Now I wanna mention the dream I had last night because it felt too real

i dreamed that Dan posted the trailer and it was filmed DITL style of a show, so a mix of tatinof documentary and ditl. I don't remember all of it, but I remember that it ended with a frame of a hotel room, the camera facing a big window with light coming in and in the frame was the lower part of a double bed where you could see two sets of legs under a sheet and the beginning of two shirtless chests, one of them with glasses laying on it, clearly deppy. It was just silent and then the frame faded to "Dan and Phil will see you in America"

It felt so real that when I woke up I checked all of their channels to see if it was actually posted, I'm still shooketh about it

YouTube has not had a great year in general with mess up after mess up.
We’ve spoken before about issues with subs and notifications on new videos.
Since YouTubes changes it’s becoming harder to get new audiences attention as you won’t trend if the algorithms deem anything even remotely inappropriate. And videos being unfairly demonetised or copyright striked is tanking channels. (As most gaming, history and LGBT channels will tell you.)

I’ve heard a bunch of channels discuss this, (though i admit I mostly watch gamers) even big one’s like Jacksepticeye have been hit by it. Though I bet the financial impact for the big names hasn’t been anywhere near as bad as it has for lower/ mid tier youtubers.
Game Theory announced changes last night because one of their main contributors views was being affected too much.

On top of that between people like Pewdiepie and the Paul brothers scandals and YouTubes refusal to take action is giving the platform a bad rep. Even stories like Zoella’s calander, Alfie’s recent mess up, and Jack Maynard whose past tweets got dragged up have not been good press. Their behaviour makes it embarrassing to say you’re a YouTuber.
Given the way things are going I can understand why those who want a career in music, radio or television etc try to distance themselves from the site that gave them their fame. Because otherwise people won’t take them seriously.

Now anti gay ads have been playing on LBGT creators channels and control is being taken away bit by bit from the creators.

YouTubes really been trying to use algorithms to solve its problems rather than putting any time or resources towards solving the actual issues it has and it’s upsetting everyone.

No platform lasts forever, and no company to big to fall. Just ask myspace.
All it takes is for another Facebook or Twitch to come and steal your crown and enough big names to jump ship

My heart did a lil' jump when I realised they now own Detroit: Become Human, it's such a beautiful and great game. I'm not quite sure whether they'll actually play it on the gaming channel though because I vaguely remember Dan not wanting to play Life Is Strange (which is also an interactive movie game like Detroit: Become Human) on DAPG because we'd analyze the choices they'd make too much or something along those lines. And didn't he also say he regretted not playing Undertale by himself or something? Not to mention, it's quite a long game (especially with commentary) so even if they tried to make a series of it, I don't think they'd be able to finish it in time. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that I would absolutely loooooove to see them play it and hear their thoughts on it. I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope that they'll mention it during a liveshow. I'm also still quite curious as to whether they actually got around to filming a gaming series and if yes, what they've played.

Anyway... trailer today?

Okay this is mostly off topic but kind of relevant because of their recent Queer Eye mentions and likes.

Antoni (Queer Eye) gave the most Dan answer to a question including the phrase 'existential angst'. The question starts at 01:30:30 but I actually recommend the entire interview.


I find it interesting that Dan seems to identify the most with Antoni who doesn't label himself and seems to still be growing into his sexuality. Antoni was even in a poly relationship once (attitude magazine).

Then again Dan could just find him hot. I mostly find him adorable and live his relationship with Tan.
