I am whelmed, but tbh the Why I Was A Weird Kid series has never been a favorite of mine. I hope others can appreciate the throwback content more than I do.

What a lovely throwback! I always appreciate a surprise video drop, even if it's a spon. He felt very rushed in this again, I felt like I should have watched it at 0,75 speed.

It's always fun to learn more about his childhood and life, but it's probably not going into the rewatch category (however the house listings video i rewatched just yesterday).

I don't know exactly what it is about the house listings video, but I have researched it several times as well! Watched this video twice, though, I always love a good personal anecdote video even if they are silly or from childhood. Got any more Awkward Stories from the Closet, Phil?

I think that series was a good choice for Pokemon spon though I also can't help but imagine the hilarity of Dan and Phil playing Pokemon (the card game) together. This is probably a bias because I just got into the card game online a month or so ago (and for the first time in my life!! I know something about Pokemon!) but I just feel like between Dan's info dumping about Pokemon and Phil's inattention to detail it would be a total mess.

I've watched it a couple of times just since it's the newest video and I miss his face, but once it's not the newest I also probably won't be rewatching this outside of birthday marathons. I did enjoy it a lot though, and I like his recent habit of just dropping it beyonce style with no heads up. I think it makes everyone like a video more? Or at least people are so pleasantly surprised by the video that they judge it less harshly. No time to build anticipation, etc.

I think this is very true. Whenever we have any hint of the next video people will inevitable have hopes and expectations, many that are going to get disappointed. Viewers pick my presents comes to mind.

Though he did ask for birthdays on IG stories yesterday and that draws a blank for me. What on earth is he going to do with that?

I have to admit I am dubious about a video concept that could also be a short. It feels like if it could be a short, it shouldn't be a video? Unless it's buying his viewers birthday presents in which case Phil sir I can send you my amazon wishlist.

I'm guessing it's going to be another installment of his Google search history? He used viewer supplied dates for the last one (which was just over 3 years ago).

There was a trend on IG a while back where people would send in random dates and you would show a picture from that day from your camera roll. But that has nothing to do with birthdays...

Tumblr has started doing these ask games and I'm enjoying them a lot.

One of them was 'favorite tweet' and it led me to So many tweets I'd absolutely forgotten about. Like Phil getting locked outside in those pajamas? Ugh that was some prime content that fed exactly what I crave: Dan and Phil being delightful shits at each other.

This is a cute series of shorts from Phil... But it makes me wonder exactly how much is he being paid for Shorts that it's worth posting 12 individual vids on his second channel instead of a 10-12 minute long video on main?

It’s a fun idea, but I’d rather have a long video. I wish Dan would do something long-form. Phil never really wants to go more than 1/2 hour. I need Dan to give me something to really sink my teeth into.

I actually think this premise works better as a series of shorts than it probably would as a normal, full-length video. It's a fun idea and I really enjoyed clicking through all the different videos but I'm not sure that many viewers would love sitting through a roll call of readings in one long video. I also have a feeling it would've been more rushed to try and hold interest. I am definitely hoping for a new long AP video soon but I've also really been liking what he's doing with the shorts recently!

It also seems like this is probably what he was asking for birth dates for. I wonder if he changed his mind or if we'll get another series of shorts/video with a different version of psychic Phil readings?
