phil being better at a game than dan fills me with a weird satisfaction. however, i think the three-part series of quick draw and google feud nicely ties back to someone here (i don't remember who it was, sorry!) mentioning they'd like to see a "dan and phil vs." rather than "dan vs. phil" -- their strengths lie in really different places and it's naturally difficult to find games where both of them can put their own strengths to use and compete at eye-level. (phil's bad at quick draw for the exact same reason why he's good at google feud.) i'd love to seem them play more games where dan can keep the controller and do the walking and fighting if he pleases (phil seems to be fine with it), but where there is a storyline/mysteries/riddles/decisions for them to work together to sort out. to see them team up against someone else would just be the beautiful continuation of that which we might never get to see, but i want to believe that one day i'll see that "water -- english channel!" psychic connection in a game of charades.

i liked the new video, still! the ending gave me beautiful flashbacks to the easter baking although i don't understand why this would be phil's go-to reaction to someone trying to feed him.

Just wanted to express some incoherent feels about today's video. I loved Phil throughout, he looked incredible, was hilariously better at the game and as always an amazing complement to Dan's adorable screamy outbursts. Their domestic bants, the familiarity and ease with each other hurts my heart every time Although, its sad that they had to explain that Dan wasn't actually bullying Phil

I loved and laughed aloud at how self aware they seemed throughout at their #spon, phanservice etc. I thought it was healthy comedy and not quite mocking/aimed at the shippers. Reminded me of how similar it was to Dan feeding Phil in their ls two months ago and they acted in almost exactly similar ways. It felt like acknowledging/accepting the audience in a giving-you-what-you-want without fully letting-you-in manner. Or maybe Dan is exploring how far they can push the PDA apart from not inserting himself next to Phil's cheek constantly (jk ignore this vomit, I'm tired and trash )


Overall, love the video, feeling extremely spoiled and way too optimistic for this year to come

Has anyone been paying attention to the Youtube Glitch? Seems like a lot of Youtubers are losing subscribers. Felix is losing hundreds of subscribers every 2 seconds, yikes. But it seems it's only affected Dan and not Phil/gaming channel. Dan had like 6,268,894 and now he's down to 6,268,025

Phil seems to react as though he's expecting Dan to do something other than just feed him - which makes me wonder if there are unused takes from videos or just actual moments from real life where Dan trolls him like that, leans in close under the guise of feeding and then does something else. (Poke, tickle, kiss idk, insert whatever your phan-belief interaction level would consider realistic.)

From what I've read if someone clicks unsub it's taking two off the accounts subscriber count meaning trolls are having a field day clicking sub and unsub to the same account for hours to watch the numbers go down.
However unless I'm understanding wrong I don't think it's anything to worry about because it doesn't sound like people who didn't click to be unsubbed are actually being unsubscribed so once they fix the glitch in theory all accounts should go back to wherever they were before.

Ohhh I loved that video! I think it was my favourite that they've uploaded this year, the editing was really snappy and their bants were great and god they're adorable

I loved that Phil was more assertive than usual, I felt he really carried the video. Also Dan had definitely eaten some of that green powder Martyn gave Phil haha

Other topics that we've moved on from but I missed out on due to being Australian and sleeping:

- Make A Wish: how lovely!!! I hope Zoe had the best day ever, I'm so glad she got her wish and I wish her the absolute best

- Weight talk: I'm so uncomfortable by all the talk of Dan needing to make a dietary change or whatever. He's not fat by any means but even if he was who gives a shit?? It's not anyone's place to criticise his weight, and as someone who's incredibly insecure about my weight it's so disheartening to read.

I feel like that's actually the point a lot of people were trying to make, and the whole debate ends up being a miscommunication where someone says "I don't enjoy Dan's sense of humor being so harsh" and all other people hear "I think Dan being mean hurts Phil."

Of course, I'm sure there are people who thought Dan was being mean to Phil and it hurt Phil, and those are the people Dan was addressing. But on here I felt like I saw more people just commenting on not always liking Dan's humor. Phil is obviously not bothered by the ~bantz but I definitely still feel like it's the right of the people watching as viewers to not like or not like that humor, no matter what Phil thinks of it. (Just like some people don't like Dan screaming, or Phil feigning ignorance about innuendo.)

Don't have much to contribute, but I swear the "there were 8 and I only had ONE" conversation is completely plagiarized from my parents. My mom has repeated the same complaint against my dad so many times I can't count. Basically that scene is the definition of marriage in my mind. (He's never gonna change, Dan, get used to buying extras of things you want to keep for later and hiding them.)

