Dan publicly supports Sanders, thus he is a sanders girl (this term being a joke of course). He follows his two official Twitter accounts and in a LS back in August, he said the following:

i thought he was cool, but i definitely did not want to hit it. he was very full on and freaked 12year old jaej the fuck out. it's definitely offputting to younger teens in every way but being a cool, untouchable kind of person, and that doesnt really work foe youtube, that's the opposite of what it should be.

tbh looking back i think it's never really been a "natural" thing from him, and it still isn't something id feel fully comfortable with now that i don't exactly find 21 year olds that aspirational unless they're, you know, on a level a little bit higher that phil in 2009.
when you see how strong and forced and constant it was between the videos where every one has those comments and he will always pull his shirt down and there's the dailybooths with ripped trousers or he's shirtless and there's the constant "im single btw date me!!" it does not come across as natural when it was sooo present. it was just an act he carried off pretty well, so probably a serious exaggeration of himself. him then feels like one of those dudes who's finished uni but still shows up at highschool parties and isn't doing anything wrong enough to ask him to leave but you're still weirded out because he keeps giving vague references to his penis

if 2012 ap is a 1 and early 2009 ap is a 10 in terms of sex obsession, real phil is probably about a 6.5

Coming out of hibernation for one hot second to say that I don't know about everybody but my present self definitely would. Although jaej has a point that it doesn't ring entirely "natural". But doesn't put me off, at least not watching it right now (didn't watch him in 2009 so can't really know what my reaction would've been back then)
But there are still moments when 2016!Phil has it in him for me.

Hahaha I love this response. For me it's funny because he knows exactly what that person is suggesting and he decides to reply to it. It comes off (to me) as witty and a little sarcastic. Which is something I wish Phil would show more.

Haha jaej... I definitely didn't think he was too full-on back then, but I was also sixteen at the time and he wasn't nearly the sluttiest person on YouTube (here's looking at you Daniel.) But even now I think he seemed fairly tame....just more, you know, of a real human with a normal libido.
