I am interested in this album; it is not my usual listen but I am intrigued and will probably buy it. Those who know it— why do you think it resonates with Dan and what do you like about it?

It's a really fantastic album, I definitely recommend giving it a listen! kavat and glitterintheair (idk how to @ you guys, sorry!) took the words right out of my mouth, ive been desperately hoping for dan to comment on it.

Re: what the album is about, it is (imo)about going through grief, letting go of a friend/bad influence in one's life (specifically it is about the group having to kick out their member ameer vann after allegations of abuse and other activities were made against him). It is also about betrayal but finding comfort and love in those around you, learning to cope and move past trauma.

The album is an outpouring of emotion, it is intense and heavy and raw/blunt with what the members are feeling over their situation.

i couldn't say Exactly why it resonates with dan of course, but I would guess the themes of rawness, truth, and self-expression, and the act of exploration of trauma and the ultimate attempt to move past one's trauma that is at the emotional centre of the album, would be things that have been at the front of dan's mind for the past year or so, for likely obvious reasons.

I'm not great at explaining/writing but this album is all i can think about lol so hopefully that helps!

(also wanna say that I love that this incred album by one of dan's favourite music groups has come out and that dan has been able to connect with it so much, im sure that must be quite a feeling for him.)

35 minutes? 35 minutes??? ahhh that's longer than i ever hoped for! for some reason i had it in my head that we'd get a 10 minute clip for the extended version of the interview. now it makes more sense why it's taking so long for the full interview to be released.

i really hope the interview gives us an insight into the creative process involved in making basically i'm gay! his instastory about how he deliberately used music by lgbtq composers was really cool but mostly just left me thirsty for more bts details.

Omg I didn't notice that until you pointed it out! I hope he doesn't have to cut it much more than that because I just love seeing Dan in his element like this and that's definitely a lot more than I thought too. I'm so excited, and tbh I had very low hopes for this.

Ben’s been calling it the full 10 minute version, and I think someone here explained that IGTV where he’s uploading it will host a maximum of 10 minutes.

‘Trying to edit now for this week’ kind of implies he hasn’t edited it yet too. So he might just be announcing his intent. I hope he ends up having time. I miss hearing Dan speak.

I looked it up and if the account is verified the video can be up to an hour long.

I mean I know he's probably going to cut it down to like 10 mins but I fully want the raw 35 min version. I'll take what we get happily but just thinking about the unedited version and everything Dan could talk about and all the content that we might not even see... *whispers* I want it.

The ups and downs of the theorizing on the length of Dan’s interview vid are so agonizing! I don’t like getting my hopes up only to be disappointed.

I'm very over all the people freaking out about Dan flirting with guys on insta and I know a lot of other people are too but I just saw his latest tweet and there is no part of me that doesn't believe he didn't post that just to fuel the fire and I am cackling over it

Ooh, that opens the door for a much longer video. I certainly wouldn’t complain. And Ben wouldn’t have to make the editorial decisions on how to cut 35 minutes down to 10. Everyone wins!
