Ah crap, I wanted to read this like... 2 days ago but I couldn't find it .

Now I'm sad.
It was deleted bc the author plagiarized from a 1D fic so I don't have much sadness for it being gone, really. Deleting it was the one thing the author did right.
It was the beta who plagiarised, wasn't it? The author said on tumblr that they didn't know it had happened, and that was why they took it down as soon as they found out.
The plot of phantm was extremely similar to the plot of the larry fic and multiple lines/paragraphs are a time were lifted from the other fic, so I'm extremely dubious over that excuse the author made. Beta readers make suggestions on wording/grammar/inconsistencies/general structure and pacing, they don't typically rewrite entire paragraphs. I mean, at that point, it's not even a beta writer - it's a co-writer.

Aha, I see. Yeah, fair enough.

Hi all. Just finished TABINOF. So it got me thinking if anyone knows of any fanfic that's about them writing the book? I'd prefer if it's not AU. Especially if it's about them writing/reacting to the fanfics they've written. Thank you so much in advance if anyone knows one. :D

Recently i have found this amazing series: Days in the Married Life of Dan and Phil by umathurmanjustwatchedmehavesex. This is writing in vlogging format, as a proper video and bloopers. They come out after their wedding and they start making videos as husbands.
And "the sexy but committed end screen dance" bit is freakin' fantastic.
And i love dizzy's work too! I should made proper fic rec someday, but now i have to go to work. ;)

An amazing example of how much depth you can get with first person writing when used well: An Unfinished List of Some Things I've Been Meaning to Tell You by snsk.

I really enjoyed this fic. Famous! Dan x plantboy! Phil. It's really cute and even though it's not a reality fic it still made me smile

I've been reading too much phanfiction since summer started (I appreciate the art okay  )

My newest favorite: Phoenix Down

Phil gets gravely injured when attempting to save children from a fire and now Dan has to help him recover and deal with the pain of leaving things unsaid! It's a reality fic (of sorts) and I'm loving it especially because it's a fairly long fic and comes with an even better sequel :thumb:

The final two chapters of i don't blame you much (for wanting to be free) by The_Blonde have been posted! It's 7 chapters and 47142 words overall, and definitely one of the best Phan au's I've read.

The glorious snsk has written two fics for her new series 19th century love song (they are actually set in the 19th century and are beautifully written), and has also posted a second part in her puppy play chronicles.

Remember that cute af Hogwarts au Emergency Substitute by parentaladvisorybullshitcontent? The author has written another adorable au but this time it's set in space and called Never Fade Away. From the summary: "In which Phil's an astronaut alone on Mars and Dan's a lowly tech down at Ground Control who can't get him out of his head".

I'll try to wait until I have a longer list of recs before posting next time, but I was very eager to share this one.
