I’m not sure how not-my-hands Mario would even be possible, I would like to see them try but it’s not much of a challenge if they’re doomed from the start. Personally I would rather them use the conjoined sweater, but still use one controller, so one person controls half of the buttons. Would be a disaster but still could work? Maybe?

Dan said so. I think it was the last Mario Kart livestream. He said that Phil thought of the idea but Phil wasn’t sure if it would work out.

Random question - So I know videos are getting demonetized these days for having even one swear word in them. Has Dan been swearing any less, or bleeping out his swearing? I haven't noticed a change, but it's not something I've been particularly looking out for before this either.

I'm just curious, because I wouldn't think they would give up the monetization on the gaming vids (or individual videos either, but I can see business-man phil telling dan to cut it out on the joint videos if it was losing them money). Has anyone noticed any changes? And also, since the big incentive for gamingmas would be to have a bunch of videos in December when adsense is highest, I wonder if we're going to get a lot of bleeping out in those videos.

Not that it really matters in the end (although I'm with dan that a good swear word in the right situation really adds to a sentence, and is only crude in few situations), but I just thought of this and wondered if anyone else had considered this.

I actually have noticed that Dan cusses less. If you watch a video you can see when he’s about to swear and then he will change it into another word. I wondered if after the crash bandicoot video, which had so many swears in it, they decided to hold back.

I want solo games aswell. Badgers are christmassy and I want more shelter!!! dan could probably play Pokemon go or something.

Definitely loved Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes - I'm really hoping for that (and Not My Arms Mario Kart) this Gamingmas.

I'm also one of the people still waiting desperately for a candle haul- I'm like an audiophile but with smell

Ooh that's interesting, and now that you mention it, I can think of some times recently where dan changed the word before he actually swore. He's also done that in the past too, but he may be doing it more recently. I'm gonna try to keep a look out for that during gamingmas.

I would love another Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes! I enjoy pretty much all dnp gaming vids, but keep talking and nobody explodes is one of the games I enjoy for the actual game-play as well since I love anything to do with puzzle solving (and of course, deppy working together in stressful situations always makes for a great video).

Honestly same at this point, I've moved over to the "no ditl this year side."
I had assumed they'd make one (and the festive ditl was in late december!) but honestly at this point I think they won't. I'll just count the dog video as a ditl.

Yes, good point! I want to see them succeed and kick ass as a team and show off their psychic connection. They're actually really good at the game, they just need to actually work through all the levels sequentially like you are supposed to do. I think they could crush it if they did that - and it's so much more satisfying to watch that way.

I bet it's been discussed before, but I wonder why Dan does yell so much. Because he wants to be the dominant speaker? Because he wants to enunciate and be sure he's not mumbling? Because he finds it funnier than speaking in a "inside voice"?! I mean, he's aware of it and I'm pretty sure that in some of his videos where it's scripted (childhood dan videos for example) he plans to have his voice like that. Whywhywhywhywhy YouTube should be demonetising overzealous puppies with curly brown hair that give people headaches not swearwords

More satisfying to watch, but also a bit more boring? I've completed the game myself and I know that you don't have any time for banter, especially in the later levels. You need very systematic and efficient communication to stay in the time limit. I loved watching them play it but I also know that their gaming channel isn't very serious or "tryhard" so I am not sure if they'd wanna try to complete more levels.

I’ve always just thought Dan’s screaminess is his dramatic side. I love the description of him as an overzealous curly-haired puppy, that’s adorable. He’s so cuddly, the screaming often has me wanting to shush him, gotta love maternal feelings. I don’t mind the screaming tbh, it’s just part of him.

This bothers me so much as well. You'd think that being a new company, a new beginning, this would be the perfect chance to update their talent's profiles. But apparently, for them, it's not. Like, Tomska's page - apart from featuring pictures of him from 3 years ago - still has this paragraph saying, "Tom stars, alongside Zoella and fellow FlipSide clients Niki & Sammy in ‘The Creators’ a feature length documentary..." I mean, how lazy is that?

One thing though, above the fray's twitter is just the old flipsidetalent's twitter with a new name. So maybe their old clients will all eventually be moved to the new company?

Eh. I don't think they'd put Monster of the Deep on DAPG because it's set in the larger FFXV universe and I doubt the majority of their subs would know what's going on. It's not related to the plot, but it just seems like a weird game to upload without context where there are these random characters most viewers wouldn't know. They're both FF trash so they probably just played it because it's FF.

i always thought the same. i don’t think theres any meaning behind it to psycho-analyse, he’s just dramatic.

also that’s pretty lazy of them to not update it wow, it’s not too difficult to change some text

I’m hoping for this as well. He did say no ls this week (during his last ls). There is a big raid in Guild Wars apparently. His wording for dinof was confusing. I thought he was saying it would be this (past) weekend after pinof (which I immediately thought no, don’t overshadow it), but maybe he meant the weekend after pinof, so this coming weekend. Today would make sense as far as Gamingmas scheduling is concerned, but it all just depends on when he had/has time to film and edit. I’m still just expecting ISG.

I like screamy Dan just fine.

I'd be happy with an ISG. Dan trying to be helpful is always funny, and sometimes even helpful.

I find screamy Dan funny, so I'm fine with it, even though it means I often have to turn my volume up and down throughout a video. I also find that he doesn't overdo it for me, unlike some youtubers who seem to just scream constantly.
