Omg, missemma, that's wonderful. Dan even looks like he's kicking the pigeons like the obnoxious neighbour from hell he really is
I'm not entirely sure how far you guys are serious on these tinfoil theories. Purposely showing the bedroom for reasons? Hmm. Interesting. Dan said Phil needed the PC because he was working out game streaming as Macs are useless for games, which in my limited experience is sadly true even when the Mac has the hardware capability. The Sims 4 crashed and Guild Wars 2 juddered around. To that end, I now don't get why Dan couldn't use his usual nook with his iMac cos the PC is in the gaming room, I'm flummoxed. Dan had that shoe rack in the old apartment and it was full of boring trainers then too, they could well all be his. I have about that many pairs and can't even wear some because of heels and my back (I live in hope).
Had a cute surprise notification of a note from Dan on my YouNow profile, not bad after one from Phil, clementine-themed, the other week and then a goodbye last time. It said something like "thanks for spending an hour in my dank den now go have a drink". I'm curious how those work, are they totally random or what, who knows.

This is causing me extreme stress. Like how? do? you? look at that? and see a floor? as someone who is 80% cardboard I can confirm that it is cardboard. Fight me. I also wasn't fully convinced and saw the whole thing as cardboard, but the shade of both the flooring and the wall matches so perfectly to the screencaps from today's show. Also, there is no edge to the "cardboard" in the picture - it's very blurry and unfinished. I'm convinced at this pointAfunnyworld wrote:This is causing me extreme stress. Nope, I've spent many minutes studying the centipede photo and it's on a wooden floor... 's wooden floor! I will never concedeAfunnyworld wrote:This is causing me extreme stress. The "cardboard" or a thin sheet of something that looks like cardboard is only halfway under the glass the rest is wood flooring!998274 wrote:I also wasn't fully convinced and saw the whole thing as cardboard, but the shade of both the flooring and the wall matches so perfectly to the screencaps from today's show. But it could all just be an optical illusion caused by the bad lighting, which matches the bad lighting in the moon room!

can confirm that Macs are shit for games - Sims 3 on Mac is an interesting experience, even my old hairdryer laptop ran it better than my Mac.flarequake wrote:Omg, missemma, that's wonderful. Dan even looks like he's kicking the pigeons like the obnoxious neighbour from hell he really is

I'm deadly serious when I say they're doing this with a goal in mind. Its something I can see them talking about, and planning. Even having help from their network etc. They plan things and know how to hype and reveal, look at TABINOF/TATINOF and even things like the gaming channel and the move. There is no reason there wouldn't have been another location in their house to live show from, and there is no reason Phil couldn't have tested things out before or after. Or even yesterday - doing it the night Dan is on YouNow meaning he has to move into his room, doesn't sit right with me.
Also, I'm glad so many people enjoy my tinfoil i'm amused i've inadvertently caused moving hype 2.0 when I wasn't even here for moving hype 1.0

You can see the blue source directly a bit when he pans to the rug, it looks like it's in a separate (dark) room. Every frame is blurry except when he stops on the rug, and then you can barely see it in the corner.obscureDnPreference wrote:I think you're right about the Chromecast, actually! I think it's all floor and that's just another panel of the hardwood with a different grain. The cardboard would have to be the exact same color as the wood, and I think that's doubtfulmoaninglisa wrote:what do you mean it's all cardboard?Afunnyworld wrote:This is causing me extreme stress. I feel really bad overanalyzing this because i have moments of 'why is everybody obsessed with them being together, they can be totally platonic best BEST friends', but then i'm like 'than can't be platonic at all, they are so in love and blah blah blah'
Am i the only one with this problem?
maybe this is me procrastinating university stuff

Now the only thing that's bothering me is why cut off the feet in both pictures???
New theory: Phil actually wears matching socks and only pretends that he is a quirky bean with different socks for views.
I'm sorry, it's three am and I'll show myself out

You can kind of see the top of the left sock in the second picture, but I can tell if it's the same sock or not.998274 wrote:Now the only thing that's bothering me is why cut off the feet in both pictures???

Is there another instance of this sock anywhere?

Firstly:

Secondly:
I am totally in full mode because there is absolutely no reason for Dan to do the liveshow from his bedroom because, as previously mentioned, he was on his laptop. So why not do it where Phil has been doing his, or in the downstairs lounge, or in the gaming room, or the upstairs lounge, or literally anywhere where the lighting isn't absolutely horrendous.
A lot of the time, I doubt Phan because """it's not that deep"""-Dan and Phil aren't that calculating and most things are the phandom overanalyzing, but...I'm just genuinely stumped as to why he did the liveshow from his bedroom. Initially, I thought maybe he finally wanted to show off his cool moon decor he had told us about, but within the first 5 minutes or so he says he doesn't want to show his room because he thinks it isn't "aesthetically pleasing"?? Like?? I really cannot think of another explanation to him doing this other than they're testing our reactions/what we're able to pick up on because they are both extremely aware of what goes on within the phandom, and I'd find it hard to believe they have not seen the talk about Phil's room being a "set" or "beardroom": it's in the YT comments, on Twitter, the YouNow chat, Tumblr. So Dan knows, maybe not the extent of the conversation, but in general, the big "hooplah" (for lack of a better term) surrounding his bedroom. So why, after telling us you weren't gonna film in there anyway, are you- knowing the phandom will overanalyze everything. I feel like every few months we get "Phan is real confirmed!11!!" (wood floors! they share the room!) and then a few months later we always get a form of denial. But this constant cycle of "Is Phan real???" keeps them relevant and keeps fans interested. I feel like its always two steps forward one step backwards (I am not implying queerbaiting by the way). But we've been seeing a change in the past year and I hope that continues
. Maybe he couldn't film in the the other rooms because they've started packing things up for their forever home and there are boxes everywhere? Or, he knows the intrigue surrounding the room situation and felt like throwing us a bone to see what we do with it. Or, sweet Daniel is innocent to the inner workings of the tin-hat-conspiracy-theorist FBI-agent level obsession of his fanbase. I'm hoping its the latter.

