck feels and chest and shoulders, and hands I love watching the reflection and Alled's reaction...

Fanfiction live, a response to your probably legitimate objections:
Dan’s character is increasing horrified by every development. I admit that. He sees where the situation is going and is not happy about it.
However, I think you could argue that his character is bothered by the fact that he’s being forced into these situations for the gratification of a screaming audience, rather than because he’s with another man, or because he’s with Phil.
Phil’s character doesn’t seem bothered by any of it. He’s consistently happy to go along with the script.
1:21:13 Narrator: “their eyes met, as Dan began to slowly unbutton his shirt”
Dan: “woah! Woah woah woah woah woah! Can we just pause that right here for a second?”
Phil: “oh, but I was enjoying my drawing”
Dan: “okay guys. You know what? I’m sorry. I don’t want to solve the mystery. I don’t care who’s behind all of this. I just don’t want to do this *points to script* any more!”
He’s just been effectively ordered to undress in front of hundreds (or thousands) of people. There is no fourth wall in this show. The characters know they are being watched. If he’d been ordered to embrace Phil, or look deeply into his eyes, and had refused because “no this is too weird!”, that would be a no-homo. This isn’t. This is an objection to being controlled to the point that it becomes degrading.
To people who were bothered by the way they wrote the fanfiction section, what would you have found more respectful to the fanfiction community? A pastel-punk AU re-enacted on stage? Them adopting the dil-doll together?
I think earlier today someone requested the exact words from something Dan said in a liveshow, but I can’t remember who you were, or what you asked for. I meant to look for it for you, but I didn’t make a written note of it and then I forgot. Sorry. (what a useless addition to the post.)

As I've said in my initial post, they could have put something in the end that could objectively be viewed as a squick to react to, like the daddy kink, or anything from a shock fic (which was the case with the skin fic in Tumblr tag video), or repeat what Dan did in that old video of his about fanfiction where he was offended by his favorite pokemon being goldeen. Or be more explicit about the discomfort being the presence of an audience. I would've been completely ok with any of that.
Dan wants to be understood. Phil just wants to make the viewer smile and sell some backpacks (c) fancybum

Yeah, it's unlisted on YT. I remember asking for the link so I looked in my inbox and watched it again, it's said sort of sarcastically and nonchalantly, and he sounds like he was quoting someone. It's like "pfft, love you and your bird nose".
