Hiiii! I'm one of those gg lurkers, since June of last year. My laptop was fucked up for a month and I finally returned to see that hell was unleashed. Glad I found where everyone mirgrated to! (So I can continue to creepily read everything from the shadows lol.) But I still want to introduce myself:

-- My name is Erika
-- I just turned 21
-- I saw tonssss of D&P gifs on tumblr back in 2013 and they clogged up my dashboard so much that I was so annoyed of them. I knew who Phil was but never watched his videos, never knew who Dan was. Back in June I was bored, one of their gifs popped back up and I was like "OK, I'll go see what the fuss is about." I watched the Easter baking video and then my descent began. Which honestly happened at a good time, as I went through something incredibly difficult in September and watching their videos gave me some much needed laughs/comfort.
-- I didn't assume Dan and Phil were "together" until I saw all the Phan youtube comments. And me, being shipping trash, ate that shit up and stumbled onto the gg thread.
-- None of my friends are into D&P, or youtubers in general.
-- I saw Fall Out Boy over the summer when they were on tour with Wiz Khalifa, and Wiz Khalifa almost ran into me. Close enough that his bodyguard smacked me out of the way.
-- I think I consume half my body weight in chocolate on a regular basis. It hurts so good.
-- I should be sleeping right now because I have to work today :'D

Hey I just noticed your reply here asking about my daughter. My phan activity is partially secret (from her, although I get a lot of side-eye from my husband about it as I often find myself discussing my theories with him after a glass or two of wine. But, yes, I have a rule with my daughter that I watch a video she wants to watch before her to see if I approve. She only really watches LDShadowlady and alike as she's a minecraft and Sims addict (and a few crafting channels). She stumbled across Dan and Phil games for obvious reasons so only ever watches the more lighthearted gaming videos of theirs. She doesn't ask to watch DINOF really as the titles/thumbnails don't appeal to her/go over her head. She has asked to watch some AP though. And usually those are quite safe really aren't they? But she often quotes things Dan says on the gaming channel totally out of context so sometimes I do question my own parenting decisions. (The Tabitha 'Dirty Hoe' comments etc. really hit home with me for this reason. . .

I love reading all your discussions and you all seem very friendly and welcoming so I wanted to register on this site for the past 3 weeks but... somehow I still felt too intimidated
To be fair I'm ever so slightly hungover right now, which probably influenced my decision to finally join in on the discussion. So I guess that's my first fact for you: I gain courage when I'm hungover

- I'm totally addicted to coffee. At this point I'm totally desensitized, it doesn't even work for me, but I just love the smell, the taste, and the whole ritual so much that I drink it anyway.
- I once wrote an academicc essay about one of Dan's videos. It was utter garbage but at least I had some fun while writing it.

And this thread reminded me that I hate avocados with a burning passion.

Hi there!

So I stumbled upon GG a while back when I was looking for info on Dan's clothes (don't judge me) and landed on one of the earlier D&P threads there. Tried to go through all of them to catch up (didn't get even close lol) and also lurked on the latest thread but never joined until the drama happened and they closed the D&P boards for people w/o accounts. So I signed up for GG and then realized a couple days later that everybody moved here whoops. I actually signed up here immediately after I learned about the GG drama but still lurked for a bit to catch up here. So far I like it better than GG even though it's mostly the same people idk why the atmosphere seems nicer.

Anyway, for the game part:
-Avocados are the best fucking fight me (ok I would probably say that irl too so maybe it doesn't count)
-Everybody and their mom realized that I'm gay before I did
-I took up economics after high school because I thought that's what I'm supposed to do and it'd make me get a job after uni but it really only made me 10x more stressed out and depressed and it's just not at all what I want to do so 6 semesters later I dropped out and now I have no idea what I'm doing with my life help
-I procrastinate 90% of my life and then panic about it the other 10%
-I've watched the LOTR movies (extended edition) like 50 times
-I now ship 3 incest(ish) pairings and I'm really worried about my life choices or what that says about me
-I'm addicted to video games but I kinda suck at playing them

There's probably much more I could say about me but I can't really think of anything rn that I wouldn't say irl

- I started watching Phil in 2009 looking for Toxic covers but I've stopped watching him, Dan and Youtube in general, in 2012...got back into D&P, youtube etc in October after a break up....
- I'm about to graduate (master degree) but I'm quite struggling writing my final dissertation, cos tbh I don't like the topic

Actually it's the only Dan's video I've never watched, cos even the thumbnail is gross to me....but I will give it a try just to remove Nutella from my thoughs for good...

Hey all, been lurking around here for a few days desperately avoiding my dissertation, which is due in about two weeks (luckily I only have to finish the last chapter and add some pretty graphs buuuuut ~procrastination~).

For the game:
-I'm Bi and in an open marriage (yea, not exactly something I'd share around the workplace )
-I've been active in fandom and writing fan fiction for an eternity. Seriously watching it go from something that was not discussed and sharing fic was akin to making a drug deal to what it's become today still blows my mind.
-I just realized I have been deep into anime for 20 years now
-I have gotten way deeper into Dan and Phil than I will ever comfortable admit aloud to others in my normal field.

-I met Dan and Phil at a VIP Playlist Live party last February before I lurked much on GG. I didn't really know about Dan yet, and I went straight up to Phil and asked for a selfie because I am shameless, but I totally blanked Dan and made an ass out of myself.
-I have never ridden a rollercoaster because they scare the shit out of me
-I think I'm addicted to this fandom an unhealthy amount, but I love some of the people within it!
