This twitter photo makes me realize how torn I am about the hair. I see him with black hair and I'm like, yep, this is correct. But then I see him with brown (increasingly lighter!) hair and I'm like, this is a different person but I also very much endorse this. I think I am torn on the hair and the quiff and the only consensus I have with Phil is that I want him to put things in this hair. Flower crowns! Headbands! Lights!

As for Dan, long curls and silver hoop forever.

Long quiff with black hair for Phil. The brown has grown on me, but I'm still obsessed with the contrast between his black hair and translucent skin. That's very much my personal aesthetic preference though, since I do the same thing by dyeing my hair dark brown.

And obviously long curls for Dan, they make him look so soft. I have no real preference between the piercings, just maybe he could expand his horizons and go for a nice dangly chain with a cuff. Just imagine it. You're welcome.

Phil is nice. He liked Ricky Dillon and Niki Albon’s tweets about their coming out videos and I don’t think he’s super close to them but it’s nice he’s being supportive

for me, ideal dan was easily chopstick challenge (and "UK vs Japan School Lunches" by association):

i'm not picky about his earring situation either way. but those glossy curls and shaved sides??? STUNNING.

phil's peaking right now imho (when he's got the glasses on - WHEW!), but i wish he'd let his more ginger quiff grow out a bit and flop over a la CAH as others have mentioned:

i mean, can you imagine his hair just casually pushed back like that, whilst lighter in color? i drool. i do really like the lighter hair. there's something v satisfying to me about his eyebrows finally matching.

Hey guys, i dunno what to do anymore. I have recently been dismissed from my job whilst on probation which no reason, 24 and still living at home and missing Dan and Phil like crazy :'( really could do with someone right now, as I have no real friends irl as everyone else has started families and have their own lives but I am not so lucky. Dan and phil were one of the only means of happiness I had. Being realistic Dan isn't coming back, definately not like before anyway and that just makes me more upset. It's not even Dan and Phil, but most youtubers aren't uploading as frequently anymore but there's nothing to replace it. I have no hobbies, as have nothing I am good at, and no talent. I'm sorry, i shouldn't be expressing my emotions on here but I just need someone to listen, as I don't know honestly how much more I can take.

I've been there! It's awful trying to find a new hobby! But so important to find yourself one away from the internet so you have something real to ground yourself with and real people around you to lift you up and chat to!

Hey Becky,

I'm sorry you are having a rough time and I know it can be hard when your regular distractions aren't available or aren't working for you anymore.

I actually think Dan is a good model of self care that you could think about. As far as we know, he's eating decently, moving his body, taking care of his mental health, and giving himself a break.

Please be kind to yourself -- losing a job feels bad, I know. When I'm feeling my worst, it's very small things that can help. Taking a long shower, having a nice interaction with a stranger in a store or coffeeshop, petting a cat, watching a funny video. I hope you feel a bit better soon.

I definitely need to get some off screen time I think to try and refresh my mind, need to go for a weekend in a cabin or something away from technology. I sure hope Dan is enjoying himself and looking after himself having time away from toxic social media. I hope so Megan, just going through a rough patch at the moment.

I've been there! It's awful trying to find a new hobby! But so important to find yourself one away from the internet so you have something real to ground yourself with and people around you to lift you up and chat to!
I also didn't feel like I had any talents, and I started cross stitch for something away from a screen to do in the evening when watching movies (you can get a beginner's kit mega cheap with a pattern, or find tutorials on YouTube!) And I started doing roller derby, it's a really good sport to get into if you're not an athletic type! Really inclusive, supportive groups of people there to hype you up and teach you a new skill!
There's so many new hobbies around and everyone in their mid twenties is trying to find friends, it's such a weird transitional time in your life! Have a look on local events to see what clubs there are, it's nerve wrecking to go to the first session but most people feel equally nervous!

not to get too deep, but... heh. i will.

this feels like the kinda shit that just sorta bubbles over when you've spent months reading (or watching your boyfriend read) fan tirades about what they think you should or shouldn't do with your life/career/etc. and the opportunity to just bite back a little... even if it's just about going blonde? probs felt good to phil.

Agreed- sassy phil is the best Phil and these live shows have been a gem because he’s gotten so much more comfortable with us. This is the Phil that wouldn’t change his fringe because he was afraid of what we’d think and now he’s confidently saying he can shave it all off if he wants to.

Since I’m talking about confidence the other thing I really enjoyed was that Phil was reading all of the compliments in the chat and he was actually acknowledging them. He still gets bashful but to know he had such a good weekend at vidcon doing things on his own and then it spilled over onto Sunday was great. I may be biased but I’m definitely proud of him and he deserves all the good comments for trying things out of his comfort zone and thriving.
