Phil said he'd miss a couple of live shows.
I'm loving living through them while in Japan, their photos and stories are all gorgeous! The deer stories and pics are the best

I'm very excited to see what's in store for Japhan today ^_^
In the meantime, Anthony tweeted this and I have to admit it made me laugh. Outdated joke, of course, but eh I found it amusing. Maybe it'll give Dan an excuse to tweet again.

Ha, that’s funny. That’s such a lovely photo and a little brooding like a headshot from a play programme.

Yeah I'm not expecting them back until middle or end of next week, and I also do think they'll probably try and skew when they're actually home to have some days of peace and recovery from jetlag. (Unless they're spotted at the airport and give up the effort.)noodlebum wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2019 7:07 am Phil said he'd miss a couple of live shows.

I am in the camp of wanting them to stay there, though. I'm just loving the daily boost. (Okay, maybe not today, but tbh that just makes me super intrigued about what they might have done today that they don't wanna share?)
I was a little disappointed we didn’t get any posts today but I understand. Sometimes you don’t want to share when you’re on vacation so it’s ok. I’m not fully convinced they’re still in Japan though - dan’s been liking tweets for the last few hours and it’s hard to tell if it’s an end of the day liking spree or just his normal pattern.
Someone on twitter did point out that Phil’s mysterious hoodie ships today and they’ve chosen today to be quiet. I don’t think the two are related it is a funny coincidence

warning: this theory is based on basically nothing
so.. osaka has one of the bigger international airports, it’s possible they plan on flying home to london out of osaka. but personally..i’m wondering if they’re planning on traveling north this trip? if they did, they’d probably fly, right? since hokkaido is a separate island? (idk if that’s preferable, i’ve never been to japan...maybe flying would be bougie and unnecessary) it does look like the climate is significantly colder and i don’t know that phil’s black hoodie and flimsy II red jacket are sufficient for that but boyyyyy does my mind go places thinking of them checking into a spa/onsen nestled in snow covered mountains.........

Like Dan said in BIG, he’s not going to tell us who he’s doing it with and when (gone are the days of Uma Thurman just watched me have sex) but it sure seems pretty obvious sometimes!alittledizzy wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2019 4:26 pmAn anon on tumblr just told me it rained today in Osaka so........... you may not be wrong there.rizzo wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2019 3:53 pm Guys, come on! Dan and Phil on vacation from being entertainers are more entertaining than they are when they're being entertainers. I'm confused by this concept.
Well, maybe that's not fair to Phil, but either way the entertainment is much more fulfilling. They pet deer.

Since we don't have fresh Japhan 2.0 content for today, let's look back on the 22nd of November 2016 shall we?
That's right. It's been three years since the BONCAs! Three years since matching glittery jacktes. Three years since our boys sweeped this one hit wonder of an award show. Three years since Phil won Best Creator. Three years since he invited Dan onto the stage with him because he spent the majority of 2016 with him. And three years since we all cried and screamed.
It has also been 10 years since Dan's famous biology tweet.

dan's biology tweet is truly iconic. i saw that quote on tumblr today and the post had over a million notes. i think it's safe to say most of the people who liked/reblogged have no idea who dan is or what the context is. i wouldn't quite say it's gone viral, but it is wild how that small snippet of dnp history has gone kinda mainstream and has been shared widely by 'famous quotes' websites and blogs.

I really hope they go to Hiroshima as well! It’s quite close to Osaka, it’s even possible to make it a day trip from there.
It’s got important history, a nice town, cute little trams and Hiroshima Okonomiyaki (they ate the Osaka one so I‘d absolutely recommend it in Hiroshima as well, they are made with soba!)
But most importantly, there‘s Miyajima! The island with the famous shrine in the sea.
It’s incredibly beautiful at sunset and SO worth a visit when you’re in the area. Miyajima also has many wild (but almost too tame) deer walking through town and a beautiful park for momiji, perfect for this season.
So what I‘m trying to say is, I really hope they’ll see and experience all of it!

i think this twitter like is the most explicit dan has ever been about how he's voting (although it's been fairly obvious since at least the 2017 election anyway).
in other news, they're back in tokyo for the final fantasy cafe. i wonder if they're passing through before heading up north, since you can get the bullet train all the way to hokkaido. after all, phil did say they were going to go all over japan.

I mean he's always liked Labour tweets hasn't he? And in the 2017 election seemed to be fairly public about supporting Corbyn (he made that ditty didn't he?). I dunno, I don't see his liking that tweet as particularly surprising but good for him.bluecaterpillar wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2019 12:08 pm i think this twitter like is the most explicit dan has ever been about how he's voting (although it's been fairly obvious since at least the 2017 election anyway).
Dan being quite vocal about his politics has always made me wonder about Phil's politics. I can't imagine Dan standing Phil if he was a Tory but I genuinely have no idea what Phil's politics might be other than "can't be something that Dan finds abhorrent". Makes you wonder if Phil might be one of those "I'm not super interested in politics" people (I assume he at least votes though) or if he just has a very different attitude to Dan in terms of sharing political views online.

i mean it has been obvious he supports labour for ages, it's just previously he's been more jokey - the ditty meme being a prime example. this time around the stuff he's been liking has been put on twitter with a more serious political intent. although maybe it's just that the funny stuff, like the ditty, or the time he got retweeted by edward snowden and dm'ed by corbyn, has stuck in my mind and he did like a bunch of more serious stuff last election. the bozzy tweet just seems like more of a straight-up 'vote for this party' endorsement. which there's nothing wrong with - i like it when dan gets political on twitter!parallel wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2019 12:22 pm I mean he's always liked Labour tweets hasn't he? i am also really curious about phil's politics. my assumption is that he's made a conscious decision to keep that kind of thing out of his public profile. the most i can remember hearing from him are a few negative comments about brexit. given that he's said many times he's a non-confrontational person, i wonder if he avoids the topic so that he's not in a position for family members or random strangers on the internet to argue with him about it. like, i try to avoid talking about politics with my mother, because we disagree but neither of us are going to change our minds, so arguing would be pointless. i'm quite possibly projecting here but i do really relate to phil's dislike of confrontation.

ok, so basically only because Mandy yelled at me to write a rainy day smutty thing (okay so it was my idea), I did some reasearch and found a place where they have spring AND fall blooming cherry trees not far from Tokyo.
CONSPIRACY THEORY ALERT.
They went back to Tokyo to go to see these cherry blossoms. They took a rainy day, are messing with timelines with pictures and are being disgustingly romantic with some fucking trees.
IN OTHER NEWS
How DARE Dan post that selfie when I have a headache and it is (was) 7am and I was trying to write rainy day smut. Now it's rainy day smutty feels and my body was not ready.
ADENDUM
Always open for more Sirs Dan and Phil. a+ content.
