I have said all along though, the reduction in their live shows was a pre-planned way to ease us into the drought this time. These boys (& their management) are clever.

I can’t imagine they are going to pre-film enough content for 6 months worth of tour, yes they’ll probably film some videos whilst they’re away but seeing as Interactive Introverts starts in almost 2 weeks and we are still waiting for any information from that I’ll just be over here hoping that I’m proved wrong on all counts.

Same tbh, D&P sound so confident whenever they say there's gonna be lots of content/videos but I dunno... I'm sure they're working very hard on the tour but neither of them have really indicated that they've been pre-filming stuff and they'd need at least about 20 videos if they wanted to upload something to the gaming channel once a week. And then there's their main channels... I think Phil might be able to film a few things in his hotel and do at least one DITL (please!!) but Dan? Mr. Aesthetic filming all of his high quality videos in a hotel room? I know he managed to do it for his exams video but still. I hope that he's already got whatever video he wants to upload in June planned out because otherwise I fear he might push it back.

I wasn't a fan yet during TATINOF, so I don’t really know what that time was like. I'm sure the tour and IG stories will be nice but I think I'll be craving some videos too and especially casual viewers will probably not care much for tour-related content.

Hm, all three videos that got over a million views got their views pretty quickly. The CAH video, for example, had 750-800k views after 24 hours. I think the main reason why certain videos do better than others and why casual viewers click on them is a combination of the game they're playing, the title of the video and the thumbnail, not necessarily the time in-between uploads (though rewatches do contribute to overall view count, of course).

You know during the early stages of TATINOF, the U.K. tour stage it was fine. It was a new and exciting stage show, their own m&g and it was fun reading reviews and seeing the photos of people meeting them. The US leg came months after so there had been content in between to begin with so it was fine, again there was reviews, they changed the show ever so slightly, m&g and hundreds of photos but then after the first couple of weeks the stories were kinda the same and the photos were the same (Hello side shot Dan and Phil behind) and for me, it got boring very quickly. People were really complaining about the drought; but then we were used to regular (weekly) liveshows and more twitter content I think so when they dropped them (after promising they would try to continue them because they had a tour bus with WiFi) it was a literal tumbleweed. The Australian leg happened again months later and was short, so no one really mentioned a drought; plus there was fan drama with people waiting for them at airports. Then Europe was the end and again was very short.

Let’s see what happens this time, I am one of those people that @alittledizzy mentioned, mainly here for the content. Of course I am also here as I am a fan of them in general, but if they don’t put out content I could get bored very easily. There is only so many m&g reviews (omg they were so tall/Dan said he liked my hair/shirt/he has long arms so took the photo) before it gets slightly tedious. I really hope we get a lot of fan reviews of the show here though, I really enjoy reading them as seeing different perspectives of the show and could make it less boring. I guess they have said each show will also be different with minimal rehearsals as it won’t be so scripted. 6 months in one block is a lonnnnnnng time though, I really hope I can be proved wrong.

ETA: I'm gonna elaborate on my hopes. I want a "DITL: Tour Rehearsal" where they start out grabbing breakfast at Starbucks or something and head out to their rehearsal space. Perfect tie-in to promo and potential IG stories.

Think ‘ditl done because they’re doing something interesting and decide to film one’ vs ‘ditl filmed because viewers told them to so they fit it into all the other things they’re doing just to get it over with’. If they do one now that’ll be their 1 for the year. Is that what you want?? IS IT??1? Ok but now I don’t know if I should expect them doing a bunch of things to possibly half ass but in a funny way (which is what I’ve been expecting) or if they only chose one to go all in on. Like if they did hypothetically listen to the ditl suggestions, would they actually do a ditl, or just like a parody of one because comedy show? I’m suddenly stressed.

I'm cackling because literally any version of "ISG" is probably better than Dan's actual ISGs and I'd actually die to have "Interactiveintroverts Stageshow Gothrough" be the replacement.

Ok, time for my #reallyunpopularPOV: I don't think Dan and Phil ever meant to make DITLs yearly. I think that happened coincidentally and now they're stuck with that unintended schedule because fans decided so. And if I'm wrong and there's a liveshow or video where Dan they've said otherwise, please point me that way.

That being said, I think every ditl is just a one-off video that they've put some level of heart into, requested or not, and it's been long enough to where the format is fresh and they don't need to half-ass anything. Especially not if they're in the midst of something they've never chronicled before: tour rehearsal. And just making it a tour rehearsal would mean we miss out on like... walking-through-london time and go-home-and-sit-on-couch time and their questionable opinions on food and drink throughout the day. These are things I want and things we haven't had since Australia.

For me the ideal ditl is, in part, the uninteresting parts of their day and that's what I want and that's why this combo sounds so appealing rn. Because we can get the "fresh" stuff they think needs to be in a ditl (tour rehearsal) alongside that domestic mineral we crave.

In conclusion, #TeamDITL. And, if the yearly schedule is in fact non-existent... #TeamDITLNowToMakeUpFor2017andDITLLaterThisYearOnTour

they could set up a camera facing a wall on their terrace and do a 5 hour live stream which highlight would be phil's hand appearing hourly to fill a bird feeder, with like only five pigeons even showing up during the stream, and i would still be happy and watch it from start to finish.

I have extremely high standards. Only yesterday I watched 'Dan Dan Ham' on a loop for 4 minutes. Quality Threshold and all that

personally I wouldnt watch such a thing unless it involved morse code, for example,
