Most recent realization: they are sat that way so that Dan could get the proper selfie angle of them with the court in the background in the right order. Duh. Or umm they just sat there I guess.

They were sponsored by Instagram precisely to take selfies / to be seen (by an online audience) at the event. It's all part of the spon plan.

Sidenote: I love how Daniel has his drink on with the Pimms, while it appears that Phil is drinking some sort of sweet confection that requires a domed lid. /speculation

Can't believe y'all spotted them on TV/some Phans that were actually at the final saw them in the crowd and took creepshots I was too blind/engrossed in the match to find them, I was desperate to take an exclusive pic for IDB as well (since I'm not present anywhere else in the Phandom). They were obviously a looooot further forward than me though!

I was surprised how casual their outfits were but they did both look lovely.

P.S. all the drinks had domed lids so am assuming Phil had Pimms too, uglyamerican!

I had an amazing time thanks autumnhearth! Seeing a Wimbledon final was literally on my bucket list! Drank loads of Pimms and ate loads of strawberries so I truly was living my best life... the only thing that could have made it better was if Nadal was playing (or I'd spotted the boys )!

Good point on the tennis game idea. Nintendo might not have it for the Switch yet, but there's a hilarious tennis game with the Mario cast all with special moves, it looks a lot of fun. Best tennis game had to be by the electronics company Philips back in 1993 where you played as Victor Player. There are fancy ones with the star players in too.

I have made a few friends from the phandom who don't live in London, so when we met up I took them on “Dan and Phil tour” of London as we were shopping in the area and I knew the areas pretty well. They really enjoyed it so I decided to sit down and properly map out some routes for both of the London DITL’s so that other people in the phandom could enjoy it. I included all of the stops in the videos bar ones near their flat (obviously because that would be weird).

I've finally finished the route from the first london day in the life and I'll put the images under a spoiler. If anyone is coming to London any time soon then try it out and let me know if it's good! I'm doing the Festive DITL now, but it'll take about 2 weeks because mapping it out does take some time! (i know, i seem to have too much time on my hands, but it's just a bit of fun).

Please do I'm just working on the festive DITL map now - I even know which sofa they sat on because I go there quite a bit so will try and put the exact one on there! I've taken two lots of friends to the same place and they loved taking a selfie on the sofa and recreating the tree!

This is "Game of Thrones" new season debut night here in the US (and I'm assuming in the UK,) so there are themed parties to attend - perhaps that might toss a wrench in the works (I may or may not be going to one after "War For the Planets of the Apes" later this afternoon.)

What I need is someone to map out the Japhan DITL as I'm going to Tokyo soon and fully intend to visit all the sights featured!

Go for it, Traf. Square is definitely worth going to as it's a really nice place (plus you can see the big thumb that Phil bought a replica of), same with Leicester Square gardens, nice places to people watch.

I'll get the Festive one up as soon as it's finished, then you have two to do you could easily do both on the same day as they arent that far apart from each other. Glad you liked it (already been called creepy on tumblr - not sure why seeing as the places are all tourist spots, even the BBC has a tour and a cafe which is open to the public).