Or he just realizes he/they can't control what people are interested in/going to obsess about and doesn't care to stress over it himself. He sat on his bed for an hour instead of at a desk, that's literally all that just happened.

wow, I am behind af. I have been lurking but havent had time to post.
1. I am very sad that Tomska decided to keep his doggo at home instead of bring it to set because it meant no Dan holding the puppy between takes. -1 doggo point for tom.
2. Anthony basing a whole video on phil and a doggo is a blessing. +10 doggo points to Anthony.
3. I am shocked that phanthony filmed so many videos together??? I was expecting just the three, one for each channel but we keep getting these extra videos popping up outta nowhere. I've always had a theory that the people who get to collab with deppy are those who have the persistence to bother them the most until they relent (with some small exceptions of course). I feel like they spent the whole day with Anthony and just kept coming up with ideas and shooting things and giggling and it makes me happy that he might be a new casual friend. I cannot believe that Deppy would have worked up the courage to ask Anthony for a collab, this was all 100% him asking them and no one can change my mind.
4. There were people saying the emo vid mocked coming out videos/culture, but to me (someone who has only watched a handful of those vids) I saw it as mocking the old 90's anti drug videos we were forced to watch in school.
5. Dan sitting cross legged on the couch next to anthony, then sitting on his knees while shaking his behind while singing and getting his nails painted and doing someone's hair? I didn't know I needed all of that in my life, but apparently I did. So blessed. If only Phils filming room wasn't so tiny, we could have had this body language in the hair curling vid.
6. I haven't watched the liveshow, but the little stickies Phil was using to put those soundproof things up are totally temporary and meant not to leave a mark and those pads will never stay up. Don't give up on move 2.0, that was not a longterm solution lol.
7. I see both cardboard shoved against the wall and hardwood floors depending on what I am thinking, so i give up. regardless, phil does not sleep in that tiny room. Just like Dan did not sleep in the tiny bunk. Nice try.
8. I need more youtubers to force deppy into interacting with their doggos. the more doggos they pet, the faster they will move. Get on it people.
9. gaming livestream thoughts...boardgames or bust. I like video games slightly more edited because there are lots of boring bits. Dream Daddy for example is a bit slow at times and a lot of reading, and I have enjoyed edited runs more than unedited.
I think that's it...everything else I have to say has been said perfectly here, so assume I agree with anything positive lol.
*edit - I just read that I have to wait for three other videos before the next sims vid and they lost -15 doggo points just for that.

that might very well not be the exact design...but if it is then the top bits of his socks don't match as the left one seems yellow, idk though also, it's 5 am and i don't have a life
anyways, that's my important contribution, duh. love that everyone is so chill about room sharing stuff, btw

i could write the longest post ever about that ls and all the theories, but as it's 5 am i'll just say that i'm soooo excited for their live streams, especially gaming!! most of the other youtubers that i'm this passionate about are also (twitch) streamers. i've connected with my fave ytrs via stream chats, i've made new friends, i've spent nights watching streams where there can be actually deep and interesting conversations between the streamer and strangers watching... (ofc not excepting anything like that from deppy as they have 10 x bigger audience & you can moderate twitch chats so that you can have a good quality conversation with hundreds of people, but the yt chat makes that impossible. but just the idea of a stream makes me so happy!) and idk man, if the streamer is actually interacting with the audience, i often find it so much more enjoyable than even an A+ youtube video.
the only shade i'm throwing is about youtube streaming being so hard to use, like oh no phil has to download obs and make it work somehow, it's so complicated ??? m8 you literally download it, get the link or something for youtube, add monitors and a mic to the scene and click "start streaming". i'm a 16 year old with no ict knowledge at all and it took me 30 minutes. their job is basically being on a computer, they did a radio show for bbc and have been recording gaming videos for years, but yeah whatever you consider complicated

I haven't gotten a chance to watch the ls yet, but boy am I looking forward to it. But it seems like weird mixed messages from them today. Phil's all "Hey we're putting up soundproofing panels" (which I've been wishing they would do since their first gaming video there) we'll be here awhile" and later Dan's like "Hey lets have a liveshow in my bedroom that I wasn't ever going to show you, also we might get evicted, no more confusing apartment, yay!" (paraphrasing and over exaggerating from your guy's reports). Okay then boys.
The white fabric reminds me of one of those short silk robes, but the skinny line trailing down to the silver chair is throwing me off, it seems too long and stiff to be the robe tie and more like a cord. My question is what is it hanging off of? It seems like a fabric panel. Also what is leaning against the mirror on the right? It seems like a flag on a pole. And wtf is on the top left of the shoe rack? It looks like a dragon. Curious about the mysterious blue light as well.
Really I just came here to say that the centipede trapped under the glass is 100% on all wooden flooring. The other three adults in the room with me agree (without any context, just being shown the pic. Two of us are trained artists. So yeah, I'll fight you.) Oh and one child says cardboard (clearly he doesn't believe in phan and I'm disowning him).
