Maybe that picture frame AC was from the filming flat too... it does sorta fit with the modern (almost aggressively so) aesthetic of the filming flat.

Phil also said there’ll be snow in London, so they haven’t moved out of the city yet (not that it’s confirmed they will ultimately). So, forever home must still be getting ready. Phil also might be making a show of “filming” areas of the filming flat so they can maximize their tax deductions by calling it a working space—that’s my guess at least.

So is that the only Christmas tree we’re gonna see this year? lol it wouldn’t even surprise me. More and more convinced they’re currently staying in the filming flat and are waiting to move.

Still waiting for those personal adventures to be shared, Phil.

I was 99.8% sure the weird AC/art thing was in the filming flat (the lamp in the reflection... looks familiar). But now I'm 100% sure, given this recent IG story.

ALSO maybe Phil's showing us all weird new angles because he can't show us the normal angles because of how much crap is being stored there right now?

A thought.

Sometimes I read back my own shit and realize I sound like a total tin-hatty conspiracy theorist.... But like... Dan and Phil are a fringe case where shit like this has happened before and will happen again~*~*

They've definitely bought a home, and that's definitely the personal adventure, it's just whether or not it being a doer-upper as part of the adventure or not, I think is the only major guess work left.
I also agree that air con was the filming flat, where they're currently staying, and just not something he's really used/noticed much before.

All's left is the big reveal from Phil as Dan said would happen!

While it makes a lot of sense, it's very interesting to me that they def seem to be staying in the filming flat because with Dan's hinty tweets I had assumed that we would be getting some announcement/talk from them (Phil) soon. However I can't imagine that happening until they're actually in their new place, since saying 'we've moved' now, while still obviously having/living in the filming flat would make it obvious (not that it was particularly not obvious lmao) that they never lived there to begin with. And I have been assuming that part of moving for them would be being able to leave the whole 2 flat theory behind without having to address it.

Oof I know what it feels like to be half-assing Christmas because of a move. We will be closing on our current house on the 21st and while we will be allowed to stay a week into the new year, we’re going to be busy packing and moving things into storage and to my parent’s house. I wish we had a forever home waiting to be finished up, but we will be looking for a townhome/condo to live in for the next six years (until our kid graduates) while we save money not having a mortgage for a couple months (just a fraction of what they were paying for rent on the other place I imagine). While I do hope they can move in before Christmas it is very amusing to see new parts of the filming flat, especially elements that Phil has only just discovered. Adventure indeed

Dan’s mentioned in this YouTube article

The article says “2020 has put a spotlight on the dynamism of creators and artists all over the world and certainly, in the UK. Creators adapted their process, reinvented their formats and found new audiences as the world looked for information, entertainment and community online throughout the COVID-19 pandemic” and I am not trying to start discourse (this time) but?? It would’ve made more sense for Phil to be involved in that instead of Dan, considering that Phil is still active on the platform and Dan isn’t??

Dan seems to have a good relationship with YouTube but every time he works with them it reminds me of that co-worker that spends all their time talking up the boss instead of working and they end up becoming your boss.

I do wonder how long he’s watched Jessica because he just started following her Instagram account a couple of weeks ago but it’s nice to see Jessica’s channel get some recognition.

Does leave me wondering if any actual content is going to come from this. The article doesn’t really make it clear

Dan's involvement in anything to do with YouTube nowadays strikes me as a little odd and disingenuous, buuuuut he's hyping up Jessica who is lovely and amazing and deserves the world, so good on him for using his YouTuber status for her. He's obviously still YouTube's favorite.

I don't think either really fit the campaign and I don't get why Dan would agree to do it, he must realise people will side eye it. No hate to Dan but there's a lot more people deserving of being in that picture right now.

To Dan's credit I would consider him an established pioneer of youtube but the part in the article that glitterintheair quoted...it's like yeah where?? A few videos for a magazine in the last year? I don't doubt he's been working - he just hasn't been working on youtube in forever lol

But whatever I'm here for the mlm/wlw solidarity woo :prideflag:

also i hate the pants he's wearing

I think it makes a lot of sense from the angle of 'older/established youtuber promotes newer creator.' I don't recognize many of the other content creators on there but I don't think not having made a video in the past year discounts all of Dan's experience with growing an audience, and coming from the perspective of someone who had to learn authenticity and a balance for mental health... idk it does very much fit for me.

I'm interested to see what they're actually doing, though. Is this something youtube is utilizing for content themselves or is it actually just a mentorship between the creators?

Oh, so people think they're doing something other than what we've seen (i.e., asking big youtubers to choose rising stars and spotlighting them on their blog)? They frame it as a launch, so at first I thought it was meant to be a series (with more big youtubers choosing more rising stars in the future) but then it emphasizes 10, so I guess not. But all they say they're doing is celebrating and spotlighting British YouTube talent, which it seems like they've done, so I wasn't expecting anything more. I guess since it's YouTube, maybe there'll be videos?

Besides the fact that Dan behind featured is laughable but I'm very confused by their definition of new, rising creator. Like, I'm thrilled that Dan is featuring Jessica because she's fucking amazing (and she's wearing the same dress she had during the Vidcon m&g when I saw her <3) but she's been incredibly active and well know for at least a couple of years?? Like I'm kinda confused why they're making it sound like she's super new when she's been established with her own audience for years now.

According to this article the YouTube campaign will be on the official YouTube blog and the creators socials so it doesn’t sound like there will be video content

I'm just gonna take a moment to scream into the voice about what an instant mood lift seeing Dan and seeing him interact with people really is to me. I'm excited for Phil's beard video. I'm excited for the outfit picking video. I'm excited for the future podcast/streams/whatever you call them. I'm excited for Dan's book even though next May sounds forever away. I'm excited for whatever content he has coming in 2021.

Obviously there are things to nitpick and critique with all of that, and like - we're gonna. That's who we are. That's what we do. But underneath everything else, I'm sappily grateful for these rich white dudes that give me the sweet sweet serotonin/adrenaline hit.

Damn, he looks good and yay Jessica though yeah, she’s well established. I don’t mind him being involved vs lack of content, past experience counts. Yay his channel next year.

Okay, I was a little confused at first, but this take plus Dan's mysterious future plans reply make sense.

I am also excited...to be excited? I am not especially invested in any one of the projects dnp have going on right now, but it just feels like things are happening, and that's a really good feeling. I am here for anything, just glad to see projects coming to fruition!
