I don't know a lot about Hazel yet I do think I would be more interested in this new video if it were someone else there. (like peej maybe). But! I really am excited to see Tom! Even if this is all for promo and merch stuffs...

Aaaalso... Am I the only one who thinks that the dreaded week in March may have had something to do with this board game? My mind is saying yes and no.

Do you think that from now on the phandom is going to be a little extra regarding Dan's mental health? I mean, i can fully picture a ls where the chat is constantly asking if he had a depressive episode that week or something like that and I feel bad because he explicitly said that he don't want to be indentified by it and i think MAYBE is what the phandom is going to do?
I don't know maybe i'm being pessimistic or something.

I think it's going to be a blessing and a curse type of situation, because the flip side of it is now that if Dan were to say "Hey, no video this week. I know I said so, but it's a rough week." people will not hound him and (dear god, I hope) we also won't see that endless cycle of 'he's lazy, he takes his fans for granted, they're coasting on the fanbase, he's just not hard working like [insert youtuber who uploads twice a day].'

But I'm also on team 'please don't coddle him.'

Im a little worried as well. I saw a post telling everyone to be nice to Dan in the chat tomorrow and I was internally like “No!! Call him a rat!” because I don’t think Dan would want to be babied or treated differently because of it. I mean stuff like people pointing out his weight gain a few years ago and stuff like that was too far but I don’t think the teasing should stop because Dan said may times that he loves that he has this type of relationship with his audience.

Like everything I’m sure a few people will be annoying and try to coddle him, but most people will go back to normal in a week or so/whenever there’s something else phan related to talk about. I dread the next time Dan doesn’t tweet for awhile or act weird in a liveshow though because I’d feel slightly bad about speculation on websites he can see.

Yeah, that's a definite possibility. Hopefully people won't feel too much of a need to baby him, as secretagentphan said, he's stated that he likes his dynamic with his audience.

Basically just this, I hate the thought of people changing the way they interact with Dan, even if it's with good intent. The relationship between Dan and his fans wouldn't be benefitted by constantly trying to treat him "gently", like he can't handle things.

I personally hate stuff like that, when people assume that you can't take care of yourself just because you have a mental health issue- I've had someone walk on eggshells all the time around me after I confided in them about my own mental health issues and it drove me insane, like I'm literally the same person! I can't speak for Dan but I doubt he told us about this part of himself so that fans would interact with him differently- I'm certainly not going to.

On the flip side I'd hate to see the invasive analysis of whether or not Dan's having a good or bad day, mental health wise. I'm already semi-uncomfortable with how deeply some fans look into things, I'm worried that "depressed proof" would be a whole new "Phan-proof" situation where people are looking for evidence of him having a depressive episode, something that's none of their business. Maybe I'm just being too cynical though, and assuming the worst before it even happens

Any guesses/hopes for what they'll play today?

I'd love for them to play something new. i love the game overcooked and mario kart, don't get me wrong. but it'd love to see a new game on a livestream like.. i dunno, something they usually wouldn't play. probably won't happen though :/

Whatever they play, I hope it's something they can play together, as opposed to doing individual rounds on Mario Kart. Although I do love their MK videos/livestreams, I feel like since one of them is focused on the game, the bants are a bit less entertaining. Gimme co-op games and deppy bickering but eventually coming together to beat the game any day of the week (aka crash bandicoot pt.2. please, my crops are dying).

I second this. their crash bandicoot letsplay is one of my absolute favourite gaming vids. they should totally play it again also, this might be selfish of me but I wish they would focus on the chat less because I just want their unfiltered bickering, the ultimate wish is for them to forget they have an audience for a moment.... but yeah lol as if, they're too professional

I agree, I don't think it sounds horrible at all. I'm most interested in their interactions and banter. The chat moves so damn fast and there's no way in hell that I would personally spend money on a premium message, so I don't really care too much about their interacting with the chat. Just personal preference really.

I would love for more unfiltered gameplay. I just wanna watch them hanging out honestly

Definitely agree about them ignoring the chat more - they've got their individual live shows for interacting with fans! Also definitely want more collab games and longer streams...tv is crap on Saturdays and an hour hanging out with the guys would be a most pleasant use of the time

same here, plus it might just be my personal pet peeve or whatever, but I get second-hand embarrassment when they give shout outs to groupchats with sexual manes lmao like the "phil's monster coke" thing, it kinda bothers me because Dan and Phil are adults and those fans are most likely a bunch of kids and it's weird how they sexualize DnP like that, idk :/

but yeah, I mostly just want them to play a game they could be immersed in, to see their natural interaction/dynamic, longer streams would be cool as well. and good point about them interacting with fans during their liveshows, DatCog. but then again usually streamers have to read the chat a lot because that makes people donate more, I guess that's why they do it.

Don't know anything about this game but it looks cute!

Their audio+webcam is out of sync with the game again! It's only like half a second, but you hear Phil's death squeak before his character dies. Was the same in Mario Cart, when they were upset about being hit before the shell actually hit.

I've never been more inclined to actually send a superchat, but I don't wanna use my YT for that (dont ask). Someone please let them know D:

I'm all for longer streams but I don't blame them for quitting after that level, holy moly. I do admire that they "persisted" through it tho.

Loved watching them play this game together.
Seeing them (mostly Phil tbh) not being great at it was funny.