I really enjoyed today’s DAPG! I have a bunch of here and there thoughts about it.

Their PSA in the middle had me giggling, but it is also kind of sweet that Dan especially seems to want to make sure the phans (particularly younger ones, I’m guessing) understand what’s going on between the two of them and aren’t upset by it. Something similar came up in his last DINOF too, with the “I hope you’re not sad” comment. He really does seem to have a soft spot for his fellow sensitive folks and it’s nice to see him go out of his way even if some might see what he’s doing as excessive or unnecessary.

That being said…I have some thoughts about the “painful” Google searches that I’m putting under a trigger warning (death/suicide).
Now back to the lighter side of things….

Dan’s wavy hair report. He’s keeping it going! I know in the past he’s worn it that way for a while only to start saying it looks terrible and press it again, but those curls are still going strong. It’s almost like he’s grown into it now and it suits him very, very nicely.

Phil’s pale pale skin was hurting my eyes a bit again… Dan’s too, tbh. Good thing spring will spring soon, those boys need some vitamin D.

I feel odd saying this but are Phil’s eyes extra-pretty to anyone else lately? Maybe it’s aging, maybe it comes with the territory of him being more relaxed and doing less of the unblinking staring thing (which I adored too, as you know) but they almost sparkle nowadays. Maybe he’s just really enjoying himself and it shows

The last minute and fifteen seconds was my absolute favorite thing they’ve done together so far this year. The playfulness of it, the way they just went for the whole feeding thing (yet it didn’t feel as “is this what you f*cking wanted?” as some of the ones they’ve done in the past), they both just seemed so comfortable and natural and that makes me smile.

I do hope we see Philly tomorrow though I may or may not be wistfully soaking in a hot tub somewhere when he does it and have to catch up later

yeah i agree with this. i thought the quick draw video was funny and i did enjoy it, but at the same time, it made me uncomfortable hearing dan be so critical. which, before someone says something, i know he was joking and i don't think phil was offended, but i'm just saying that, as a viewer, it did upset me hearing that type of thing. (and also i don't think dan normally is like this, i only really noticed it in the quick draw video for recent gaming videos).

and obv dan shouldn't change his speech or tone of voice bc some people who watch his videos don't like it. the reason i'm even bringing this up is bc i think alittledizzy's point is valid that some people, especially outside of the tumblr phil lester defense squad types, could just feel uncomfortable with hearing harsh criticism from a youtuber they like - it's not necessarily about "dan being mean to phil" (which is ridiculous imo, dan could never )

Dan and Phil coming back to Australia so soon for the Amplify thing made me wonder how much they would be getting paid to do this and the ticket prices just made me wonder more how much they are paying to get all of these people.

A general admission ticket that only lets you into the venue, so no perks is $65 for early release, $75 for second release. Then a meet and greet for an unknown amount of time is an extra $189 on top of the GA tickets. That's only for one person, so if you wanted to meet both Dan and Phil and Lindsey Stirling for example, you would have to pay $65 for your general admission, $189 for Lindsey and then another $189 for Dan and Phil. But say you wanted to meet all the talent, both headlining and not headlining it's $450, still not including the admission price. (and there's only 50 of these available)

For an event like this is this normal? Because for the age group that they seem to be marketing this towards, generally teens, this would be a lot of money if you wanted to meet everyone and go to the festival.

You don't get to meet any of the acts there of course but anyway. That's a lot of money for a one day festival and the only big star they have in their line-up is Lindsey Sterling. I think the admission prices are okay because I guess they include watching the acts perform but it is only one day and having to pay so much money to meet the acts seems kind of ridiculous to me. That's exactly what I was thinking, there's really not value for money in these tickets. And I also just noticed that there is a +fees attached to all of the prices, which I assume is a handling fee , booking fee or something of the sort which is quite common, but does increase the price. I feel like the organisers didn't really take into consideration the people who would be buying these tickets and their means of paying for them.

I might still consider going depending on who else is going to go to this event.

Yeah it's really strange. It's not part of the normal Amplify Live thing and Deppy also haven't mentioned anything about it and also why the fuck is Nash Grier also in the lineup...

Also with meet and greet prices are really high and it just seems kinda fucked up, like the GA is actually not that bad but it kinda just seems a bit ridiculous
