I’m so confused by that tweet and I feel dumb. A play on words of faggot seems like a cruel thing to call a person. Everyone else thinks it’s funny though. I don’t get the joke help me. Is it just a play on words of faggot?

I think it's dark humor. You could go as far as saying that it's a word play on fatigue (tiredness) since it's about breakfast but I am pretty sure it's not.
The kind of thing that you find funny but also problematic. Like reddit's ImGoingToHellForThis.

For me, it's the combination of everything that makes it funny. First, it's a reply to Dan's tweet, a word play on hoe which can also be considered cruel, but since he referred to himself, it's fine. Then it's the parody account itself. Great concept, very clever, and very in-character as the French Dan. And because it rhymes with baguette which.. wow.

@LtrllySusan @obvsly Thank you both for explaining. I’m getting that it just doesn’t line up with my sense of humor and I haven’t missed anything huge, like that it’s a song lyric or faguetté is some fancy type of coffee I’ve never heard of, which is what I wanted to know.

This is a pretty good point, I think. Officially coming out would also make it obvious to casual watchers who might not have caught on yet since they don't watch every video, might not follow him on Twitter and so on. Or maybe he just doesn't want a big coming out. Coming out is not important to all lgbtq people, our happiness doesn't always depend on it. Dan has spoken about living his truth but that doesn't mean sharing his truth with the whole world, right? I personally think he is done hiding but that doesn't have to affect what he chooses to put online. We don't really know what he does in private, if his real life friends and family know, etc. I think that would be way more important to most people than telling their internet fanbase.

Baguette joke: Eh, I don’t think it‘s funny but I have no idea who runs that account. If it’s a straight person throwing around homophobic slurs, can they not? But maybe they’re not, no idea. But I’m convinced Dan is a mlm so I think it’s okay he liked it. That’s how reclaiming works after all, you take a slur that is meant to hurt you and you use it proudly or make fun of it. So I’m on the fence about the original tweet but I can’t say I blame Dan for liking it.

Idk I think she’s a member of a different Room Service Club if you know what I mean (No I’m not actually implying anything about her sexuality/relationships, I’m just trying to be funny and probably failing because it needs background info: Yesterday she posted a story on Instagram that it was the final meeting of the ‘ii room service club’ it was a photo of four breakfasts, probs the merch team. Just saying, Dan and Phil have their own room service club and it’s just them).

The terrible French might be part of the point, or they’re just ignorant/don’t care enough. I think the ‘hon hon’ is a really stupid not even sterotype of a French man’s laugh? (Like ‘ha ha”.) I can picture a chariciture, but I have no idea where it comes from. That part rubs me the wrong way and all the socialist and communist mentions, but whatever.

According to google it’s 2am on Wednesday in Australia right now. So far I think the Rize shows have been midday in whatever time zone dnp have been in on Tuesday/Thursday. Might be wrong though. I’m taking my headphones to work with me just in case.

Oh my thought was they were at the airport getting ready to board. I guess we will find out at some point today. It's only 2am right now in Australia so we probably won't find out until much later. Also I wonder how they will do livestreams because they can't be at the same time they were originally doing them, hopefully they learn how to give ample warning but look who I'm talking about.
